Bei Küchengeräten, bei denen die Abdeckplatte vornehmlich als Abstell- und Arbeitsfläche dient, wird mit dem nach unten gezogenen Kantenschutz das Ziel verfolgt, den Spalt zwischen der Platte und dem Gerätegehäuse abzudecken.
