Durch die umlaufende nutförmige Aufnahme des Palettenkörpers wird bewirkt, daß der untere Bereich des Seitenwandgerüstes vom Palettenkörper praktisch über den ganzen Umfang formschlüssig gehalten ist. Das Seitenwandgerüst erhält hierdurch eine erhöhte Stabilität. Die Ausgestaltung derartiger Klammern kann durch entsprechende Formgebung auf die Querschnittsform der unteren Umrandung abgestimmt sein, so daß die Klammern die untere Umrandung zumindest teilweise formschlüssig umgeben. Das Fertigungsverfahren erlaubt eine wirtschaftliche Fertigung von mit Versteifungsrippen versehenen Palettenkörpern, wobei auch die erfindungsgemäße umlaufende nutförmige Aufnahme, die Randstege sowie alle weiteren erfindungsgemäßen Merkmale in einem Fertigungsschritt durch Spritzgießen an dem Palettenkörper ausgebildet werden können. Eine fertigungstechnische Vereinfachung ist möglich, wenn der Palettenkörper wenigstens zweiteilig aus einem Oberteil und wenigstens einem Unterteil zusammengesetzt ist, wobei zumindest ein Teil aus Kunststoff geformt ist. Diese Ausgestaltung der Erfindung erlaubt darüber hinaus, die Ausbildung von Versteifungsrippen in jeweils an dem Oberteil und dem Unterteil ausgebildeten Halbschalen, so daß nach Zusammensetzen der beiden Teile die Rippen in einem nach außen geschlossenen Hohlkörper ausgebildet sind. Dies verhindert u. a. die Ansammlung von Schmutz zwischen den Rippen. Außerdem sind die in einem geschlossenen Hohlkörper ausgebildeten Rippen vor Beschädigung geschützt. Ferner erlaubt die zweiteilige Ausgestaltung des Palettenkörpers den Austausch eines beschädigten Teils, so daß nicht der gesamte Palettenkörper unbrauchbar wird. Diese Ausgestaltung erlaubt es in einfacher Weise einen formstabilen Palettenkörper zu schaffen, bei dem die notwendige Formsteifigkeit über die Ausgestaltung der gitterförmigen Versteifung im wesentlichen im Oberteil vorgesehen werden kann. Über die Dichte und Ausrichtung der gitterförmigen Versteifungsstege kann entsprechend den gewünschten Anforderungen in Verbindung mit dem gewählten Kunststoffmaterial auf die Formsteifigkeit Einfluß genommen werden.
