Description

The present invention relates to a display intended for the presentation for sale of elongated products flexible type chains, ropes, son or the like.

Flexible elongated objects of the chain type, ropes, wires or the like, are sold by the linear meter usually in specialized stores offering tools, building materials, hardware or other similar products.

These objects are often presented rolled up on reels mounted in free rotation on axes horizontal, parallel to the vertical wall at which they are united.

The main disadvantage of this presentation is its size which economically damages the merchant, in particular because it is necessary to leave spaces between the drums to place cards product identification.

In addition, in some cases several drums are mounted on the same axis, which may require the seller to remove several to replace one.

Document FR-A-815 488 describes a piece of furniture presentation intended to contain spools of wire and internally comprising rods or pins which can be arranged obliquely or in steps so as to ensure the simultaneous visibility of a copy of each objects it contains, the end of each rod or spindle being arranged so as to be able to retain the first subject of each category.

Pins can be arranged obliquely so that the coils descend by gravity as and as we take out the one in front, which is retained by an eccentric hook or button arranged at the end of said pins.

This type of device, if it is suitable for objects such as spools of thread or other articles of haberdashery, not suitable for large drums dimensions likely to carry chains or ropes that you have to be able to take turns and rewind, because these manipulations could cause the fall of the drum.

The present invention aims to remedy these various drawbacks by offering a display that allows to exhibit many types of flexible elongated products in a reduced space and to facilitate handling, further facilitating the choice of the buyer.

The display according to the invention is characterized basically in that it includes pins parallel horizontal, regularly spaced, joined to the vertical wall so as to form with it an angle of 60 ° to 70 °, and on each of which can to be threaded a reel held by a flange which is secured to said spindle and also secured said reel to allow it to rotate by means of an eccentric handle fixed on said flange.

According to an additional characteristic of the display according to the invention a pin has nearby from its free end a peripheral groove with a width substantially greater than the thickness of the flange, and said flange has on the one hand a slightly eccentric orifice, with a diameter slightly greater than that of said spindle, and on the other hand peripherally, on its internal face, in diametrically opposite position relative to the center of said orifice, a jumper which, like the flange, is fitted a threaded hole into which the screw of the handle, the cheek of the drum having peripherally a edge directed outwards, the flange being threaded by its orifice on the spindle until it engages in the groove, as the rider spans the cheek of the reel and the end of the screw bears against the face outside of the cheek, under said rim.

The flanges used in the display according to the invention can advantageously be provided each a label on which the characteristics of the product rewound on the corresponding reel.

The set of display pins according to the invention can be advantageously surmounted by a desk on which are placed informative labels relating to the products wound on the reels, said desk that can be surmounted by a panel on which are hung product presentation cards likely to be detached by the buyer.

The advantages and features of the present invention will emerge more clearly from the description which follows and which relates to the appended drawing, which represents a non-limiting embodiment thereof.

If we refer to Figure 1 we can see that a display unit according to the invention comprises a vertical wall 1 having an upper part 10 on which are hung 2 product cards, possibly detachable by the buyer, and a lower part 11 where are exposed the products offered for sale, the parties upper 10 and lower 11 being separated by a desk 3.

The console 3 has an inclined plane 30 on which are affixed informative labels 31 each corresponding to a product offered for sale, the inclined plane 30 being capped with a transparent plate horizontal 32 along the edge of which are suspended samples 33 of said products, opposite the corresponding label 31.

The lower part 11 includes a frame metallic 4 fitted with horizontal bars 40 regularly spaced to which are joined, by one of their ends, pins 41, arranged in columns and in rows, and positioned horizontally parallel the to each other, but not perpendicular to the bars 40, with which they make an angle of about 70 °.

In addition, as can also be seen on the Figure 2, the pins 41 of the same column are not vertically aligned but at a certain slope, being slightly offset obliquely to allow a better overview.

On each of the pins 41 is threaded a drum 42 comprising a tubular body 43 and two cheeks 44, the product 45 offered for sale being wound on the body tubular 43.

If we now refer to Figures 3a and 3b we can see that a reel 42 is blocked on a spindle 41 at by means of a flange 5.

Pin 41 has, near its free end 46, a peripheral groove 47 with a width significantly greater than the thickness of the flange 5, and this the latter has a slightly eccentric orifice 50, of a diameter slightly greater than that of pin 41.

In addition, the cheek 44 of the drum 42 has peripherally a rim 48 directed outwards, and the flange 5 has on its inner edge, in position diametrically opposite from the center of the hole 50, a jumper 51 provided with a tapped hole 52 in which is screwed the screw 53 of a handle 54, through another threaded bore 57 formed on the periphery of the flange 5.

The flange 5 is threaded on pin 41 to the throat 47 and is engaged therein, while the rider 51 spans cheek 44 and screw 53 is completely screwed in the tapped hole 52, its end bearing against the outer wall 49 of the cheek 44 passing under its outer edge 48, thus making the flange integral 5 and the drum 42.

We can see in Figure 1 that each flange 5 includes a label 55 where the characteristics of the product 45 wound on the reel 42.

The label 55 also includes a gauge 56 allowing to approximate the quantity of remaining product wound on the reel 42.

We can also see in Figures 1 and 2 that console 3 has a ruler on its front edge graduated 34 allowing the buyer to measure the length of product he desires.

Cutting means such as cutting pliers to cut the product to the desired length can be fixedly secured to the display, for example laterally at desk 3, via a tab of fixation.

Claims (7)

1. Display stand for displaying products for sale of elongated flexible products, such as chains, cords, wire or the like, and comprising horizontal parallel spindles (41) regularly spaced and rendered integral with a vertical wall (1), characterised in that said spindles are rendered integral with a vertical wall (1) so as to form with the latter an angle of between 60° and 70°, and in that each of the spindles can carry a cable drum (42) supported by a flange (5) able to be rendered integral with said spindle (41) and also with said cable drum (42) so as to enable it to drive in rotation by means of a handle (54) moved out of centre and secured to on said flange.

Display stand according to claim 1, characterised in that a spindle (41) comprises close to its free extremity (46) a peripheral throat (47) whose width is significantly larger than the thickness of the flange (5), whereas said flange (5) comprises firstly an orifice (50) moved slightly out of centre and having a diameter slightly larger than that of said spindle (41), and secondly peripherally on its internal face, positioned diametrically opposite with respect to the centre of said orifice (50), a jumper link (51) provided with a threaded hole (52) into which the screw (53) of the handle (54) is screwed through another threaded hole (57) fitted on the periphery of the flange(5), and in that the cheek (44) of the cable drum peripherally comprises a shoulder (48) orientated outwardly, the extremity of said screw (53) being intended to come into support against the external face (49) of the cheek (44) under said shoulder (48), the jumper link (51) spanning the cheek (44) of the cable drum (42) when the flange (5) is threaded via its orifice (50) onto the spindle (41) until it is engaged in the throat (47) of said spindle (41).
3. Display stand according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the spindles (41) of a given column are slightly obliquely out-of-line.
4. Display stand according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the set of the spindles (41) is surmounted by a desk (3) comprising an inclined plane (30) on which information labels (31) are placed concerning the products (45) wound onto the cable drums (42).
5. Display stand according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it comprises at its upper portion a panel (10) on which product cards (2) are hooked and subsequently able to be separated and corresponding to each of the products (45) displayed.
6. Display stand according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that the desk (3) comprises a graduated ruler (34) on its frontal edge.
7. Display stand according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the labels (55) glued to the flanges (5) each comprise a gauge (56) able to approximately assess the amount of product (55) left wound on the cable drum (42).
