This results in a pressure beat which has the effect of detaching the fibers which are plated across the orifices (holes or slots) of the screen and this as well when the screen is in centrifugal operation as centripetal.
  • 1b and 1c a cylindrical rotor is shown, the surface of which is provided with protuberances: these protuberances produce turbulence and small variations in pressure.
  • 1d there is shown a rotor consisting of two offset half-cylinders, which causes a sudden increase in pressure followed by a gradual decrease.
