Abstract

1489843 Paint rollers LENG-ARMAC Ltd 10 May 1976 [13 June 1975] 25427/75 Heading B2L A paint roller comprises a rod 1 and a cylinder 2 which carries externally material 9 absorbent of paint, the cylinder being closed by end-plates 8 each of which has a central aperture of diameter greater than that of rod 1, the rod being formed with a projection 7, part of the rod within the cylinder and extending to an end of the rod being bent to lie along an axis at an angle to that of the rest of the rod within the cylinder and being machined to a surface which is a geometrical projection of the surface of the rest of the rod within the cylinder, apart from a short length of rod adjacent its end so as to form a shoulder, the cylinder with its end plates being retained between the shoulder and projection 7 so as to be free to rotate relative to the rod. A cylinder 10 integral with end plates 8 serves to facilitate rotation of cylinder 2 about rod 1; a handle (not shown) is attached to end 3 of rod 1.
