Claims (13)

  1. Display and distribution packaging unit for articles, especially articles such as eggs assembled into sales units, consisting of a separate packaging unit (10) embracing said articles or a unit of regularly arranged articles, said packaging unit (10) at least on the display side or sides facing the customer reproduces a shape typical of that of said article or articles, characterized in that said display packaging unit also comprises a separate display panel (18) adapted to make the final package complete, said panel (18) for this purpose having at least one opening (20), through which a part of the packaging unit embracing at least one of said articles with its display side or part of same at least partly can protrude through and above the outside surface of the display panel (18), and that said display panel (18) in this display position can be connected to said packaging unit (10) embracing said article or articles.
  2. Display and distribution packaging unit according to claim 1, characterized in that said display panel (18) comprises a smaller number of openings (20) than the number of articles embraced by the separate packaging unit (10), through which openings (20) the respective articles with the part of the packaging unit embracing them with the latter's display side or parts thereof at least partly may protrude through and hence above the outside surface of said display panel (18).
  3. Display and distribution packaging unit according to claum 1 or 2, in which the extent of said display panel (18) substantially corresponds to the extent of the base surface of the separate packaging unit (10) embracing said article or articles.
  4. Display and distribution packaging unit according to claim 1 and 2, in which the size of the base surface of said display panel (18) is smaller than the separate packaging unit (10) embracing said article or articles.
  5. Display and distribution packaging unit according to claim 4, in which said display panel (18) is in the form of a wide strip, the width of which is less than a transverse dimension of the separate packaging unit (10) embracing said articles.
  6. Display and distribution packaging unit according to claim 5, in which wide strips are united to form a cross.
  7. Display and distribution packaging unit according to one of the preceding claims, in which the edge of the opening (20) or openings (20) in the display panel (18) is adapted for an adhesive connection to the separate packaging unit (10) embracing said article or articles.
  8. Display and distribution packaging unit according to one of the preceding claims, in which the edge surrounding the opening (20) or openings (20) in the display panel (18) is adapted for an engagement connection with the separate packaging unit (10) embracing said article or articles.
  9. Display and distribution packaging unit according to claim 8, in which the engagement connection consists of at least one pawl (32) protruding into an opening (20) from the edge thereof, as well as a corresponding cutout (34) in the separate packaging unit (10) embracing said article or articles.
  10. Display and distribution packaging unit according to one of the preceding claims, in which the separate packaging unit (10) embracing said articles on the display side facing the customer comprises at least one post (22) protruding upwardly from said display side to form a support for said display panel (18) when placed upon said embracing separate packaging unit (10), as well as a supporting surface (24) for adhesive connection to the adjacent side of the display panel (18).
  11. Display and distribution packaging unit according to one of the preceding claims, in which said display panel (18) comprises holding members (26), e.g. protrusions, protruding transversely to the panel surface, and the separate packaging unit (10) embracing said articles comprises means cooperating with said holding members (26), e.g. in the form of cutouts (28), to form an engagement connection.
  12. Display and distribution packaging unit according to one of the preceding claims, in which said display panel (18) comprises one or a number of outer flanks (36), with which said panel can grasp said separate packaging unit (10) embracing said article or articles externally.
  13. Display and distribution packaging unit according to claim 12, in which each outer flank (36) is adapted to be secured to the separate packaging unit (10) embracing said article or articles adhesively or by engagement.
