Description

The invention relates to a thread separating and tensioning device for double-piece weaving machines, in particular for carpet and velvet weaving machines.

In the case of a triple rapier weaving machine for carpet and velvet, it is expedient to first insert a weft thread into the upper fabric and two weft threads into the lower fabric at the same time, and then insert two weft threads into the upper fabric and one weft thread into the lower fabric. This is the case if you want to obtain a three-weft fabric in two working cycles or two passes of the weaving machine. For a known two-weft fabric, it is useful, for example, to insert no weft thread into the upper fabric and two weft threads into the lower fabric at the same time, and then to insert two weft threads into the upper fabric and no weft thread into the lower fabric. In this method known from EP-A-0 576 990, the upper or the lower weft insertion device is switched off in any case.

In this known method, for a first weft, the compartment is formed with the basic warp thread course for a single or no insertion into the upper fabric and a double insertion into the lower fabric, and for a second weft the basic warp thread course is created for a double weft insertion into the upper fabric and a single one or no weft insertion is formed in the lower tissue.

From this formation of the warp thread course for both cases it can be concluded that the binding chain for a first weft, for example, must form a small compartment opening for a gripper and for the second weft must form a large or double compartment opening for two grippers. Furthermore, the bisectors of these small and large shed openings do not match, so that this separation roller arrangement is not sufficient to bring the binding warp thread layers to the same tension. One layer is tensioned, the other sags so that weaving becomes impossible.

For a first weft cycle, the halving plane of the binding warp thread levels for the upper fabric runs from the fabric edge until it makes contact above the upper separating roller. For the lower fabric, for the second weft, the bisecting plane of the binding warp thread levels extends from the fabric edge until it is far below the first separating roller. A similar arrangement can be achieved for the lower tissue.

Jede Reihe von Grundbindungs-Kettfäden ist in einen ersten Satz und einen zweiten Satz aufgeteilt, welche Sätze sich jeweils zwischen den Führungsrollen und der Anschlagstelle der Gewebestücke kreuzen, um zwei übereinander liegende Grund-Webfächer zu bilden.FR-A-1.571.226 discloses a double piece weaving machine in which warp threads of a basic warp beam after passing by coating rolls by means of guide or dividing rolls into a first row of binding warp threads for the upper fabric and a second row of binding warp threads for the lower fabric be divided. Each row of basic weave warp threads is divided into a first set and a second set, which sets cross each other between the guide rollers and the attachment point of the fabric pieces to form two superimposed basic weaving shed.

It is the object of the present invention to provide an apparatus and a method for obtaining virtually the same binding warp thread tension, preferably the same, in the upper and lower binding warp thread layers.

According to the present invention, this object is achieved by the thread separating and tensioning device of claim 1 and the method for weaving a double-piece fabric according to claim 8.

The first set of separation rolls for a fabric is preferably attached to a system that is rotatably mounted with respect to a holder that supports the first set of separation rolls for the aforementioned fabric. For example, for the top fabric and the bottom fabric being woven, the two sets of separation rolls for the top fabric and the bottom fabric are attached to separate systems, the system for the second set of separation rolls for the top fabric with respect to a holder of a first set of separation rolls of binding warp threads of the upper fabric is rotatable, and the system for the second set of separating rollers for the lower fabric is rotatable with respect to a holder of a first set of separating rollers of binding warp threads of the lower fabric.

According to one embodiment, the system for a fabric comprises an element which is rotatable with respect to the first set of separating rollers about an axis which extends between the second rollers of the second set, preferably in the center between the two rollers.

According to a further embodiment, the system for a fabric comprises an element which carries the second set of separating rollers for the binding warp threads of this fabric, and an arm to which the element is attached so that it is rotatable with respect to the holder of a first set of separating rollers .

The arm is preferably pivotally attached to the holder, which is adjustably attached to a part for adjusting the pile height to be woven and the lifting height of the binding warp threads.

The invention further relates to a double-piece weaving machine which is equipped with a device according to the invention in order to obtain virtually the same, and preferably the same, binding warp thread tension in the upper and lower binding warp yarns. In particular, the weaving machine has three grippers lying one above the other.

The device comprises:
  • for the upper fabric a first set of separation rollers 2A, which separate the binding warp threads 3, 4 from the tension chain, and
  • a second set of separating rollers 5A, 5B for the binding warp threads alone, the binding warp threads crossing between the rollers 5A, 5B of the second set, and
  • for the lower fabric a first set of separating rollers 6A, 6B, the separating rollers 6B separating the binding warp threads 7, 8 from the tension chain, and a second set of separating rollers 9A, 9B for the binding warp threads alone, the binding warp threads 7, 8 being between the rollers Cross 9A, 9B of the second set.

The binding warp threads run first on the first set and then on the second set before they are woven.

The second set of separation rollers 5A, 5B; 9A, 9B is attached to a system 10, which with respect to the holder 11, which the first set of separation rollers 2A, 2B; 6A, 6B, is rotatable.

System 10 includes:
  • an element or a spacer element 18, on which two parallel tubes or rods 5A, 5B are rotatably or otherwise fixed,
  • an arm or a connecting rod 13 on which the spacer element 18 is rotatably fixed in the center M between the tubes 5A, 5B,
  • a connector 14 on which the arm or the connecting rod 13 is rotatably fixed, and
  • a common holder 11 of the two sets of separating rollers, which is adjustable in height for adjusting the pile height to be woven and the lifting height of the base warp threads.

The tubes 5A, 5B are preferably attached to an element or spacer 18 at both ends. These tubes form a cross bar 120, between which the binding warp threads are cross.

The common holder 11 of the two sets of separation rolls of the binding warp threads of a fabric can be moved along a rod 16 (arrow X) to adjust the pile height, the rod 16 being fixed to the frame 17 of the device.

Due to the fact that the connecting rods 13 are rotatably attached to the connecting part 14, the cross rods 120 can pivot together under the influence of a pulling force of the binding warp threads for each subsequent position of the binding warp threads in the direction of the variable bisecting plane V of the binding warp thread planes. The difference in length between the upper and the lower binding warp thread layer is received by the rotation of the cross bars around the center point between them on the spacer element, which is rotatable on the connecting rod. In this way, the same binding warp thread tension is obtained in the upper and lower binding warp layer.

With this device it is perfectly possible to weave with three overlapping grippers, and in the case where different binding chain compartments are formed in the successive weft insertion cycles.

Die Figur 4 zeigt den Grundkettfadenverlauf in dem Falle eines ersten Schusses einer Doppelstück-Webmaschine mit drei Greifern.FIG. 4 shows the basic warp thread course in the case of a first weft of a double-piece weaving machine with three hooks.

This weaving machine comprises a device according to FIG. 1 with shed forming means or weaving frames 20, 21, which bring the tension warp threads 22A, 22B into the required position for forming the shed (up or down), and weaving frames 23, 24, 25, 26, which the Binding warp threads of the upper fabric or Bring the lower fabric into the required position to form the shed for simultaneous weft insertion in three compartments.

In Figur 4 ist das Fach 27 zwischen den Bindekettfäden 3, 4 (Obergewebe B) mit einer Greiferstange zum Einbringen eines einzigen Schusses eines Schußkettfadens mit einer Greiferstange 28 gezeigt, wogegen das Fach 29 des Untergewebes O zur Doppelschußeinbringung mit Greiferstangen 30 und 31 gebildet ist.FIG. 4 shows the compartment 27 between the binding warp threads 3, 4 (upper fabric B) with a looper bar for introducing a single weft of a weft warp with a looper bar 28, whereas the compartment 29 of the lower fabric O for double weft insertion is formed with looper bars 30 and 31.

In FIG. 5 (second shot), the compartment 27 for double-shot insertion is formed with the gripper rods 28, 30, whereas the compartment 29 is designed for single-shot insertion.

Between the weft 1 and the weft 2, the weaving frames 20 move downward for the upper fabric B (movement of the tension warp threads 22 downwards) and the weaving frame 24 moves downwards in order to enlarge the compartment 27 in such a way that two weft threads with the looper rods 28, 30 can be introduced.

The binding warp threads 4 are thus pulled down while the set of crossbars pivots in the direction of the bisecting plane and the crossbars pivot about their center (P) to accommodate the difference in length between the upper and lower binding warp thread layers.

    b) The division of the binding warp threads of the top fabric and the bottom fabric separated in step a) from the tensioning warp threads, each time into two different sets of binding warp threads by means of the second set of separating rollers (5a, 5B, 9A, 9B) concerned, for the top fabric and for the bottom fabric,
the binding warp threads for the top fabric and for the bottom fabric each time having been divided into two sets by the second set of separating rollers (5A, 5B, 9A, 9B) each time assigned to them, such that the binding warp threads of the two sets concerned cross each other between the rollers of the second set of separating rollers (5A, 5B, 9A, 9B) assigned to them each time.
