Abstract

Described is a strip of woven or knitted material for use in a blind, the strip of material having, woven into it, pockets (2) designed to be fitted with suspension devices (3) or tensioning weights (4).

Description

Gewebte oder gewirkte Stoffbahn für eine Vorhanglamelle.Woven or knitted fabric for a curtain slat.
The invention relates to a woven or knitted fabric web for a curtain slat.
Curtain slats are known; they serve to shade window areas. A curtain slat has a hanger at one end and a weighting plate at its other end in order to ensure a stable vertical position of the fore slat. So far, it has been the case that the pockets for receiving the hangers or weight plates were welded, glued or sewn. This means that the bags had to be made after the actual production of the woven or knitted fabric panels.
The disadvantage of this is that, because of this second work step for producing the pockets, a curtain slat is produced in two work steps, which makes the production of curtain slats relatively expensive.
The invention is therefore based on the object of producing a woven or knitted fabric web for curtain slats in one operation.
The object is achieved in that the fabric has woven pockets for receiving hangers or weight plates. In the area of the pockets, the fabric is double-layered to form the pockets. To simplify the weaving or knitting process, the pockets are arranged parallel to the weft direction in the fabric. If several pockets are woven or knitted into the fabric running parallel to each other, it is possible to cut through the fabric to produce a curtain slat of any length on the webs closing the bags. That is, that lamellae in a simple manner by the formation of a fabric web with a plurality of pockets arranged in parallel one above the other Any length and width can be produced without a second operation being required, as is the case in the prior art.
The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of the drawing.
The drawing shows a curtain lamella 1 with a plurality of pockets 2 arranged one above the other, the upper pocket serving to receive a hanger 3 and the lower pocket serving to accommodate a weight plate 4. The webs between the individual pockets are labeled 2a. It is immediately apparent that in order to produce a lamella of any length, the respective lamella only has to be cut off in the region of the web 2a. A hanger 3 can then be inserted into the subsequent pocket, only one opening 2b having to be cut into the pocket. Not only curtain slats of any length can be produced, but also of any width by cutting the fabric over the width.
