  • sleeve 33 To grip the reel 46, sleeve 33 will first be fixed at the desired position along the length of the shaft 25. The sleeve 34 will then be moved towards the sleeve 33 so as to sandwich the reel 46 between the two discs 42 and 43. The sleeve 34 is then fixed in position. During such movement of the sleeve 34, the cam levers 40 and 41 will be in their retracted positions. The gripping force exerted on the reel 46 is then increased by appropriate pivotal movement of the two cam levers 40 and 41.

  • the discs 53 and 54 will be positioned on the shaft 50, one on each side of the reel, and will serve to prevent the flanges of the reel from snagging against the walls 14 and 15 of the stand 10.

  • Stand 10A supports a large reel 55 from which cable is to be withdrawn, reel 55 being supported on the stand 10A using the shaft 50 as shown in Figure 5.
  • Stand 10B supports a smaller reel 56 to which cable is to be transferred.
  • Reel 56 is supported on a shaft 25 using discs 42 and 43 as shown in Figure 4 and the shaft 50 is rotated using a handle 28 as described above.
  • the cable passing from reel 55 to reel 56 goes through a measuring device 57 which records the length of cable wound on to the reel 56.
  • Figure 7 shows the use of a stand 10C which supports two simple shafts 57 on each of which a plurality of cable reels 58 are mounted.

  • the stand 10C has trapezoidal walls (as shown) and can be folded down to form a flat-pack as described above. As illustrated in Figure 2, the two shafts will be disposed on the base 11 of the stand, together with a handle 28, a pair of sleeves 33 and 34 and a pair of discs 42 and 43. Abstract

Les disques (42 et 43) peuvent porter des coussinets de friction en forme de dômes (44 et 45) qui ont un effet de centrage sur la bobine (26) avec laquelle ils s'engagent.

Claims (8)

  1. Support comprenant :
    a) une base (11),
    b) une paire de parois (14 et 15) qui sont reliées en articulation à la base (11) de façon à être mobiles par rapport à cette dernière entre des positions de travail dans lesquelles elles s'étendent essentiellement à angle droit par rapport à la base (11) et des positions de transport dans lesquelles elles sont repliées essentiellement à plat avec la base (11),
    c) des moyens amovibles (17) pour supporter les parois (14 et 15) dans leurs positions de travail,
    d) chacune desdites parois (14 et 15) englobant plusieurs structures de montage espacées (22, 23 et 24), et
    e) plusieurs arbres (25) aptes à venir s'insérer dans les structures de montage (22, 23 et 24) des parois (14 et 15) lorsque les parois (14 et 15) se trouvent dans leurs positions de travail de telle sorte que les arbres (25) s'étendent essentiellement parallèlement à la base (11), mais sont espacés sur des distances différentes par rapport à la base (11).
  2. Support selon la revendication 1, qui englobe une poignée (28) pour faire tourner au moins un des arbres (25), ainsi que des moyens d'insertion (42, 43) destinée à venir s'insérer dans une bobine de câble (26) pour monter la bobine de câble (26) sur un des arbres (25) à des fins de rotation avec l'arbre (25) de telle sorte que le mouvement rotatif de la poignée (28) sert à faire tourner la bobine (26).
  3. Support selon la revendication 2, dans lequel la base (11) et les parois (14 et 15) du support, lorsque les parois (14 et 15) se trouvent dans leurs positions de transport, définissent ensemble un conditionnement qui peut contenir les arbres (25), la poignée (28) et les moyens d'insertion (42, 43).
  4. Support selon la revendication 1, dans lequel les parois (14 et 15) sont de configuration trapézoïdale et, lorsqu'elles se trouvent dans leurs positions de travail, possèdent des bords supérieurs (21) qui sont inclinés par rapport à l'horizontale, les structures de montage (22, 23 et 24) pour les arbres (25) étant munies de découpes pratiquées dans leurs bords supérieurs (21).
  5. Support selon la revendication 1, dans lequel la base (11) est de forme rectangulaire dans une vue en plan, les parois (14 et 15) étant situées sur les petits côtés du rectangle, et une ouverture (29) étant pratiquée dans la base (11) en position adjacente à un des grands côtés du rectangle, ladite ouverture (29) servant de trou pour la main pour faciliter le transport du support lorsque les parois (14 et 15) se trouvent dans leurs positions de transport dans laquelle elles sont repliées à plat.
  6. Support selon la revendication 2, dans lequel les moyens d'insertion destinés à venir s'insérer dans la bobine de câble (26) comprennent une paire de disques (42 et 43) qui sont montés sur l'arbre (25), un de chaque côté de la bobine (26), lesdits disques (42 et 43) étant à même de coulisser par rapport à l'arbre (25), mais étant disposés en antirotation par rapport à ce dernier, et des moyens de cames (40 et 41) à commande manuelle étant prévus pour déplacer les disques (42 et 43) dans une position de fixation par insertion dans la bobine (26).
  7. Support selon la revendication 6, dans lequel chacun des disques (42, 43) est muni d'un tampon de friction (44, 45) en forme de dôme qui vient s'insérer dans la bobine (26) de telle sorte que l'on obtient simultanément une action de fixation et de centrage.
  8. Support selon la revendication 6, dans lequel on prévoit des vis (35, 38, 39) pour empêcher le mouvement longitudinal des disques (42, 43) sur l'arbre (25) une fois qu'ils ont été déplacés en position de fixation par insertion dans la bobine (26).
