Fig. 1 zeigt eine Druckeinheit einer Offset-Rotationsdruckmaschine mit den Druckwerken 1 und 2. Jedes Druckwerk 1, 2 enthält einen Formzylinder 3, 4 und einen Übertragungszylinder 5, 6. Am Formzylinder 3 sind Wälzelemente in Form von ersten und zweiten Rollen 7, 8 angeordnet (Fig. 2), und zwar sind die ersten und zweiten Rollen 7, 8 jeweils im Wechsel nebeneinander angeordnet. Außerdem wird durch den mit großen Radien gerundeten Walzenschutz 15 verhindert, daß sich das nachlaufende Ende der Druckplatte 25 verhakt. Beim Aufziehen der Druckplatte 25 stehen die Rollen 7 mit dem Formzylinder 3 in Rollkontakt und drücken die Druckplatte 25 an den Formzylinder 3 an. Die geöffnete Öffnungsklappe 17 dient dabei als Einlaufschutz für den Einlaufspalt 28 zwischen Formzylinder 3 und Rolle 7.
