Abstract
<IMAGE> <IMAGE>One of several methods for releasably connecting a rifle scope to a weapon is in the case of the so-called "pivot mount" rifle scope holder, which is locked by means of a clamping wedge held in the locked position by spring force. A blow or, in particular, the force components that occur in weapons with a strong recoil, means that the spring force is overcome and the breech opens unintentionally. The use of several or reinforced springs on the one hand caused the lock to become unreasonably stiff, but on the other hand it did not achieve the desired success. The invention solves the problem in that the spring jaw (spring 6) merely adjusts the clamping jaw (3) and prevents the pivot pin (4) from rotating automatically. An automatic unwanted lifting, equivalent to unlocking the clamping jaw (3), is not possible because the contact surface of the pivot pin (4) lies against the mirror-inverting contact surface (7) of the clamping jaw (3) and cannot deviate. The invention is part of rifle scope mounts for hunting and sporting weapons in order to be able to remove and mount riflescopes with the greatest repeatability. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
Description
The rifle scope holder with a ring-shaped or prism-shaped receptacle for a rifle scope is known for releasably or non-releasably attaching a riflescope to a rifle.
One of several known types of attachment of the detachable rifle scope mounts is the clamping of one or two parts of the rifle scope mount by means of a clamping jaw against the side of one or two rails, preferably with a prism-shaped recess (10), which is integrated into one side or double sides of the top of the rifle or subsequently attached have been. In the so-called floating mount, the rifle scope holder with the rifle scope is moved around a pivot point until, in the case of a two-part version with the so-called rear foot, in the case of a one-piece version, it rests on the location of the locking device at the second fastening point provided for locking, at which it is locked. The rear foot of the two-part design can consist of one piece or be composed of several, preferably two parts. The figure shows the housing (1) of the rear foot of the two-part design, which is identical in construction features relating to the invention with the one-piece design.
Das Öffnen geschieht durch Anheben des Griffs (5).In a known type of swivel mounting, the contact side is e.g. prism-shaped. To mount and dismount the riflescope, it is necessary to close or release the side opposite the contact surface (2), which happens in the described construction through the clamping jaws (3). It is opened by lifting the handle (5).
Since the clamping jaws in previous versions, for example, page 44 in their own catalog under the name " EAW-PIVOT-Montage 2000" and patent application p. 4133932.0 from October 14th, 1991 by Mr. Georg Recknagel, Schweinfurt, is held in its closed position by spring force, an unintentional opening or loosening of the lock could not be completely ruled out.
This disadvantage is eliminated by the features listed in the patent claims in that the pivot pin (4) in the closed position has a mechanical positive locking of the jaw (3), the existing torsion spring (6) preventing rotation of the pivot bolt lock, equivalent to opening of the jaw (3), due to external forces such as recoil or the like.
When swiveling in the riflescope, the locking lever (5) has to be raised, which brings the clamping jaws (3) into the open position. After the rear foot or the locking device has been placed at the locking point, the locking lever (5) must be moved downwards, as a result of which the clamping jaws (3) are brought into the locking position. The pivot pin (4), which is provided with an eccentrically or concentrically designed contact surface, fits into the mirrored contact surface (7) in the rotatably mounted clamping jaws (3) and locks it. A torsion spring (6) holds the pivot pin (4) in the locked position. It is only possible to open the closure again when the clamping jaws (3) are released by rotating the locking bolt (4) so that it can move about the pivot point (9).
The advantage of this invention is that the breech cannot open automatically and thus serves general safety, accuracy and improves the reliability of the entire scope holder.
