Abstract
The known line connections between the connection points for the series terminals in switching stations are generally stamped out of flat copper strip and possibly further deformed. The novel busbar (1) is prepared from round rod (7) which is considerably cheaper and whose end regions are cold-shaped on both sides to form parallel surfaces. Cross connections (10) suitable for these busbars have at least two U-shaped clamping tongues (20, 21) which, at their free ends, have circular recesses (23, 24) adapted to the diameter of the round rod.

Terminal blocks are created, which is adapted to the new busbar.
From DE 33 12 002 C1 cross connectors for terminal blocks are already known, which consist of a flat material and with at least two pairs of clamping tongues establish an electrical connection between busbars of adjacent terminal blocks. The on a cross bar with each other connected tongue pairs are arranged with their flat plane rotated by 90 ° with respect to the cross bar. When the cross connector is in place, the clamping tongues engage in plug openings in the busbars. A similar design of the cross connector is also shown in DE 36 25 240 A1. The new cross connector is easier to manufacture, by a single punching process without another process. A major advantage over the known cross-connectors can also be seen in the special adaptation to the diameter of the round bar of the busbar. The achievement of the stated object results from the features mentioned in the characterizing part of patent claim 1. Further features of the embodiment of the invention are listed in the subclaims. 4 und des mittleren runden Bereichs 7.The busbar 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is made of a commercially available copper wire with a circular cross section, diameter d (Fig. 2b). The total length of the busbar 1 will essentially depend on the external dimensions of the terminal block width or on the external distances of the tie bars 2a and 2b to be connected (FIG. 3). To produce a busbar according to the invention, a round bar of this length must be cut from the commercially available solid copper wire and pressed at both ends with a length or I 2 (Fig. 2a) in a press by cold forming so that on both sides of the round bar parallel areas 5 and 6 arise in the area of the end sections 3 and 4. The width b (FIG. 2a) of these surfaces of the end sections are correspondingly enlarged in comparison to the diameter d (FIG. 2b) of the round central region 7 of the round rod. The distance s of the parallel surfaces 5 and 6 results from the same cross-sectional areas of the end sections 3 and 4 and the central round region 7.
In Fig. 3 the arrangement of a busbar 1 between two tie bars 2a and 2b of a terminal block is shown; the plastic housing or the insulating body with its fastening foot for arrangement on a mounting rail are not shown. The drawbar 2a is shown in the open state, for. B. for receiving a cable, while the closed tension bracket 2b is shown with tightened clamping screw.
zweiten Schlitz 17 bzw. 18 gebildete Klemmzungen 20 bzw. Aus Isolationsgründen und zur Vermeidung von Fehlverbindungen ist der Kopfbereich 13 des Querverbinders 10 mit einer Isolierkappe 26 geschützt.4a to 4c show an embodiment for a cross connector 10, which allows an electrically conductive connection between the busbars of two adjacent terminal blocks. The perspective view in FIG. 4 a and the top view in FIG. 4 c show that the rectangular cross connector 10 has two clamps 14 and 15 connected to one another in the head region 13 due to a longer first slot 12 arranged in the longitudinal axis. The two brackets consist of two with a shorter one second slot 17 and 18 formed clamping tongues 20 and 21, which have at their free ends arcuate bulges 23 and 24, which are adapted to the diameter of the central region 7 of the busbar 1. As can be seen from Fig. 4b, the flat material of the cross connector 10 has a sufficient thickness so that the locking clamping of the clamps 14 and 15 on the cylindrical middle regions 7 of the busbars ensures a reliable electrical contact. For reasons of insulation and to avoid incorrect connections, the head region 13 of the cross connector 10 is protected with an insulating cap 26.
5a to 5c illustrate how the cross connectors 10 are clamped onto the busbars 1 at a plurality of terminal blocks arranged next to one another. For the sake of clarity, the plastic housings of the terminal blocks are not shown. In the five terminal blocks or bus bars 1, four cross connectors 10 are arranged in two levels and overlapping. It could also be advantageous to use cross connectors with e.g. B. provide four brackets 14 and 15. The illustrated cross connector 10 with two brackets, however, allows cheaper storage.
