Falls das Kunststoffmaterial für spezielle Belastungen des Tragbügels nicht die ausreichende Stabilität aufweisen sollte, kann in bevorzugter Weiterbildung der Erfindung vorgesehen sein, daß der Kunststoff des Tragbügels zumindest abschnittsweise faserverstärkt ist. Dabei finden in der Regel Glasfasern Verwendung. Damit ist der weitere Vorteil verbunden, daß die Faserverstärkung an die im Bügel aufzunehmenden Belastungen angepaßt werden kann, so daß ein Tragbügel mit Bereichen verschiedener Stabilität geschaffen werden kann.This object is achieved in a paint roller of the type mentioned in that the bracket is made of plastic and is locked to the paint roller. Aus diesem Grunde ist in vorteilhafter Weiterbildung der Erfindung vorgesehen, daß der Querschnitt des Tragbügels von seinem vorderen Ende zum Handgriff hin kontinuierlich oder zumindest abschnittsweise zunimmt. Eine derartige Ausgestaltung ist günstig hinsichtlich der Aufnahme von auftretenden Biegemomenten.
