Die Erfindung betrifft einen Flachkabelverbinder zum Anschließen der Leiter eines Flachkabels an eine Leiterplatte oder zum Spleißen von zwei Flachkabeln mit einem die Isolation durchstoßenden und zwischen sich einen Schlitz begrenzenden,U-Form aufweisenden Schneidklemmkontakt. Schneidklemmkontakte dieser Art sind bekannt. Sie weisen zwei angespitzte und angeschärfte Schenkel auf, die zwischen sich den Schlitz mit einer Breite von in etwa einer Leiterbreite begrenzen. Zum Konfektionieren eines Flachkabels werden diese Schenkel in die Kabelisolation hineingedrückt. Dabei gelangen ihre Innenseiten mit dem Leiter in mechanische Berührung. Damit entsteht der gewünschte elektrische Kontakt. Mit diesem Schneidklemmkontakt ist ein Kontaktstift oder ist ein Kontaktstiftpaar integral verbunden. Diese Kontaktstifte werden in Bohrungen einer Leiterplatte eingesteckt. Dabei gelangen sie mit den Leiterbahnen in Berührung. Damit entsteht auch hier ein gewünschter elektrischer Kontakt, und die Leiterbahn wird elektrisch mit dem Leiter des Flachkabels verbunden. Ebenso gibt es Flachkabelverbinder, bei denen zwei Schneidklemmkontakte integral miteinander verbunden sind. Aufgabe der Erfindung ist damit eine solche Ausbildung eines Flachkabelverbinders, daß sein mechanischer Halt auf einem Flachkabel auch bei Vibrationen dauerhaft bestehen bleibt. Die Lösung für diese Aufgabe ergibt sich bei einem Flachkabelverbinder der eingangs genannten Gattung mit den im Kennzeichen des Schutzanspruches 1 aufgeführten Merkmalen. Zusätzlich zu dem konventionellen Schneidklemmkontakt weist der Verbinder eine Fahne auf, die nach dem Hineindrücken des Schneidklemmkontaktes in die Isolation auf den Leiter aufgedrückt wird. Dabei ergibt sich, daß der Schneidklemmkontakt von einer Seite, die unten genannt werden kann, in die Isolation hineingestoßen wird^. und die Fahne dann von oben auf den Leiter aufgedrückt wird. Damit umschließt der Flachkabelverbinder das Flachkabel und liegt von beiden Seiten an diesem an. In der Darstellung ist weiter deutlich zu erkennen, daß die Schneidklemmkontakte von unten in das Flachkabel eindringen und die Fahnen von oben auf diesem aufliegen. Unter den in Fig. 5 gezeigten Schneidklemmkontakten liegen integral mit diesen verbunden Buchsenkontakte. Diese wirken mit den in Fig. 6 gezeigten Kontaktstiften zusammen.
