Definitions

  • the invention relates to an installation device for connecting double drill pipes consisting of an outer pipe and an inner rod to the end of a double pipe rod.
  • double pipe rods are often used, which consist of double drill pipes joined together in the longitudinal direction.
  • double drill pipes have to be attached to the rear end of the double pipe string in order to extend the drill string.
  • the double drill pipes are attached either by hand or with the aid of a pipe magazine in which the double drill pipes are arranged such that the inner rod is precentered in the outer pipe.
  • Special spacers can be used for pre-centering. Such spacers are very expensive on the one hand and they on the other hand hinder the annular space between the outer tube and inner rod.
  • the invention has for its object to provide an installation device which facilitates the mounting of double drill pipes on the double pipe string of a drill string.
  • a first centering device is provided on the rear end of a beam, which centers the rear ends of the outer tube and inner rod relative to one another when the inner rod protrudes out of the rear end of the outer tube.
  • a second centering device At the front end of the bar there is a second centering device, which initially only holds and centers the front end of the outer tube, while the front end of the inner rod lies eccentrically in the outer tube.
  • the second centering device is provided with a run-on slope, through which the front end of the inner rod is raised when the inner rod is advanced in the outer tube.
  • the double drill pipe is inserted into the drill device in a state in which only the rear end of the inner rod is centered relative to the outer pipe, while the front end of the inner rod is not centered.
  • the rear end of the inner rod can be connected to the coupling device of a rotary drive, which is then pushed forward and takes the inner rod with it.
  • the front end is marked by the chamfer the second centering device raised and also centered in the outer tube.
  • the front end of the inner rod which then protrudes from the front end of the outer tube, can be screwed to the rear end of the inner strand of the double tube rod by rotation by means of the rotary drive.
  • the second centering device is then removed and the outer tube is also advanced with rotation in order to screw it to the outer tube strand of the double tube rod.
  • the installation device according to the invention makes pre-centering unnecessary and enables the attachment of double drill pipes to a double pipe rod, without manual intervention and without manual application of force.
  • double drill pipe encompasses the combination of two pipes lying one inside the other, the inner rod being designed either fully or as a tubular tubular rod. At the ends of the outer tube and inner rod there are threads or other coupling devices with which similar tubes or rods can be connected.
  • the inner rod can also be designed as a auger.
  • an elongated drill carriage 10 which serves as a rail guide for a carriage 11.
  • the carriage 11 carries at its front end (facing the borehole) a rotary drive 12 which drives a coupling device 13 in rotation.
  • the coupling device 13 is used to couple an outer tube of the double drill pipe to the rotary drive 12.
  • a rotary drive 14 for the inner string of the double pipe rod is attached to the slide 11. This rotary drive 14 can be moved in the direction of the double arrow 16 on the carriage 11, so that its distance from the fixed rotary drive 12 can be changed.
  • the coupling tube 15 extends through the rotary drive 12 and the coupling device 13 and protrudes from the front end of the coupling device 13.
  • a drill guide 17 for guiding the double pipe rod and a clamping device 18 with (not shown) hydraulic cylinders for holding the double pipe rod against rotation.
  • Fig. 1 the rear end of the double pipe linkage 19 is shown.
  • This consists of outer tubes 20 placed one behind the other and inner rods 21 running coaxially therein, an annular space being provided between the outer tube 20 and inner rod 21 for backwashing the drill material.
  • Fig. 1 the carriage 11 is shown in its retracted position on the drill carriage 10.
  • the double drill pipe 19 has been advanced and a double drill pipe 22 is attached to this double drill pipe 19 in order to extend the double pipe pipe.
  • the double drill pipe 22 is fastened to the installation device 23, from which it is held in the position required for mounting on the double pipe linkage 19.
  • the double tube linkage 22 consists of the outer tube 24 and the inner rod 25, which has the same length as the outer tube 24.
  • the mounting device 23 is shown in FIGS. 2 to 4 shown in detail. It has an elongated bar 26 which is suspended from a carrying device 27.
  • the carrying device 27 here consists of two ropes which are attached to a crane. One rope is suspended in one of numerous holes 28 in the beam 26 in order to be able to change the angle of inclination of the beam 26. In the state shown in FIG. 2, the bar 26 runs horizontally.
  • the carriage 10 is normally pivotally attached to a crawler vehicle. By adjusting the angle of inclination of the beam 26, the angle of inclination of the mounting device can be adapted to that of the drilling mount 10.
  • first centering device 30 At the rear end of the beam 26 there is a first centering device 30.
  • This has two clamping jaws 31, 32 which are pivotably attached to the beam 26 via joints 33.
  • the clamping jaws 31, 32 are two-armed levers, the outer lever arms of which are connected by a piston-cylinder unit 34. If the piston-cylinder unit 34 is extended, the clamping jaws 31, 32 are pressed against one another.
  • the clamping jaws 31, 32 each have a tube section 35, which engages around the end of the outer tube 24, and a centering shoulder 36, which engages around the rear end of the inner rod 25 protruding from the outer tube 24 and clamps it in order to prevent axial displacement of the inner rod 25.
  • the second centering device 37 which likewise has two clamping jaws 38, 39 which can be swung apart and which together enclose and center the front end of the outer tube 24.
  • the jaws 38, 39 can be pivoted about joints 40. They are designed as two-armed levers and a piston-cylinder unit 41 acts on their rear lever arms in order to either press the clamping jaws 38, 39 against one another or to open them.
  • the clamping jaws 38, 39 each have a tubular centering section 42 for the outer tube 24.
  • a conical area is provided which forms the run-on slope 43.
  • This run-up slope 43 opens into the centering area 44 for the inner rod 25.
  • the double drill pipe 22 is fastened to the installation device 23 in the manner shown in FIG. 2 by inserting the ends of the outer pipe 24 into the centering devices 30 and 37, the clamping jaws of which are then closed.
  • the inner rod 25 is offset in the longitudinal direction with respect to the outer tube 24, in that its rear end protrudes from the outer tube 24, while the front end lies loosely and eccentrically in the outer tube.
  • the angle a which form the axes of the outer tube and inner rod, is so small because of the great length of the tubes that the coupling tube 15 can be screwed onto the thread 50 of the inner tube, although these tubes are not exactly aligned with one another.
  • pivotable support devices 46 are located, which can be brought into a working position in order to support the outer tube 24 from below. While the outer pipe 24 rests on the support devices 46, the centering devices 30 and 37 are opened and the installation device is removed from the double drill pipe 22. Now the carriage 11 is advanced until the coupling device 13, which is rotated by the rotary drive 12, comes into engagement with the thread at the rear end of the outer tube 24 and rotates the outer tube with further advance. The outer tube 24 is screwed onto the outer tube 20 of the double tube linkage 19. The double drill pipe 22 is now part of the double pipe linkage 19 and this is driven by the rotary drives 12 and 14, while the carriage 11 is advanced along the drill carriage 10 in order to effect further drilling.
  • the length of the beam 26 corresponds essentially to the length of the double drill pipe 22.
  • the centering devices 30 and 37 which are each geared to a specific combination of the outer pipe 24 and the inner rod 25, can be replaced in accordance with the diameter of the drill pipes.
