Definitions
- the invention relates to a horse saddle according to claim 1, as well as its production method according to claim 34.
- Such a strap is an accessory to the user discretion. It is added to the saddle proper by being placed transversely by on it, that is to say by being applied to the faces visible exterior of the headquarters, small quarters and neighborhoods.
- the passage is provided in each of the two branches of a tree, on the saddle panels.
- EP-A-466 270 describes a saddle riding, the seat of which has upper elements and lower in flexible synthetic material and a tree rigid or semi-rigid trapped between the two elements.
- a fixing strap surrounds the tree and the element inferior.
- This saddle also has the disadvantages inherent in the extra thickness caused by the presence of strap under the upper element.
- the invention therefore aims to remedy these disadvantages.
- the saddle has either a single passage for a strap and / or a strap, either two separate passages from each other and separate relative to each other for a strap and a overstrap.
- the passage is made in the tree.
- the passage is defined towards the high by the longitudinal strap (s) fixed to the frame of the tree; down by the two strips rigid longitudinal members of the tree frame; to the pommel and towards the troussequin respectively by spacers ensuring the desired spacing between said longitudinal straps and the said longitudinal strips of the frame.
- the side openings of the passage are normally hidden from view by small neighborhoods, to be placed below them.
- the passage is located in or near the median part of the narrowest tree transversely.
- the saddle has a single passage for a strap adjoining a transverse strip placed towards the pommel and overlying the longitudinal straps of the tree, said band being intended, by means hooking, to the removable hooking of the strap of the saddle.
- a knife is provided L-shaped stirrup tree not allowing the introduction of the stirrup that as a result of a movement from bottom to top between the stirrup knife and the quarter and its disengagement only by an opposite movement.
- the invention also relates to a saddle according to this first variant with its overstrap integrated in the thickness of the saddle.
- Such a saddle is more especially intended for polo game.
- the overstrap is not in extra thickness compared to the seat.
- the saddle includes a single passage for the strap, this passage being situated towards the pommel and the stirrup knives.
- strap passes transversely through the saddle, without the need for the cross band provided with means hanging.
- the invention also relates to a saddle according to this second variant with its integrated strap.
- Such a saddle may or may not have a strap.
- the saddle has a single or double passage for the strap and the overstrap.
- the invention also relates to a saddle according to this third variant with its strap and strap integrated.
- Figures 1, 2 and 3 are three elevational views lateral of a saddle according to the invention according to a first variant with respectively (i) its strap, its stirrup and its integrated strap; (ii) his only strap integrated; and (iii) the saddle without any strap, stirrup stirrup.
- Figures 4 and 5 are two elevational views lateral of the saddle of figure 3 with respectively (i) the small quarter raised upwards and (ii) the quarter also lifted up.
- Figures 6 and 7 are two elevational views side of the tree of the saddle according to the invention and the Figures 3 to 5, respectively with and without overstrap.
- Figures 8 and 9 are two top views of the tree according to Figures 6 and 7.
- Figures 10 and 11 are two bottom views of the tree according to Figures 6 and 7.
- Figures 12 and 13 are two sectional views along lines XII - XII and XIII - XIII respectively of Figures 9 and 8, Figure 13 being shown more large scale.
- Figure 14 is a partial detail view corresponding to Figure 4, the small quarter being directed down but shown in ghost lines.
- Figure 15 is a partial detail view, larger scale showing the room forming quarter towards its upper free edge.
- Figure 16 is a view similar to Figure 6 corresponding to a third alternative embodiment.
- a saddle 1 in accordance with a first variant of the invention and as shown in the drawings, includes a saddle itself or saddle body 2, to which are associated with a strap 3, stirrups 4 and an overstrap 5.
- the overstrap 5 referred to here is intended to be positioned, like strap 3. It is more or less parallel and is intended to come to rest under the belly of the horse.
- the actual saddle 2 includes in particular a rigid internal tree 6, seat 7, padding 8, two small quarters 9, two quarters 10 and two scythes quarters 11, all three lateral, superimposed and placed respectively from the outside to the inside of the saddle 1.
- Tree 6 defines an arch on the saddle front 12, a pommel 13 and a cantle 14.
- saddle 1 may be subject to variants of realization according to the pursued goals, the morphology of the horse and the requirements of the person intended for the ascend.
- Saddle 1 has a general plane of symmetry P.
- plane P When the saddle is placed on the horse's back or placed in normal waiting position, plane P is vertical or substantially vertical while the seat 7 although curved upwardly concavity has a horizontal general direction. In this situation, the seat 7 is turned up, padding 8 is turned down and the small quarters 9, quarters 10 and false quarters 11 are drooping and directed downwards (thus as shown in the drawings).
- the qualifiers “high”, “low”, “upper”, “lower” refer to this position.
- the qualifier of “exterior” refers to what is towards the outside of the saddle, that is to say opposite to the horse on which the saddle is placed. What is outside in general, is on the side of the observer looking at the saddle from the outside.
- the qualifier “interior” is opposed to “outside”.
- the qualifier of “transverse” indicates a general direction perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to plane P.
- the qualifier “vertical” denotes a direction perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to seat 7 in its middle part. The vertical direction is represented by the line D on the figures.
- the qualifier of “longitudinal” it designates a substantially horizontal general direction and parallel to plane P (therefore going from pommel 13 to 14).
- the saddle 1, 2 comprises a single passage 16 for the overstrap 5.
- This holding passage 16 is on the one hand through that is to say that it has at its two ends two openings 17, on the other hand transverse, relative to the plan P.
- Passage 16 is provided in tree 6, below of the upper outer face 18 of the seat 7 and above of the lower inner face 19 of the padding 8.
- Passage 16 is therefore fully integrated into the saddle 1. The same is true of the overstrap 5.
- Passage 16 essentially provides two functions.
- the first function is to allow the passage transverse guided from the overstrap 5 from one side to the other of saddle 1 and, due to the integration of the strap 5 to the saddle, to avoid the excess thickness compared to the seat 7 known so far.
- passage 16 provides a transverse guiding of the overstrap 5 and its positioning longitudinal. The latter defined by the relative position of the passage 16 on the actual saddle 2, is optimized for better support. Thanks to the guidance operated by the passage 16, the overstrap 5 is prevented from slipping longitudinally and relatively with respect to the saddle 2, the optimal position being preserved.
- the second function is to constitute for the overstrap 5 vertical and downward support on the saddle proper 2 and more particularly tree 6.
- Tree 6 has a resistance frame, in wood and metal in particular, including two bands rigid longitudinal 20.
- the two bands 20 are joined rigidly one to the other towards the troussequin 14. On the opposite, they are rigidly attached to the arch 12, substantially halfway up and substantially orthogonally.
- Two longitudinal general direction straps 22, crossed, are stretched over and above the frame tree 6 between the pommel 13 and the cantle 14, where they are respectively fixed for example by means of nails 22a.
- the straps 22 are placed in the concavity that forms the frame of tree 6.
- Tree 6 also has a top canvas 23, attached, applied to the straps 22, stretched, fixed to the strips 20 of the frame of the tree 6 by means of nails or equivalent.
- a piece of leather or equivalent 24 covers the felt seat and form, for the outside observer, the seat 7.
- the assembly is fixed to the tree 6 by nails 25.
- the mentioned seam like the other seams of the saddle are preferably of the saddler type.
- Passage 16 is defined and limited upwards by the straps 22. It is defined and limited, downwards by the two bands 20. Finally, it is limited to the knob 13 and the troussequin 14 by spacers 28, 29, respectively.
- the spacers 28, 29 are interposed between and at the contact respectively with the bands 20 and the straps 22.
- the spacers 28, 29 provide between the strips 20 and the straps 22 the desired spacing which defines the height of passage 16.
- the width - in longitudinal direction - of passage 16 is defined by the spacing between the two spacers 28, 29.
- band transverse 30 is fixed to the bands 20 of the frame, in below for example, by means of nails 30a or equivalent.
- This strip 30 provides the coating, at least upwards, bands 20.
- This band 30 joins together the two strips 20 of the frame of the tree 6 by closing the passage 16 down.
- the material of the strip 30 is suitable for the passage, support and sliding of the overstrap 5. This is leather or equivalent.
- the spacers 28, 29 are made of blocks solid suitably cut plastic or equivalent, sufficiently rigid.
- the spacers 28, 29 extend transversely so as to rest on the two longitudinal strips 20 of the frame of the tree 6.
- passage 16 is closed towards the high by the straps 22, towards the knob 13 and the troussequin 14 by the spacers 28, 29 respectively.
- the strip 30 partially overlaps the spacers 28, 29. An association between them is made by means of a seam 34 or equivalent (example collage).
- Passage 16 is only open at the place of its two side openings 17.
- the passage 16 In cross section (relative to its axis), the passage 16 has a substantially rectangular outline or pseudo-rectangular. Its dimensions, namely small dimension in height and large dimension in direction longitudinal, are larger than the dimensions of the overstrap 5 (in cross section transverse) to allow free passage of the overstrap 5 with the necessary but not excessive play.
- the passage 16 In its length - in transverse direction -, the passage 16 is curved with a concavity facing downwards, the openings 17 being in the low position and the middle part passage 16 in the high position. This arrangement facilitates the setting of the overstrap 5.
- the two bands 20 of the frame are inclined from the top to bottom and from the inside to the outside of the saddle. This inclination determines that of the openings 17 previously mentioned. Being adjacent to the openings 17 that they help to delimit, the two bands 20 form a guide face for the introduction of the overstrap 5 in passage 16. This arrangement facilitates also the introduction of the overstrap in passage 16 even though the openings 17 may seem difficult or poorly accessible since placed under the small quarters 9.
- the fabric 23 is suitably cut to spare passage 16 leaving its openings 17 discoveries. The same is true for the felt seat or equivalent.
- the two tabs 31 (for the two pieces 26) are therefore separated, above and opposite the strip 30. They also help to facilitate the introduction of the overstrap 5 in passage 16 and its sliding transverse.
- a tongue 31 has its free edge interposed between the strap 22 and the felt seat or equivalent. Through elsewhere, a tongue 31 is also associated rigidly by gluing or equivalent to the saddle body 2.
- Passage 16 is located in or near the narrowest part of tree 6 transversely. The longitudinal position of passage 16 is determined for maximum effectiveness of the webbing 5.
- this position longitudinal is adjustable by longitudinally adjusting the position of the spacers 28, 29.
- the openings 17 are normally hidden from view. seen by the small quarters 9 placed above them. In in particular, the openings 17 are located near the lower free edges 32 of the small quarters 9.
- passage 16 adjoins a transverse strip 33 placed towards the knob 13 and overlapping the straps 22 by crossing them.
- Band 33 is fixed to bands 20 of the frame tree 6 using nails 33a or equivalent.
- the strip 33 has attachment means 36 for removable attachment of the strap 3.
- attachment means are, for example, rings or straps or whatever.
- the strip 33 covers the spacer 28 and is placed at the right thereof.
- the fabric 23 covers the spacer 29 and is placed at the right of it.
- This first variant is more specially designed for polo games. Indeed, thanks to the overstrap 5 integrated into the saddle 1, securing the saddle 1 to the horse carrying it is perfectly insured. The safety and comfort for the polo player.
- stirrup knife 15 is preferably provided with a stirrup knife in the shape of L. Combined with tree 6 with which it is associated with its two free ends, the stirrup knife 15 forms a passage closed over its entire periphery. This achievement authorizes the passage of the stirrup 4 only following a up and down movement between the stirrup knife 15 and district 10 in the said passage closed on its periphery. (See arrow F in figure 6).
- the slot or passing 37 for the overstrap 5 can also be used as a slit or passing for the stirrup tree 4.
- Figure 1 which illustrates the overstrap 5 integrated into the thickness of the saddle 1 and which, thus in place, crosses passage 16, emerges from its two lateral openings 17, is placed on the visible outer face of the two quarters 10 between the say openings and slots or passers-by 37, and is placed under the two quarters 10 while being hidden from view between slots or loops 37 and free edges lower 38 of wards 10.
- passage 16 and of overstrap 5 i.e. the small height dimension (thickness for the overstrap 5) and large dimension in longitudinal direction (width of the webbing 5) are in report to allow both the introduction, the sliding for passage, guiding without possibility substantial relative longitudinal displacement of the overstrap 5 in or relative to passage 16.
- the overstrap 5 being masked by the quarters 10 below the slots or passers-by 37, it does not does not, at this point, cause discomfort to the dish of thighs of the person riding the horse. Indeed, it does not form an extra thickness.
- the saddle has a single passage 16 for strap 3, this passage 16 being located relative to that described in relationship with the first variant, more towards knob 13 and stirrup knives 15 and more distant of the troussequin 14.
- Passage 16 thus considered is to the right of strip 33, as described in the first variant.
- the band 33 instead of being rigidly fixed to tree 6, as in the first variant, is mounted, in passage 16 provided for this purpose, sliding free transverse.
- the saddle 1 comprises therefore, in addition, a strap 3 mounted integrated in the thickness of the saddle 1.
- this strap 3 is of the type conventional and is fixed to the hanging means provided for in this effect on the strip 33 itself of conventional type; be there band 33 is merged with strap 3.
- the saddle 2 has a single or double passage for strap 3 and the girth 5.
- the saddle 1 then further comprises a strap 3 and an overstrap 5 both integrated in the thickness saddle 1.
- this strap 3 or overstrap 5 can be of the type comprising an elastic section.
- the invention relates to a method of making a saddle as it comes to be described.
- This process is such that during manufacture and mounting the saddle, in tree 6 there is at least one passage 16, crossing, transverse, cutting and / or suitably folding the felt seat, the cloth 23, room 26 and the free edge 27 of district 10 and interposing spacers 28, 29 between the strips 20 of the frame of the tree 6 and the straps 22.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a horse saddle according to claim 1,
as well as its production method according to
We know that, in some cases, we want strengthen or improve the security of the solidarity of the saddle to the horse. This is the case, for example, for the polo game in which the polo player is often in deported and unbalanced position. A circumstance analogous can be presented for training or for certain horse-riding activities or training.
To this end, it is known to use and implement work a strap. This one "doubles" the strap with which any classic saddle is fitted. Here it is recalled that the two end parts for hooking the strap to the actual saddle are interposed between the quarter and the false quarter, on each side of the saddle, where they are attached to hooking means provided on both ends of a strip arranged transversely over the saddle tree and fixed to it by nails or equivalent.
Such a strap is an accessory to the user discretion. It is added to the saddle proper by being placed transversely by on it, that is to say by being applied to the faces visible exterior of the headquarters, small quarters and neighborhoods.
As a result, on the headquarters and the quarters, the location of the overstrap, an extra thickness corresponding to the thickness of the overstrap and two projecting edges corresponding to the two longitudinal free edges of the overstrap. This extra thickness and these edges protrusions are placed transversely to the saddle.
This situation is inherent in the constitution classic horse saddles that do not allow, made of their structure - otherwise traditionally well established - integration of a overstrap.
However, the presence of a surstangle arranged such that this is known has many drawbacks and notably an obvious lack of comfort for the person who ride the horse (rider, polo player, etc.) whose buttocks are based on the extra thickness and, like the thighs in their dish, meet the free edges of the overstrap, especially during a relative longitudinal movement relative to the saddle, forward or backward. Another disadvantage is that positioning in the longitudinal direction the overstrap is not necessarily optimal, no indication of this positioning not being given and the overstrap not being guided. Finally, this positioning can change as a result of a relative longitudinal shift of the strap over the saddle.
The passage is provided in each of the two branches of a tree, on the saddle panels.
Cette selle présente également les inconvénients mentionnés.This saddle also has the disadvantages mentioned.
EP-A-466 270 describes a saddle riding, the seat of which has upper elements and lower in flexible synthetic material and a tree rigid or semi-rigid trapped between the two elements.
A fixing strap surrounds the tree and the element inferior.
This saddle also has the disadvantages inherent in the extra thickness caused by the presence of strap under the upper element.
L'invention vise donc à remédier à ces inconvénients. The invention therefore aims to remedy these disadvantages.
For this purpose, it offers a saddle for horses according to the preamble of claim 1, characterized in what the passaqe is a passage of maintenance, crossing. transverse, of defined height below the face upper exterior of the seat, fully integrated into the saddle, having on the one hand the passage transverse guided from side to side and, on the other hand, the vertical and downward support of at least one strap or overstrap.
According to other features, the saddle has either a single passage for a strap and / or a strap, either two separate passages from each other and separate relative to each other for a strap and a overstrap.
Le passage est ménagé dans l'arçon.The passage is made in the tree.
More specifically, the passage is defined towards the high by the longitudinal strap (s) fixed to the frame of the tree; down by the two strips rigid longitudinal members of the tree frame; to the pommel and towards the troussequin respectively by spacers ensuring the desired spacing between said longitudinal straps and the said longitudinal strips of the frame.
The side openings of the passage are normally hidden from view by small neighborhoods, to be placed below them.
The passage is located in or near the median part of the narrowest tree transversely.
According to a first alternative embodiment, the saddle has a single passage for a strap adjoining a transverse strip placed towards the pommel and overlying the longitudinal straps of the tree, said band being intended, by means hooking, to the removable hooking of the strap of the saddle.
In this case, it is spared, in the neighborhood a slit or loop for the strap, located substantially at plumb with the passage of the overstrap.
Furthermore, still in this first variant, preferably, a knife is provided L-shaped stirrup tree not allowing the introduction of the stirrup that as a result of a movement from bottom to top between the stirrup knife and the quarter and its disengagement only by an opposite movement.
The invention also relates to a saddle according to this first variant with its overstrap integrated in the thickness of the saddle.
Such a saddle is more especially intended for polo game.
In such a saddle, the overstrap is not in extra thickness compared to the seat.
According to a second variant, the saddle includes a single passage for the strap, this passage being situated towards the pommel and the stirrup knives. In this case strap passes transversely through the saddle, without the need for the cross band provided with means hanging.
The invention also relates to a saddle according to this second variant with its integrated strap.
Such a saddle may or may not have a strap.
Finally, according to a third variant, the saddle has a single or double passage for the strap and the overstrap.
The invention also relates to a saddle according to this third variant with its strap and strap integrated.
The invention will be clearly understood on reading the description which follows.

l'arçon 6, latéralement, deux couteaux d'étrivière 15.To the
Generally, the shape and arrangement of components of saddle 1 as it comes to be described, may be subject to variants of realization according to the pursued goals, the morphology of the horse and the requirements of the person intended for the ascend.
When the saddle is placed on the horse's back or
placed in normal waiting position, plane P is

troussequin 14).In the text, the qualifiers "high", "low",

elsewhere, the qualifier of "exterior" refers to what
is towards the outside of the saddle, that is to say opposite to the
horse on which the saddle is placed. What is outside
in general, is on the side of the observer looking at the saddle
from the outside. The qualifier "interior" is opposed to
"outside". The qualifier of "transverse" indicates a
general direction perpendicular or substantially
perpendicular to plane P. The qualifier "vertical"
denotes a direction perpendicular or substantially

Selon l'invention, la selle 1, 2 comporte un
passage unique 16 pour la sursangle 5.According to the invention, the
plan P.This holding
The first function is to allow the passage

proprement dite 2 et plus particulièrement l'arçon 6.The second function is to constitute for the
The two

The mentioned seam, like the other seams of the saddle are preferably of the saddler type.
entretoises 28, 29. The
It is also expected that the same band
transverse 30 is fixed to the

In cross section (relative to its

la mise en place de la sursangle 5.In its length - in transverse direction -, the

It should be noted that this position

This allows a realization of the saddle perfectly adapted to the morphology of the horse as well that the requirements of the person riding it and the activity practiced.

In the first variant considered,

This first variant is more

environ notamment. In this realization, it is planned,

inférieurs 38 des quartiers 10.We refer again to Figure 1 which

Furthermore, the
du troussequin 14.According to a second variant, not shown, the

transversal libre. The
bande 33 est confondue avec la sangle 3.In this second variant, the saddle 1 comprises

According to another aspect, the invention relates to a method of making a saddle as it comes to be described.
