Definitions
- the invention relates to a cabinet with at least one drawer element, which can be locked in the inserted closed position, with a locking mechanism arranged on the drawer, which has a latch provided in the rear wall area of the drawer and an actuating mechanism for the latch, and with one in the rear wall area of the drawer bolt lock arranged in the cabinet construction, in which the bolt engages in the closed position of the drawer.
- the drawer cabinets with positive locking are mainly used for cabinets in mobile use, e.g. for workshop trolleys, use. So far, the drawers have been held in the rear wall area by means of a bolt which engages in a bolt lock provided on the cabinet construction. Due to the mobile use, the cabinet is subject to large inertia forces that occur when the car accelerates and brakes. With the previously known cabinets, this sometimes led to the mechanism being broken open and the drawer and its contents being thrown out. In the case of workshop trolleys, the drawers are usually loaded with relatively heavy objects, so that a drawer that detaches while driving can cause great damage to the interior of the workshop trolley and endanger the driver.
- two bolts are used which can be actuated simultaneously by the actuating mechanism. Every bar contains a locking lug that engages in a bolt lock mounted on the cabinet. When the drawer is closed, it is positively locked, ie the locking lugs slide automatically into the bolt locks and thus cause the drawer to be locked when inserted.
- the bolts are preferably designed in the form of toggle levers which are deflected in opposite directions by the actuating mechanism, for example an actuating rod. The first ends of the latches are brought together and connected to the actuating mechanism, while the second ends of the toggle levers have the locking lug.
- the two latches thus result in the geometric shape of a U open towards the rear wall of the drawer, the latching lugs being arranged on the free leg ends, which protrude beyond the rear wall of the drawer and engage in the corresponding latch locks on the rear wall of the cabinet.
- the bolts are preferably biased into their closed position by a spring. They are preferably of identical design, as a result of which the locking mechanism can be produced with a minimal outlay on molding tools.
- the elasticity of the locking mechanism for example through the selection of a suitable elastic or slightly deformable material, can ensure that both bolts of the locking mechanism engage evenly in the bolt locks when subjected to greater loads, so that the load acts equally on both bolts. As a result, small manufacturing tolerances can be eliminated.
- the drawers are preferably provided with the double latch for heavy loads.
- Drawers can also be provided with a single latch for receiving lower loads, which is preferably arranged in the place of one of the two double latches. This means that drawers with one and two-bolt systems can be exchanged for one another.
- one of the latches of the double latch system according to the invention is arranged at the same location as the latch of a previously known latch system, ie the location, the direction of movement and the shape of the latch are identical, then the drawers can already be compatible with the two latch system reach existing systems. This is particularly advantageous if, in addition to the new double locking systems, the conventional locking systems are used.
- each latch or both latches are attached to the drawer by means of a latch plate.
- the locking plate can be produced as a stamped sheet metal part which has a raised edge which penetrates a corresponding perforation of the locking bar and thus forms the pivot bearing of the locking bar. In this case, no separate, more complex pin slide bearing needs to be provided for the bolt.
- the locking plate has at its end facing the drawer rear wall an edge running parallel to this, against which a shoulder of the locking bar rests in the closed position.
- the load on the bolt lies not only on the raised bearing edge of the locking plate, but also on the edge that is bent up parallel to the rear wall of the drawer, against which the shoulder of the bolt lies in the closed position.
- the shoulder defines a wider or thicker portion of the bolt within the drawer against a narrower or thinner portion of the bolt that projects through the back wall toward the bolt lock.
- the shoulder does not necessarily have to lie against a raised edge of the locking plate, but can also lie directly against the rear wall of the drawer.
- the raised bearing edge of the locking plate has a through hole or groove which is penetrated by a bar or leaf spring after the locking bar has been placed on the locking plate.
- the leaf spring is adjacent to this groove or perforation on two abutments, which are provided on the one hand on the locking plate and on the other on the bolt. This bar or leaf spring prestresses the bolt into its closed position and at the same time on the bolt gel plate fixed. In this way, the locking mechanism can be implemented with a minimal number of shares.
- the bolt locks of the cabinet are preferably provided as vertical U-profiles, which are arranged behind the rear wall of the drawer and are firmly connected to the rear wall or a corresponding supporting structure of the cabinet.
- the side legs of the U-profiles are perforated and these perforations are penetrated by the latches of the bolts.
- a bolt lock of this type is very stable, since it can be used with both legs e.g. can be firmly connected to the cabinet construction by spot welding or welding.
- the actuating mechanism for the latches is preferably formed by an axially movable rod, the bent or bent rear end of which engages in perforations at the first end of both latches, whereas the front end of the actuating rod is guided to the drawer front and there is an actuating surface, e.g. has a push button.
- the locking mechanism 10 shown is attached under the base plate 12 of a drawer.
- the locking mechanism 10 comprises an actuating rod 14 which is guided by means of guide parts 16 on the underside 12 of the drawer.
- the rear end of the actuating rod 14 is bent or bent in the direction of the drawer bottom 12 and engages in a perforation 18, which at the first ends of two bars 20 are arranged.
- the latches are designed in the manner of an L-shaped toggle lever and are held on the drawer base 12 by means of latch plates 22, 24.
- the locking plates 22, 24 are stamped sheet metal parts which are connected to the drawer bottom by any conventional connection technique, such as welding, spot welding, deforming, etc.
- Both bars 20 are of identical design and have a perforation 26 in the area of their knee, which is penetrated by a raised bearing edge 28 of the locking plates 22, 24. Bearing edge 28 and perforation 26 form the pivot bearing of the latch 20 on the latch plates 22, 24.
- both latches are cranked, so that their ends lie approximately parallel one above the other, as a result of which the perforations 18 arranged there for fastening the Actuating rod 14 are arranged concentrically.
- Holes 30 are punched out in the area of the cranking of the bolts, which serve as abutments for springs 32, which perforate the bearing edges 28 and are supported on second abutments 34 of the bolt plates.
- latching lugs 36 are arranged which engage in latch locks 38 which are designed as U-profiles and are connected to the cabinet rear wall 40.
- the U-profiles 38 have perforations in their lateral legs, into which the locking lugs 36 engage in the locking position shown in the latch.
- the locking plates also have an edge 44 which runs parallel to the rear wall 42 of the drawer, ie which is bent up by the locking plate 22, 24, against which a shoulder 46 of the locking bar 20 rests in the closed position shown.
- the shoulder 46 represents the transition between a wider bolt part located inside the drawer and a narrower bolt part protruding outward through the rear wall 42. In the closed position shown, the drawer is thus supported by a load pulling the drawer outwards by the loads in the bolt locks 28 located latches 36 of the bolt located in the bolt locks 28 locking lugs 36 of the bolt 20 and by the shoulders 46 supported on the edges 46 of the bolt 20 and the raised bearing edges 28.
- the shoulders 46 of the bolt 20 can also be supported directly on the rear wall, but this is due to the tolerances in Installation of the locking plate in the drawer is less favorable.
- the entire train on the locking mechanism 10 is thus not only intercepted by the pivot bearing 26, 28 of the bolt 20, but also by the shoulders 46 of the bolt 20.
- This construction is therefore in particular able to secure heavily filled drawers in mobile cabinets, that is to say for example in vehicles, against sliding out. This is particularly important if the drawer is installed with its opening and closing direction in the vehicle direction. Then the inertial forces of the drawer that occur when braking and accelerating the vehicle act directly on the locking mechanism.
- the actuating rod 14 has an actuating surface 50 on its side facing the drawer front 48, through which the forced locking of the drawer can be released.
- Fig. 3 shows very impressively how flat the otherwise very stable and effective positive lock can be constructed.
- the bent edges 44 on which the shoulder 46 of the latch 20 are supported in the closed position can be seen very well in this figure.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cabinet with at least one drawer element, which can be locked in the inserted closed position, with a locking mechanism arranged on the drawer, which has a latch provided in the rear wall area of the drawer and an actuating mechanism for the latch, and with one in the rear wall area of the drawer bolt lock arranged in the cabinet construction, in which the bolt engages in the closed position of the drawer.
With such cabinets, the drawers are positively locked in the inserted position. The drawer cabinets with positive locking are mainly used for cabinets in mobile use, e.g. for workshop trolleys, use.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a cabinet whose drawers cannot be released from their positive locking even under heavy loads, particularly in mobile use.
The object is achieved according to the invention in a cabinet of the type mentioned above by the characterizing features of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
According to the invention, two bolts are used which can be actuated simultaneously by the actuating mechanism. Every bar contains a locking lug that engages in a bolt lock mounted on the cabinet. When the drawer is closed, it is positively locked, ie the locking lugs slide automatically into the bolt locks and thus cause the drawer to be locked when inserted. The bolts are preferably designed in the form of toggle levers which are deflected in opposite directions by the actuating mechanism, for example an actuating rod. The first ends of the latches are brought together and connected to the actuating mechanism, while the second ends of the toggle levers have the locking lug. The two latches thus result in the geometric shape of a U open towards the rear wall of the drawer, the latching lugs being arranged on the free leg ends, which protrude beyond the rear wall of the drawer and engage in the corresponding latch locks on the rear wall of the cabinet. The bolts are preferably biased into their closed position by a spring. They are preferably of identical design, as a result of which the locking mechanism can be produced with a minimal outlay on molding tools. The elasticity of the locking mechanism, for example through the selection of a suitable elastic or slightly deformable material, can ensure that both bolts of the locking mechanism engage evenly in the bolt locks when subjected to greater loads, so that the load acts equally on both bolts. As a result, small manufacturing tolerances can be eliminated.
The drawers are preferably provided with the double latch for heavy loads. Drawers can also be provided with a single latch for receiving lower loads, which is preferably arranged in the place of one of the two double latches. This means that drawers with one and two-bolt systems can be exchanged for one another. If one of the latches of the double latch system according to the invention is arranged at the same location as the latch of a previously known latch system, ie the location, the direction of movement and the shape of the latch are identical, then the drawers can already be compatible with the two latch system reach existing systems. This is particularly advantageous if, in addition to the new double locking systems, the conventional locking systems are used.
In an embodiment of the invention that is inexpensive to produce, each latch or both latches are attached to the drawer by means of a latch plate. The locking plate can be produced as a stamped sheet metal part which has a raised edge which penetrates a corresponding perforation of the locking bar and thus forms the pivot bearing of the locking bar. In this case, no separate, more complex pin slide bearing needs to be provided for the bolt. In order to increase the mechanical stability of the lock in this case, the locking plate has at its end facing the drawer rear wall an edge running parallel to this, against which a shoulder of the locking bar rests in the closed position. In this case, the load on the bolt lies not only on the raised bearing edge of the locking plate, but also on the edge that is bent up parallel to the rear wall of the drawer, against which the shoulder of the bolt lies in the closed position. The shoulder defines a wider or thicker portion of the bolt within the drawer against a narrower or thinner portion of the bolt that projects through the back wall toward the bolt lock. The shoulder does not necessarily have to lie against a raised edge of the locking plate, but can also lie directly against the rear wall of the drawer.
In a constructionally very simple embodiment of the invention, the raised bearing edge of the locking plate has a through hole or groove which is penetrated by a bar or leaf spring after the locking bar has been placed on the locking plate. The leaf spring is adjacent to this groove or perforation on two abutments, which are provided on the one hand on the locking plate and on the other on the bolt. This bar or leaf spring prestresses the bolt into its closed position and at the same time on the bolt gel plate fixed. In this way, the locking mechanism can be implemented with a minimal number of shares.
The bolt locks of the cabinet are preferably provided as vertical U-profiles, which are arranged behind the rear wall of the drawer and are firmly connected to the rear wall or a corresponding supporting structure of the cabinet. The side legs of the U-profiles are perforated and these perforations are penetrated by the latches of the bolts. A bolt lock of this type is very stable, since it can be used with both legs e.g. can be firmly connected to the cabinet construction by spot welding or welding.
The actuating mechanism for the latches is preferably formed by an axially movable rod, the bent or bent rear end of which engages in perforations at the first end of both latches, whereas the front end of the actuating rod is guided to the drawer front and there is an actuating surface, e.g. has a push button.

The
The locking plates also have an
A very good securing of the drawer against tensile forces is achieved by the formation of the shoulder described above, which is supported against part of the drawer or the locking plate and thus absorbs the tensile forces acting on the bolt. This advantage is already achieved when the locking mechanism has only one latch.
