Description

The present invention relates to a composition which is suitable for cleaning ovens of all kinds, in particular for stoves, ovens and grills.
The compositions currently on the market, which are intended for cleaning classic enamel stoves, essentially have as active constituents, on the one hand, a suitable basic raw material, which acts on fats and burnt-on residues, and, on the other hand, solvents and organic active substances, which act as solvents and moistening or wetting agents. In order to make handling easy, the mixtures are mostly filled as sprays and other components such as. B. surfactants and / or foaming agents, thickeners and foam stabilizers. It should be noted that consumers particularly appreciate the products in the form of a stable foam, which have the advantage of making the spraying process visible.
The cleaning products for ovens currently on the market essentially have, in weight ratios, 5 to 10% solvents and 10 to 15% basic raw materials, which are generally composed of a mixture of an alkaline base such as soda or pattas and one or more amino acids, especially of monoethanolamine. Such products have been developed with a satisfactory effectiveness for cleaning the classic enamel stoves, but not for cleaning the so-called self-cleaning stoves (catalysis, pyrolysis).
Furthermore, in addition to the classic ovens with baking tubes made of enamel, there are also ovens made of stainless steel on the market which are equipped with hot air heating and which are either only available as "hot air ovens or as mixed" hot air / grill "ovens It should be noted that the nature of the cladding of these ovens (non-oxidizing steel) causes great difficulties in cleaning with the products known on the market, as defined above, and thus requires the development of more effective cleaning compositions makes. To this day, it has not been possible to offer consumers suitable compositions which allow the ovens to be cleaned satisfactorily with non-oxidizing steel convection ovens.
The object of the present invention is to remedy this problem by proposing a new composition for cleaning the furnaces which has the advantages of the known composition for cleaning classic enamel furnaces but at the same time has the property that it is in can be used satisfactorily for cleaning the new non-oxidizing steel and "grill / hot air" ovens.
According to the invention, this composition is characterized in that, in addition to a basic base material which contains an alkaline base such as soda or potash and / or one or more amines, it has 10 to 30% by weight of a mixture of low-volatile solvent which is used for one part contains at least one propylene glycol ether and the other part contains at least one dipropylene glycol ether, the weight ratio of propylene glycol ether to dipropylene glycol ether being between 30:70 and 90:10.
The composition according to the invention thus differs from classic compositions of the same type equally in that it has a higher solvent content and in the particular nature of the solvent, which consists exclusively of a mixture of propylene glycol ether and dipropylene glycol ether. It is preferably the glycol monoethers. A wide range of these ethers can be used without departing from the invention; The choice of the ether actually used is primarily determined by considerations regarding economy and solvency.
For example, very satisfactory results have been achieved if a mixture of the n- or t-butyl ether and the methyl ether of the propylene glycol in a ratio of 30:70 to 70:30 is used in conjunction with dipropylene glycol methyl ether. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, particularly strong foaming when used as a spray is achieved if the solvent is formed by a mixture of dipropylene glycol ethyl ether and propylene glycol methyl ether.
In addition, particularly satisfactory results have been obtained in the cleaning of ovens with hot air tubes and with tubes made of non-oxidizable steel, and the effectiveness with classic enamel ovens has been improved with the aim of a faster action. In fact, it can be shown in figures that a corresponding composition currently available on the market after a contact time of one night has the same effect as the composition according to the invention after a contact time of 30 minutes due to a better solution of the Fats due to less evaporation of the solvent.
According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the composition has between 10 and 15 percent by weight of solvent, the amount of the propylene glycol ether preferably being about 2 to 4 times higher than the amount of the dipropylene glycol ether.
According to another embodiment, the composition can have between 0.5 and 10% by weight sodium carbonate (soda). Taking into account the safety of use and to better prevent the risk of accidents by contacting or taking these products, manufacturers have been trying for several years to reduce the maximum amount of the caustic and pickling substances used in cleaning ovens certain compositions are included. The cleaning agent according to the invention shows its effectiveness with a sodium carbonate content already below 2%, and it is advantageous not to exceed this limit. In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the basic base material preferably consists of a mixture of 0.5 to 2% sodium carbonate and 2 to 10, preferably 2 to 6% by weight A in, preferably monoethanolamine.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the composition has between 0.5 and 2% of a thickener, for example Smectitton. It has been found that the presence of a thickening agent in the composition according to the invention facilitates adhesion of the sprayed product to the furnace walls.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the composition has up to 2% by weight, preferably 0.1 to 1% by weight, of a surface-active agent, in particular a sodium sulfate of a fatty alcohol with 8 to 15, preferably 10 to 12 carbon atoms, which is ethoxylated with 2 to 5 moles of ethylene oxide.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the composition has up to 2% by weight, preferably 0.1 to 1% by weight, of a foam-stabilizing agent, in particular an amide of a fatty acid with 8 to 14 carbon atoms or Copra oil.
