Definitions
- the invention relates to a base plate of a ski binding with a sliding element inserted therein.
- a generic base plate is also known from DE 39 18 922 A, in which a laterally displaceable tread plate arrangement is provided which can be freely rolled laterally on a roller plate attached to the ski surface, the roller plate having support rollers arranged next to one another.
- the object of the invention is therefore to develop a generic ski binding base plate in such a way that the friction on the ski remains as constant as possible when the boot is released laterally.
- the sliding element consists of a rocker pivotally mounted in the base plate, which has at least one, preferably two in the unloaded state protruding elevations or elevations.
- the rocker is mounted in the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the plate.
- the sliding element designed as a rocker consists of a middle part and two end parts having the respective elevations. At least one support arm runs to the side and parallel to the central part and is connected to the central part via a pin. Conveniently the sliding element consists of an injection molded part.
- a support arm can be arranged on each side of the middle part.
- the pins connecting the support arms to the central part of the sliding element can be received in corresponding recesses provided in the base plate.
- the support arms can be tapered from the pins to their respective ends.
- the bevels of the arms converge in the region of the pins and form an edge along which the rocker-like sliding element can tilt laterally.
- Corresponding contact surfaces or system areas can be provided in the base plate, which cooperate with the beveled support arms in such a way that a defined pivoting movement of the sliding element takes place when one of the protrusions protruding beyond the base plate is subjected to a greater load than the other elevation.
- the support arms can first have a flat contact surface when viewed from the pegs and can then be beveled towards their respective ends.
- a defined pivoting movement of the sliding element takes place when one of the elevations projecting beyond the base plate is subjected to a greater load after corresponding lateral displacement of the shoe than the other survey.
- the shoe must first be shifted laterally by a certain amount before the rocker-like sliding element is pivoted.
- Another alternative embodiment of the invention consists in that only one support arm is provided in such a way that an additional degree of freedom is formed in the longitudinal direction of the base plate. This enables the elevations to be pressed in not only when the shoe is laterally displaced, but also when the shoe contact forces are shifted in the longitudinal direction of the ski. In order to ensure the corresponding mobility of the sliding element, it can additionally be held in a rubber-elastic bearing in the region of the pin inserted into the recess in the base plate.
- the front jaws 10 of a ski binding with a base plate 12 and a mounted sliding element 14 are shown schematically in FIG. In principle, this could also be a base plate with a heel holder.
- the sliding element 14 is provided as an injection molded part which can be inserted into the base plate.
- the structure of the sliding element 14 results in principle from FIGS. 4 to 8, in which a first embodiment of this sliding element 14 is shown.
- the sliding element 14 consists of a middle part 22 and two end parts 24 adjoining this.
- the end parts 24 have a round cross-section and have spherical cap-shaped elevations 26, as shown in particular in FIG.
- Support arms 30 extending laterally parallel to the central part 22 are arranged via pins 28. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 to 8, the support arms are chamfered towards their respective ends as seen from the pins (see FIGS. 5 and 8).
- the beveled surfaces meet in the region of the pin 28 and form a tilting edge 32.
- the slide element 14 is placed with its pin 28 in corresponding recesses 18 (see FIG. 2) of the base plate 12.
- the rocker-like sliding element 14 can be pivoted about the correspondingly mounted pins 28 until it is attached to corresponding contact webs 20 by means of its laterally attached arms 30 are provided in the base plate 12 (see FIG. 2).
- the interplay between the arms 30 and the contact areas 20 is coordinated such that after pivoting the rocker-like sliding element 14, the arm 30 bears against the support area 20 when the elevation 26 no longer projects beyond the base plate.
- the sliding element 14 can be supported with the tips of the supporting arms 30 on a flat base surface (for example the ski), and against the material elasticity of the supporting arms 30, for example injection molded plastic, be pivoted.
- the lower support surfaces 34 of the sliding element 14 are beveled towards their outer ends so that they can pivot relative to a flat surface (see FIG. 5).
- FIGS. 9 and 10 An alternative embodiment of the sliding element 14 is shown in FIGS. 9 and 10.
- This embodiment differs from the previously explained embodiment only in a different shape of the support arms 30. These each have flat contact surfaces 36 in the region of the pins 28, which are beveled towards the ends, as can be seen from FIG. 9. This results in two tilting edges 38. These corresponding surfaces then correspond to corresponding shapes within the base plate 12 (not shown here). This means that the flat contact surface 36 abuts a corresponding contact area within the base plate 12 and that corresponding contact webs 20 are provided for the sloping end areas of the arms 30.
- a defined pivoting movement of the sliding element only takes place when the shoe has already been laterally deflected by a certain amount is. This amount of deflection, from which a corresponding pivoting takes place, can be set so that it corresponds to the release of the lateral jaws of the ski binding.
- the sliding element 14 can advantageously be designed as an injection molded part, and it can be made correspondingly hollow, as shown in FIG. 7, which shows a perspective view from below.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a base plate of a ski binding with a sliding element inserted therein.
Various ski bindings are already known which are intended to keep the friction on the ski that occurs when the boot is released as constant as possible. For this purpose, it is proposed, for example in DE 25 49 203 A, that a sliding plate rests displaceably on a supporting plate, only a linear contact being provided by ribs between the sliding plate and supporting plate, and the sliding plate being held on the supporting plate by a rubber band.
A generic base plate is also known from DE 39 18 922 A, in which a laterally displaceable tread plate arrangement is provided which can be freely rolled laterally on a roller plate attached to the ski surface, the roller plate having support rollers arranged next to one another.
These previously known solutions therefore always assume that there is also a sliding element which is displaceable in relation to the base plate and on which the shoe rests. With this solution principle there is the problem that the displaceability of the transversely movable support element can be impaired by icing or soiling. In addition, these embodiments are comparatively complex.
The object of the invention is therefore to develop a generic ski binding base plate in such a way that the friction on the ski remains as constant as possible when the boot is released laterally.
Starting from the generic ski binding base plate, this object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. Accordingly, the sliding element consists of a rocker pivotally mounted in the base plate, which has at least one, preferably two in the unloaded state protruding elevations or elevations. The rocker is mounted in the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the plate. When the shoe is inserted into the binding, the sole of the shoe rests evenly on both protrusions protruding beyond the base plate. If forces now arise during skiing that move the shoe laterally relative to the base plate and can possibly lead to release by the side parts of the toe, a shift in the contact pressure follows over the sole of the shoe, so that the elevation, to which a higher force acts , is pressed into the base plate, which results in a reduction in the friction between the sole of the shoe and the base plate in this area during the lateral release.
According to a preferred embodiment, the sliding element designed as a rocker consists of a middle part and two end parts having the respective elevations. At least one support arm runs to the side and parallel to the central part and is connected to the central part via a pin. Conveniently the sliding element consists of an injection molded part.
According to one embodiment, a support arm can be arranged on each side of the middle part. The pins connecting the support arms to the central part of the sliding element can be received in corresponding recesses provided in the base plate.
The support arms can be tapered from the pins to their respective ends. In this embodiment, the bevels of the arms converge in the region of the pins and form an edge along which the rocker-like sliding element can tilt laterally. Corresponding contact surfaces or system areas can be provided in the base plate, which cooperate with the beveled support arms in such a way that a defined pivoting movement of the sliding element takes place when one of the protrusions protruding beyond the base plate is subjected to a greater load than the other elevation.
According to an alternative embodiment, the support arms can first have a flat contact surface when viewed from the pegs and can then be beveled towards their respective ends. Here, there is no tipping edge in the region of the pegs, as in the previously illustrated embodiment. Rather, two tipping edges are created here along the butt lines between the flat contact surface and the bevels adjoining this. In cooperation with the contact surfaces or contact areas optionally provided in the base plate, which cooperate with the bevelled support arms, a defined pivoting movement of the sliding element takes place when one of the elevations projecting beyond the base plate is subjected to a greater load after corresponding lateral displacement of the shoe than the other survey. The difference to the embodiment shown here, the shoe must first be shifted laterally by a certain amount before the rocker-like sliding element is pivoted.
Another alternative embodiment of the invention consists in that only one support arm is provided in such a way that an additional degree of freedom is formed in the longitudinal direction of the base plate.
For the sliding element that can be used in the front jaws designed according to the invention, isolated protection is claimed.

The
The
Figur 5).As an alternative to the interaction between the
An alternative embodiment of the sliding
The sliding
