Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a strip-shaped closure element, in particular for closing bag-shaped packaging, which can be wound around the packaging and is secured against automatic opening by at least one incorporated wire.
Such closure elements are widely known as closure clips, in particular from the food sector. For example, pasta, oatmeal, spices, tea and other scatterable foods are often offered in bags sealed with such elements. These closure elements have the advantage that they can be reused to close them after the packaging has been opened. Such closure clips can also be stored after the pack has been used up and used in the household to close other foods packaged in plastic bags. A disadvantage of the known closure elements, however, is that in the case of packaging with such closure elements it is not evident whether the packaging has already been opened. In the food sector in particular, however, such a control option is desirable and in many places it is already a requirement to be able to rule out health risks to the population by introducing foreign bodies or the like into the packaging.
To solve this problem, a closure element of the type mentioned is therefore proposed, which is characterized according to the invention in that the free end of the closure element is attached to another part of the closure element and / or to the packaging by applying a thermoplastic material, the thermoplastic material an intimate connection with the material of the closure element and / or the packaging. By fixing the end of the closure element with the aid of a thermoplastic material, the closure element according to the invention combines the advantages of the closure elements since then - namely reusability for sealing the same or different packaging - with a sealable closure which indicates whether the packaging has been opened before. The intimate material connection between the thermoplastic material and the closure element or packaging ensures that after opening the packaging part of the material of the closure element remains at the sealing point. As a result, once the packaging has been reclosed, it can always be verified that it has been opened. The thermoplastic material can be applied between the free end of the closure element and the underlying part of the closure element and / or the packaging and thereby glue the free end to another part of the closure element or the packaging. The sealing of the closure element is therefore not visible from the outside. In another variant, the thermoplastic material can be applied to the outside of the free end of the closure element and extend to the region of the part of the closure element and / or the packaging lying below the free end and adjoining the free end. Here, the thermoplastic material forms a type of sealing tab which connects the free end of the sealing element from the outside to another part of the sealing element or the packaging. The thermoplastic material can be a hot-melt adhesive or sealing wax. A guarantee of authenticity can also be found in the thermoplastic material a stamp or seal impression can be embossed. This additionally ensures that unauthorized opening of the packaging cannot be concealed by melting and closing the packaging again. Various materials can be used for the closure element. Its production from paper is particularly economical and environmentally friendly.

Fig. 1 shows a bag-
2 shows a
