- a composite stone or a composite panel as a covering for walkways and.
- the concrete element having a trough-shaped depression on its upper side with a circumferential edge and the plate-shaped natural stone element having a central projecting section on its underside , which engages in the trough-shaped depression and essentially fills it, a circumferential, upwardly offset edge section resting on the circumferential edge of the concrete element.
- Such a composite stone or composite panel is known from DE-A- 42 44 333.
- the known composite stone or the known composite panel is characterized by the fact that a real interlocking takes place between the concrete portion and the natural stone portion, since the natural stone portion engages with the central projecting portion in the trough-shaped recess of the concrete element, so that in this way a particularly good horizontal thrust protection is achieved.
- the trough-shaped depression automatically centers the plate-shaped natural stone element when it is applied to the concrete element.
- the trough-shaped recess serves to receive the applied adhesive, the amount of which need not be particularly precise. When the natural stone element is applied, the adhesive is pressed out laterally from the trough-shaped recess and also covers the circumferential edge of the concrete element, so that a corresponding adhesive connection between the concrete and natural stone is also produced at this point.
- the upwardly projecting edge or the corresponding upstand of the concrete element or concrete base thus prevents the natural stone element from shearing off relative to the concrete element when correspondingly high horizontal forces occur. Since the edge runs over the concrete element, appropriate protection against forces from all directions is achieved. The processing of the natural stone element required to achieve such a toothing is not very complex, since only the edge region has to be milled out.
- the invention has for its object to provide a composite stone or a composite plate of the type specified, in which or a particularly precise connection between the concrete portion and natural stone portion with particularly good adhesive strength.
- the depression provided according to the invention has the task of absorbing excess adhesive. In this way, more adhesive can be applied in a targeted manner than is normally required. This avoids the risk of inadequate application of adhesive. The fact that the excess adhesive penetrates into the recess and fills it out further prevents the accumulation of flat or punctual adhesive, which ultimately leads to an inclined position of the natural stone element with respect to the concrete element.
- the adhesive applied in the trough-shaped recess of the concrete element can therefore be evenly distributed in the trough-shaped recess due to the pressure applied when the natural stone element is placed on it, and the excess adhesive enters the recess. According to the invention, a displacement space for the adhesive is thus created, which also makes it possible to work with higher tolerances in the natural stone element or concrete element, since the corresponding recess acts in this regard as a compensation space for the adhesive.
- the notch effect which is present when an edge is formed between the bottom wall and the side wall of the trough-shaped depression is further reduced.
- the side wall of the trough-shaped depression preferably merges continuously into the depression, so that there is no abrupt change of direction, which has a corresponding notch effect. This reduces the risk of breakage.
- the applied adhesive when the natural stone element is applied, the applied adhesive can be compacted in a targeted manner in the central region of the element, as a result of which the adhesive spreads outwards and ultimately into the displacement space formed by the recess. From there, the adhesive can reach the edge area of the concrete element.
- the adhesive can only be applied in the trough-shaped recess of the concrete element and not on the edge region of the concrete element.
- the application of pressure and vibrations during the production also displaces the adhesive into the area of the side wall of the trough-shaped depression and into the area of the edge area of the concrete element.
- An alternative provides that an adhesive is applied both in the trough-shaped depression and on the edge area of the concrete element. This can be the same adhesive or different adhesives.
- Another edge is preferably used Adhesive as applied in the trough-shaped recess, this other adhesive having an aggregate with a smaller grain diameter.
- a mortar paste is preferably used, in which the additive is a flour (quartz flour).
- the adhesive layer has a thickness of 3-4 mm in the region of the trough-shaped depression, while it is only 1-2 mm thick in the edge region.
- a mortar-based one is preferably used as the adhesive, which can also be pure cement mortar.
- adhesive mortars based on cement-synthetic resin are preferably used, and in particular so-called ECC mortars, as described, for example, in DE-A-42 11 799.
- the largest grain of the mortar is preferably kept below 1 mm, so that the desired effect described above can be achieved.
- this restriction is not absolutely necessary if a separate adhesive with a smaller aggregate grain diameter is used for the edge region, for example the aforementioned mortar paste, which can also be a pure cement mortar.
- adhesives based on cement-synthetic resin (ECC mortar) are preferably also used for this purpose, a substance being used as the additive (filler) whose grain size is in the flour range, for example quartz powder.
- the natural stone element can be applied to both freshly poured concrete element as well as on an already solidified concrete element.
- the concrete element is poured in such a way that it has the trough-shaped depression with the depression.
- the concrete element is allowed to solidify over a different period of time.
- the natural stone element is produced by milling its edge area on the underside.
- the adhesive is introduced into the trough-shaped recess of the concrete element.
- this can be a suitable ECC adhesive mortar which is introduced into the trough-shaped depression in the form of four cakes.
- a corresponding mortar paste in the form of a bead is applied to the raised edge area of the concrete element.
- the natural stone slab is then placed on the concrete element and pressed against it with the application of vibrations (shaking). The jar is shaken and pressed until no more mortar paste emerges from the side gap.
- the trough-shaped depression on the concrete element together with the depression is produced by pressing a suitable stamp into the fresh concrete.
- the recess can have an approximately U-shaped cross section.
- the recess has upwardly diverging side walls, preferably passing continuously into the bottom wall of the trough-shaped depression and forming an extension of the side wall of the trough-shaped depression, which in this embodiment is inclined upwards outwards. This results in particularly low notch effects.
- the circumferential edge of the concrete element has a circumferential recess filled with adhesive.
- This recess is a further receiving or displacement space for the adhesive, on the circumferential edge of the concrete element.
- This recess serves to receive the adhesive present on the peripheral edge, which, as mentioned above, is preferably a pasty adhesive, preferably a pasty adhesive mortar.
- This depression fulfills a function similar to that of the depression in the trough-shaped depression. In addition, it has a corresponding sealing function to prevent the lateral penetration of moisture between the concrete element and natural stone element.
- the circumferential recess of the edge is preferably designed in the same way as the circumferential recess of the trough-shaped recess, ie preferably U-shaped with diverging side walls, whereby smooth transitions with the top of the edge are also preferably provided and no sharp edges remain.
- the depression is expediently arranged in the middle of the edge and runs around the entire edge. With a width of the edge of 10 mm, its width is, for example, 5 mm.
- the underside of the natural stone portion can be provided in a known manner with depressions (grooves) into which the adhesive penetrates and which fills the adhesive.
- depressions are known from DE -A- 42 11 799.
- the invention relates to the arrangement of an indentation of any design in the region of the trough-shaped recess of the concrete element, this indentation preferably being designed as a groove running in the bottom wall edge region of the trough-shaped recess parallel to the boundary edges of the composite stone or the composite plate.
- this particularly preferred embodiment does not rule out that the recess can also be designed differently. It is essential that it forms a displacement space or a reservoir for the adhesive in order to be able to apply more adhesive in a targeted manner in this way, as stated above.
- Another preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the recess is arranged in the central region of the bottom wall of the trough-shaped recess.
- This embodiment has the advantage that the recess is arranged particularly far from the edge of the composite stone or the composite plate, so that the penetration of moisture into the recess is particularly difficult. It is also important here that the adhesive introduced into the trough-shaped depression has as good an access as possible to the depression, so that the desired effect comes into play.
- the depression in the central region of the bottom wall preferably has the shape a cross, which has the advantage that the adhesive applied, for example, in four piles contacts the recess over as large a circumferential area as possible, so that excess adhesive can easily get into the recess under pressure and vibrations.
- the legs of the cross are preferably formed parallel to the boundary edges of the composite stone or the composite panel.
- the recess can also be circular, rectangular or other, for example. It is understood that the shapes shown above relate to the top view.
- This type of depression can also have the cross-sectional shapes described above.
- the composite stone 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 consists of a lower concrete element 2 and an upper natural stone element 3, between which there is an adhesive layer connecting the two elements.
- the adhesive layer is composed of a middle adhesive mortar layer 9 based on cement synthetic resin (ECC mortar) and a side adhesive mortar paste layer 10 based on cement synthetic resin (ECC mortar).
- the latter layer 10 differs from the former layer 9 in that it has a finer aggregate, namely quartz powder.
- the concrete element 2 has a trough-shaped depression 5 on its upper side, which is delimited by an edge 4 running around the four sides of the element.
- the side surface 6 of the trough-shaped depression is inclined upwards and outwards, while the bottom surface 7 of the trough-shaped depression is flat and extends parallel to the underside of the concrete element.
- In the bottom wall edge region of the trough-shaped recess 5 there is a circumferential recess 8 filled with adhesive, which is approximately U-shaped and whose inner side surface is inclined upwards and towards the center of the concrete element and in a rounded manner into the bottom wall 7 of the trough-shaped recess transforms.
- the outer boundary surface of the recess 8 forms an extension of the oblique side surface 6 of the trough-shaped recess.
- the circumferential recess 8 a displacement or receiving space for the adhesive.
- the dimensions of the natural stone element 3 which consists for example of granite, are adapted to the concrete element. It has on its underside a central projecting section which is essentially matched to the trough-shaped depression of the concrete element and which has obliquely downward and inward side surfaces. Outside of these side surfaces there is a circumferential recess in the form of a step that comes to rest on the edge 4 of the concrete element.
- FIG. 2 shows the formation of the recess 8 on an enlarged scale. It can be seen that the recess is filled with the ECC adhesive mortar 9, this adhesive mortar also filling the gap between the side surface 6 of the trough-shaped depression and the corresponding side surface of the natural stone element. The gap between the top of the edge 4 of the concrete element and the corresponding surface of the natural stone element is filled by the ECC paste 10.
- FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of a composite stone designed according to the invention, only the features which differ from the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2 being described below.
- a circumferential recess 11 is provided on the top of the edge 4 of the concrete element, which essentially corresponds to the recess 8 and forms a receiving space for the mortar paste 10 and at the same time acts as a seal against the lateral penetration of moisture.
- the recess 11 is provided in the center in the edge region, likewise has an approximately U-shape and is continuous (curved) with its boundary walls. into the top of the edge. This minimizes the notch effects.
- the concrete element 2 also has on its upper side a trough-shaped depression 5 which has a bottom wall 7 and side walls 6 which extend obliquely upwards and radially outwards.
- the trough-shaped recess 5 is surrounded by an edge 4, which, as in the embodiment of FIG. 3, has a circumferential recess 11 on its upper side, which is filled with a mortar paste.
- the recess 8 provided in the trough-shaped recess 5 is in the form of a cross, the legs of which extend parallel to the boundary edges of the composite stone.
- the center of the cross lies exactly in the center of the trough-shaped depression.
- the cross-shaped recess 8, which is also U-shaped in cross-section, thus divides the composite stone in the plan view into four areas, to each of which an adhesive heap 13 is applied, which is distributed by pressing and vibrations after the application of the natural stone element, excess adhesive comes into the cross-shaped recess 8, so that the same effect arises as described above in connection with the other embodiments.
- the legs of the cross extend from the middle to about half between the center and the edge of the trough-shaped depression.
Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a composite stone or a composite panel as a covering for walkways and. Like. With an upper plate-shaped natural stone element with low absorbency, in particular granite, and a lower reinforcing concrete element connected to it by means of an adhesive, the concrete element having a trough-shaped depression on its upper side with a circumferential edge and the plate-shaped natural stone element having a central projecting section on its underside , which engages in the trough-shaped depression and essentially fills it, a circumferential, upwardly offset edge section resting on the circumferential edge of the concrete element.
Such a composite stone or composite panel is known from DE-A- 42 44 333. The known composite stone or the known composite panel is characterized by the fact that a real interlocking takes place between the concrete portion and the natural stone portion, since the natural stone portion engages with the central projecting portion in the trough-shaped recess of the concrete element, so that in this way a particularly good horizontal thrust protection is achieved. Furthermore, the trough-shaped depression automatically centers the plate-shaped natural stone element when it is applied to the concrete element. Another advantage is that the trough-shaped recess serves to receive the applied adhesive, the amount of which need not be particularly precise. When the natural stone element is applied, the adhesive is pressed out laterally from the trough-shaped recess and also covers the circumferential edge of the concrete element, so that a corresponding adhesive connection between the concrete and natural stone is also produced at this point.
The upwardly projecting edge or the corresponding upstand of the concrete element or concrete base thus prevents the natural stone element from shearing off relative to the concrete element when correspondingly high horizontal forces occur. Since the edge runs over the concrete element, appropriate protection against forces from all directions is achieved. The processing of the natural stone element required to achieve such a toothing is not very complex, since only the edge region has to be milled out.
In practice, it has been found that problems can arise with a composite stone or a corresponding composite panel designed in this way that the dosage of the adhesive that creates the connection between the concrete component and the natural stone component is not carried out precisely or due to inaccuracies in the production of the natural stone component or The proportion of concrete appears imprecise. This can lead to insufficient adhesive being applied, so that the adhesive bond between the concrete portion and the natural stone portion becomes insufficient. However, too much adhesive can also be applied, which in the end is a problem imprecise position of the natural stone portion relative to the concrete portion, ie tilting it.
The invention has for its object to provide a composite stone or a composite plate of the type specified, in which or a particularly precise connection between the concrete portion and natural stone portion with particularly good adhesive strength.
This object is achieved according to the invention in the case of a composite stone or a composite panel of the type mentioned at the outset in that the trough-shaped depression of the concrete element has a depression filled with adhesive.
The depression provided according to the invention has the task of absorbing excess adhesive.
The adhesive applied in the trough-shaped recess of the concrete element can therefore be evenly distributed in the trough-shaped recess due to the pressure applied when the natural stone element is placed on it, and the excess adhesive enters the recess. According to the invention, a displacement space for the adhesive is thus created, which also makes it possible to work with higher tolerances in the natural stone element or concrete element, since the corresponding recess acts in this regard as a compensation space for the adhesive.
If the recess is arranged in the bottom wall edge region of the trough-shaped depression, the notch effect which is present when an edge is formed between the bottom wall and the side wall of the trough-shaped depression is further reduced. In the solution according to the invention, the side wall of the trough-shaped depression preferably merges continuously into the depression, so that there is no abrupt change of direction, which has a corresponding notch effect. This reduces the risk of breakage.
In the solution according to the invention, when the natural stone element is applied, the applied adhesive can be compacted in a targeted manner in the central region of the element, as a result of which the adhesive spreads outwards and ultimately into the displacement space formed by the recess. From there, the adhesive can reach the edge area of the concrete element.
In the production of the composite stone according to the invention or the composite plate according to the invention, the adhesive can only be applied in the trough-shaped recess of the concrete element and not on the edge region of the concrete element. In this case, the application of pressure and vibrations during the production also displaces the adhesive into the area of the side wall of the trough-shaped depression and into the area of the edge area of the concrete element. An alternative provides that an adhesive is applied both in the trough-shaped depression and on the edge area of the concrete element. This can be the same adhesive or different adhesives. Another edge is preferably used Adhesive as applied in the trough-shaped recess, this other adhesive having an aggregate with a smaller grain diameter. For this purpose, a mortar paste is preferably used, in which the additive is a flour (quartz flour).
It is therefore preferable to provide an adhesive layer on the edge region of the concrete element, the thickness of which is less than the adhesive layer in the trough-shaped depression. For example, the adhesive layer has a thickness of 3-4 mm in the region of the trough-shaped depression, while it is only 1-2 mm thick in the edge region.
A mortar-based one is preferably used as the adhesive, which can also be pure cement mortar. However, adhesive mortars based on cement-synthetic resin are preferably used, and in particular so-called ECC mortars, as described, for example, in DE-A-42 11 799. In order to prevent aggregate grains from sticking to the raised edge area, the largest grain of the mortar is preferably kept below 1 mm, so that the desired effect described above can be achieved. However, this restriction is not absolutely necessary if a separate adhesive with a smaller aggregate grain diameter is used for the edge region, for example the aforementioned mortar paste, which can also be a pure cement mortar. However, adhesives based on cement-synthetic resin (ECC mortar) are preferably also used for this purpose, a substance being used as the additive (filler) whose grain size is in the flour range, for example quartz powder.
In the case of the composite stone or composite plate designed according to the invention, the natural stone element can be applied to both freshly poured concrete element as well as on an already solidified concrete element.
In the manufacturing process, the concrete element is poured in such a way that it has the trough-shaped depression with the depression. Depending on the desired manufacturing method, the concrete element is allowed to solidify over a different period of time. The natural stone element is produced by milling its edge area on the underside. If the natural stone element is to be applied, the adhesive is introduced into the trough-shaped recess of the concrete element. For example, this can be a suitable ECC adhesive mortar which is introduced into the trough-shaped depression in the form of four cakes. A corresponding mortar paste in the form of a bead is applied to the raised edge area of the concrete element. The natural stone slab is then placed on the concrete element and pressed against it with the application of vibrations (shaking). The jar is shaken and pressed until no more mortar paste emerges from the side gap.
When working with fresh concrete, this process takes place within a suitable form. In the case of already solidified concrete, such a shape is not absolutely necessary, but a corresponding locking of the concrete element.
The trough-shaped depression on the concrete element together with the depression is produced by pressing a suitable stamp into the fresh concrete.
Hierdurch entstehen besonders geringe Kerbwirkungseffekte. As far as the formation of the depression serving as a displacement space or reservoir for the adhesive is concerned, it is preferably designed in such a way that there are no sharp ones Transitions to the side wall and bottom wall of the trough-shaped recess result. For example, the recess can have an approximately U-shaped cross section. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the recess has upwardly diverging side walls, preferably passing continuously into the bottom wall of the trough-shaped depression and forming an extension of the side wall of the trough-shaped depression, which in this embodiment is inclined upwards outwards. This results in particularly low notch effects.
In a further development of the invention, the circumferential edge of the concrete element has a circumferential recess filled with adhesive. This recess is a further receiving or displacement space for the adhesive, on the circumferential edge of the concrete element. This recess serves to receive the adhesive present on the peripheral edge, which, as mentioned above, is preferably a pasty adhesive, preferably a pasty adhesive mortar. This depression fulfills a function similar to that of the depression in the trough-shaped depression. In addition, it has a corresponding sealing function to prevent the lateral penetration of moisture between the concrete element and natural stone element.
The circumferential recess of the edge is preferably designed in the same way as the circumferential recess of the trough-shaped recess, ie preferably U-shaped with diverging side walls, whereby smooth transitions with the top of the edge are also preferably provided and no sharp edges remain. The depression is expediently arranged in the middle of the edge and runs around the entire edge. With a width of the edge of 10 mm, its width is, for example, 5 mm.
It corresponds approximately to a semicircle in cross-section and has curved transitions to the edge surface.
In order to improve the interlocking effect between the natural stone portion and the concrete portion, the underside of the natural stone portion can be provided in a known manner with depressions (grooves) into which the adhesive penetrates and which fills the adhesive. Such depressions are known from DE -A- 42 11 799.
Generally speaking, the invention relates to the arrangement of an indentation of any design in the region of the trough-shaped recess of the concrete element, this indentation preferably being designed as a groove running in the bottom wall edge region of the trough-shaped recess parallel to the boundary edges of the composite stone or the composite plate. However, this particularly preferred embodiment does not rule out that the recess can also be designed differently. It is essential that it forms a displacement space or a reservoir for the adhesive in order to be able to apply more adhesive in a targeted manner in this way, as stated above.
Another preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the recess is arranged in the central region of the bottom wall of the trough-shaped recess. This embodiment has the advantage that the recess is arranged particularly far from the edge of the composite stone or the composite plate, so that the penetration of moisture into the recess is particularly difficult. It is also important here that the adhesive introduced into the trough-shaped depression has as good an access as possible to the depression, so that the desired effect comes into play. The depression in the central region of the bottom wall preferably has the shape a cross, which has the advantage that the adhesive applied, for example, in four piles contacts the recess over as large a circumferential area as possible, so that excess adhesive can easily get into the recess under pressure and vibrations. The legs of the cross are preferably formed parallel to the boundary edges of the composite stone or the composite panel.
However, it is not excluded that the recess can also be circular, rectangular or other, for example. It is understood that the shapes shown above relate to the top view.
This type of depression can also have the cross-sectional shapes described above.

The
The
The dimensions of the

Figure 2 shows the formation of the
Die Kerbwirkungseffekte werden hierdurch minimiert.FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of a composite stone designed according to the invention, only the features which differ from the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2 being described below. In the embodiment of a composite stone shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, only the lower
In this embodiment, the
