Definitions
- the present invention relates to a support profile fire resistant, for example for a glass roof, as well as a device comprising such a profile.
- load-bearing elements are often used to constitute a frame, itself mounted on a support structure, for example beams concrete of a building.
- This element has at least one recess longitudinal drainage and / or joining of means for anchoring said panel.
- a common production of such profiles consists in producing from a dish or cutting in metal, for example in steel, a series of plastic deformations in a longitudinal direction, until two support edges are obtained longitudinal extending in a first plane parallel to the direction longitudinal, and a central “U” shaped recess, extending perpendicular to the foreground between the two support edges.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to propose a technique which alleviates between others, the drawbacks mentioned above, in a simple and economic.
- the invention aims to propose a technique allowing to combine an aesthetic contribution to the solution of the problems in question.
- one of the objects of the invention is a fire-resistant support profile, of the type comprising one element metallic beam forming with at least one edge longitudinal which defines a direct support plane or indirect for one or more panels such as glass or similar, this element having at least one recess longitudinal drainage and / or joining of means for anchoring said panels, characterized in that one or more of the external surfaces of said profile is at least partially coated with a layer of cellulosic material, for example wood, in accordance to claim 1.
- the aforementioned layer of material cellulosic has undergone a flame retardant treatment such that absorption of inert salts by heating in a autoclave.
- all of the external longitudinal surfaces of the profile, except for the support edge, is coated with a layer of cellulosic material.
- the aforementioned recess of the profile which defines a cavity, can be at least partially filled with a material inert, such as plaster or the like.
- the inert filling material of the aforementioned recess may -before or after its placement in the cavity - undergo fireproof treatment.
- any support structure such as for example the concrete framework of a building.
- a frame on the structure to which one or more panels, for example glazed panels, are made integral.
- a frame comprises or is constituted by profiles cut and assembled so as to be able to match and / or adapt to the support structure.
- the reference numeral 1 generally designates a profile of this type. According to the example illustrated in Figure 1, two panels 40 are mounted on the profile 1 having a longitudinal recess in the shape of a U, and therefore on the device.
- the panels 40 are panes, with a thickness of the order of 5 mm.
- each panel 40 may include a multilayer structure, such as double glazing.
- the panels 40 can be or comprise a transparent material or not, itself with high thermal resistance, such as for example “Pyrex” glass (registered trademark) or the like.
- the plane of the sheet is here perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the U-shaped profile 1.
- the longitudinal direction of profile 1 is perpendicular to the plane defined by the X and Y axes.
- the U-shaped profile 1 illustrated and of the type mentioned above is made using a dish in steel, deformed in the longitudinal direction of the profile (1) that one wishes to obtain, for example using bending by roller
- the invention can be applied to any other U-shaped metal profile. extruded for example from aluminum, or beams made of material sensitive to high temperatures, can replace the profile mentioned here, as part of the invention.
- This profile 1 is therefore load-bearing and "fire-resistant", that is to say resistant to temperatures higher than those are normally possible with the base material who constitutes them.
- profile 1 is of the type comprising a metal beam element, with at minus a longitudinal edge 14 which defines a plane direct or indirect support for one or more panels 40.
- two songs 14 extend along a plane longitudinal parallel to X.
- the device illustrated relates to a canopy where, for reasons of limitation of conduction space, a space is created between the support edges 14 and the panels 40.
- the panels are indirectly in abutment against the profile.
- a seal 401 which can be arranged between the lower or inner face of the panel 40, and the face upper edge of the corresponding song 14. The Constitution such a joint is explained later.
- This metallic element which makes part of profile 1, has at least one recess longitudinal 2.
- This recess or cavity 2 has the function drainage of condensation water in particular. He does therefore office of collector. So mainly under the effect of gravity (when the longitudinal direction forms a chosen angle with respect to the horizontal, the rainwater, condensation, etc. can be evacuated of the device into which the profile 1 is integrated.
- Another function, either cumulative or alternative, of the cavity 2 consists in allowing the joining of anchoring means 3. More precisely, these means participate in the anchoring to the profile 1 of the panels 40. we notice that the two songs 14 are separated by the recess 2.
- each accommodation 13 is a cross section gutter (along X-Y) in "U”, which enters the cavity 2 and which is fixed, advantageously using elastic side tabs or “clips”, at longitudinal edges of the edges 14. These edges are mutually opposite and opposite panels 40.
- this organ here is a steel dish 44.
- this dish 44 has a thickness along Y of 3 to 8 mm, and screw holes 34 ( ⁇ 6) spaced apart according to the longitudinal direction of 1 of approximately 300 mm. More precisely, between each face of a panel 40 and either the flat 44 is a support edge 14, at least one joint particularly thermal insulation is interposed.
- the seals 45 are made of silico-aluminous fibers, or any other material with high thermal resistance.
- Such seals resist temperatures of the order of 1790) C.
- a pure and annealed aluminum foil can make use of support for such a joint.
- the solidification of this joint and of the related elements or members is advantageously carried out by gluing, using an adhesive based on high temperature synthetic rubber.
- a second barrier preferably arranged at the outside of the seals 45, has inter alia the purpose to obtain a seal between the communicating areas with the internal cavity 12 and the outside of the assembly including profile 1.
- a silicone sealant single-component with rapid polymerization of a solvent such than acetate or Alkoxy, is perfectly suitable here.
- One of the main features of the invention is that the surfaces of said metallic element are coated with a layer 5 of cellulose-based material, and for example of wood to form a formwork in which said metal element is disposed.
- the invention provides in particular to associate metal for its mechanical resistance, with wood or derivatives, for its resistance to fire.
- wood often used as fuel, as a fire barrier or thermal. But this material present in extreme temperature conditions, more stability higher than metal. This is related to the fact that wood is poor heat conductor (is therefore insulating), so that under the action of fire, combustion remains superficial for a considerable time. The heart of a piece of burning wood is therefore not calcined only after a relatively long period: it is only while the consistency and stiffness of the wood is considerably altered. Conversely, by its conductivity, the metal quickly absorbs heat, and its load-bearing qualities (rigidity) decrease proportionally.
- the aforementioned layer 5 of cellulosic material has preferably undergone flame retardant treatment, such as absorption inert salts by heating in an autoclave.
- flame retardant treatment such as absorption inert salts by heating in an autoclave.
- Various flame retardant wood treatment techniques are varied and known to those skilled in the art.
- suitable treatments can easily be determined, and their full description is superfluous here. He is leaving the same for all the elements described in this and mentioned as being able to undergo fireproofing.
- layer 5 aforementioned in the form of a formwork at least partial inside which the profile 1 is housed.
- the proportions of each part of this formwork are variable, depending on the specifications to be observed.
- the average thickness of the wood layer is of the order of a few tens of mm, and more particularly from 15 to 50 mm.
- the formwork has a section transverse in "U", in the handle of which the metal profile proper. Also, this handle has a depth along Y and a width along X allowing easy mounting of the metal profile in its protection cellulosic.
- This assembly is possible among other things by relative logitudinal shift of 1 and 5, or by force insertion, i.e. involving a slight elastic deformation of branch spacing vertical of the metal profile.
- This formwork 5 includes positioning elements 51 and immobilization 52 of the profile 1.
- the elements 51 are projections internal of the formwork 5, able to cooperate with the base of the metal profile, in order to locate it along X.
- the elements 52 are internal projections arranged near the panels 40 and suitable for immobilize, for example by elastic pinching, the metal profile 1 according to Y.
- the projections 51, 52 or the joints 45, 46 are continuous or discontinuous depending on the longitudinal direction of 1. This point applies possibly also in element 6 described below.
- the recess 2 of the profile 1 is partially filled with an inert material 6, such as plaster or the like.
- This filling 6 can either like here be obtained by placing in the cavity 2 of a part pre-formed, either by pouring a fluid material and solidifying. It is then easy to completely drown or at least partially fill the recess 2.
- the inert filling material 6 the aforementioned recess may, before or after its placement in the recess, undergo a flame retardant treatment.
- any arrangement such as canopy or the like, with a support structure, a frame mounted on the structure of support and one or more panels 40, for example glazed integral with said frame, is also in the fields of the present invention, if it includes at least a profile 1 as described and illustrated here.
- two panels 40 are mounted on the sections 1 and 1 ', and therefore on the arrangement of which these are part.
- This arrangement is a canopy that must resist fire and / or high temperatures.
- the profile 1 has the function of being not only load-bearing, but also resistant to high temperatures, that is to say higher than those which are normally possible with the basic material which constitutes it.
- this material is a steel, such as stainless or "special".
- Profile 1 is made from a steel plate, deformed in its longitudinal direction, by example using roller bending or tubular forming.
- the profile 1 is of the metal beam forming type, with at least one longitudinal surface or edge 14 which defines a direct support plane or indirect for one or more panels 40.
- two pairs edges 14 extend respectively along a longitudinal plane, parallel to XZ.
- FIG. 2 a second section 1 is shown similar to 1, but whose longitudinal direction is substantially parallel to X.
- the panels 40 are panes, with a thickness of the order of 5 mm.
- Each panel 40 may include a multilayer structure, such as double glazing.
- the panels 40 can be or include a transparent material or not, itself with high thermal resistance, such as "Pyrex" glass (registered trademark) or the like.
- the illustrated arrangement relates to a canopy where, for reasons of limitation of heat conduction, a space is provided between the support edges 14 and the panels 40.
- the panels are here indirectly in abutment against the streamlined.
- the profile 1 has at least one longitudinal recess 2. It is noted that the two edges 14 are here separated by the recess 2. A function of the recess 2, either cumulative with drainage or alternative, consists of cooperating with and to allow the attachment of anchoring means 3. More precisely, these means participate in the anchoring of the panels 40 on the profile 1.
- this member is a steel dish 44.
- this dish 44 has a thickness along Y from 3 to 8 mm, as well as screw holes 34 ( ⁇ 6), distant in the longitudinal direction Z, of approximately 300 mm.
- hatched joints 401 which can be arranged between one face lower or upper panel 40, and a corresponding surface of either profile 1 or 1 ', or of a flat 44. These joints have the function of insulation in particular thermal layout, and protection of profiles.
- the joints 401 are made of silico-aluminous fibers, or of any other material with high thermal resistance.
- Such seals resist temperatures of the order of 1790 ° C.
- a pure and annealed aluminum foil can make use of support for such a joint.
- the solidification of this joint and of the related elements or members can advantageously be carried out by gluing, using an adhesive based on high temperature synthetic rubber.
- a second barrier preferably arranged outside the joints 401, has between others for the purpose of obtaining a seal between the zones in communication with the internal evidently 2 and the exterior of the arrangement.
- a putty 46 monocomponent silicone with rapid polymerization of a solvent such as acetate or Alkoxy, is perfectly suitable here.
- the profile metallic carrier 1 comprises two concave elements A substantially identical and arranged in an orientation approximately 180 ° different from each other to the other and in the longitudinal direction Z of the profile 1.
- the profile 1 comprises two hollow elements A, arranged head to tail (and / or) with their concavities facing each other.
- the assembly of two elements A defines an at least partial formwork the profile 1- and thus delimits a longitudinal cavity 13.
- each element A is substantially in the shape of a "U", and two nested elements have symmetry with respect to a longitudinal axis median Z '.
- this axis Z ' is parallel to Z.
- each element A has on the one hand - that is to say at the level of one of its ends along Y- a section in the XY plane, in the shape of a tenon of mortise.
- said end section defines a central cylindrical groove which constitutes the recess 2 explained above.
- the profiles 1 or 1 ′ exert a depending on the drainage of condensation water in particular. So they act as collectors. Thus, mainly under the effect of gravity (when the direction longitudinal forms a chosen angle with respect to the horizontal), rainwater, condensation, etc., can be removed from the arrangement in which the profile is integrated 1.
- two lateral drainage gutters 51 and 52 are each arranged with so that the central groove is separated from it by a bearing surface 14.
- the Y axis has an inclination or slope of a few degrees.
- each element A has formations parallel to said direction, of which at least two define nesting means with and / or positioning compared to the other element.
- each element A is laterally provided with a skirt and a sidewall.
- a side skirt 71 comprises a wall substantially parallel to the plane YZ, which extends from the gutter 51. At the end of this wall, and therefore opposite the gutter 51, the skirt 71 defines two bends at right angles. The first of these elbows defines a plane 715 which extends towards the interior of the cavity 13. The second bend orients the skirt 71 again parallel to XY.
- the blank 72 of the same element A forms a wall generally parallel to 71, but extending from the other gutter 52.
- a side skirt and sidewall extend respectively in projection of a gutter, perpendicular to said surfaces.
- skirt 71 can cooperate with the blank 72 and with the convex - and therefore internal - face of the gutter 52 of the other element A. More precisely, plan 715 comes to rest against the formation that constitutes the reverse side of the gutter 52.
- internal projections (51, 52) are therefore capable of forming stops for the base of the profile in metal, in order to locate it along Y.
- skirts and blanks 71, 72 are capable of immobilizing or positioning the metal profile 1 along X.
- each element A is arranged to allow a adjustment and / or expansion of relative position of the assembled elements, at least in a direction parallel to the side 72 of the other element A, that is to say along Y.
- the skirt 71 is also able to cooperate with the sidewall 72 of the other element, in particular to allow their fixing, when a relative position of the two elements A is obtained.
- An effective way to mutually fix two elements A to form a profile 1, consists in carrying out a continuous weld such as those which are designated at 9 in the figures.
- a release towards the interior of the profile is provided on the skirts 71 of the elements A.
- the thickness of this clearance along X corresponds substantially to that of the blank 72 of the other element, so that the latter and the skirt 71 are flush.
- the weld 9 is preferably performed at this clearance.
- one or more of the external surfaces of said profile 1 can be at least partially coated with a layer 5 of base material cellulosic, and for example of wood.
- the interior of the profile 1 which defines the cavity 13, is filled with a inert material 6, such as plaster or the like.
- This filling 6 can either be obtained by placing in the cavity 13 a pre-formed part, either as here by casting of a fluid and solidifying material. It is then easy to completely drown or fill at least partially inside the profile.
- the above-mentioned layer 5 of cellulosic material, and / or the filling 6 have preference undergone a flame retardant treatment, such as absorption of inert salts by heating in a autoclave.
- Flame retardant treatment techniques are varied and known to man art. Also, depending on the materials chosen, appropriate treatments can easily be determined by a person skilled in the art. Their full description is therefore superfluous here.
- any arrangement such as canopy or the like, with a support structure or support, a frame mounted on this structure and one or more panels 40, for example glazed integral with said frame, is also in the fields of this invention, if it comprises at least one profile 1 as described and illustrated here.
- assembly systems 100 which allow to join two or more profiled beams 1, 1 ', etc.
- Each system 100 has a finger 150 mounted on a profile 1 'and intended to be housed in a corresponding orifice, formed in a wall of another profile 1. More precisely, the system 100 has a sleeve for supporting the finger 115, capable of being housed in the cavity 13 of the 1 'profile.
- This socket which is arranged near the interior of the groove 2 and the surface 14 is fixed by a screw 114, on the profile which supports it, and according to the longitudinal direction of the latter. It is therefore possible to mount four systems connecting 100 at each longitudinal end of a profile.
- the end of the beam 1 ' is cut according to a corresponding shape generally to that of the lateral edge of the beam 1, in the XY plane.
- This cut therefore comprises a flat face opposite the skirt and blank (71, 72) of the profile 1, and a beveled projection near the panel 40.
- the underside of this bevel rests on an edge of the profile 1, defined by the groove 51.
- a clearance along X is formed between profiles 1 and 1 ', to allow their expansion.
