Definitions
- the invention relates to a ski boot according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a ski boot with a device for controlling the bending stiffness of the shaft is known for example from EP-A2 0 350 023.
- the spacer is guided in a slot which widens upward in a V-shape.
- the spacer is held at a certain height by pressing the spacer, shoe shell, shaft and a washer attached to the outside of the shaft.
- the height of the spacer is adjusted by releasing this pressure in a first embodiment using a screw, in a second embodiment using an eccentric lever and then restoring it.
- the holder of the spacer is provided with a bore with an internal thread. The spacer can thus be moved along a vertically running spindle.
- the known solutions In the known solutions, a stepless adjustment of the flex behavior of the ski boot is possible, but the setting values are not defined and it is difficult for the skier to reach a certain setting value again.
- the known devices are complex to manufacture and to handle.
- the solution with the spindle also has the disadvantage that the spindle undesirably stiffens the shoe upper and that the device stops working if the spindle bends due to the high forces acting on a ski boot.
- the slot shape is unfavorable in the known solution.
- the invention has set itself the goal of making the device simple in construction and nevertheless robust in a ski boot of the type mentioned.
- the spacer is slidably articulated on the load arm of a crank, the axis of rotation of which is fixed in the shaft of the ski boot and the power arm is designed as an actuator or carries such, the device manages with a small number of components.
- the solution according to the invention is robust since it does not contain long spindles or levers.
- the presentation and walking movement of the skier is opposed even less resistance.
- a particularly large difference in the flex behavior of the ski boot is achieved between the two positions of the device.
- FIG. 1 shows the ski boot according to the invention obliquely from behind
- FIGS. 2 and 3 show the device for controlling the bending stiffness in the position with low bending stiffness or in the position with high bending stiffness, viewed from the inside of the shoe, on a larger scale
- FIG. 4 a section along the line IV-IV in Fig. 2
- Fig. 5 shows a second embodiment in a view similar to FIG. 2.
- a ski boot 1 is shown viewed from the rear. It essentially comprises a shell 2 and a shaft 3 rotatably articulated thereon.
- the shaft 3 and shell 2 can be closed in a known manner by means of buckles, only the buckles 4 of the shaft 3 being visible in FIG.
- the shell 2 consists of a lower shell part 5 enclosing the foot and a raised shell part 6 enclosing the lower region of the lower leg.
- a slot 8 is provided on the rear side 7 thereof. The slot 8 runs approximately vertically, that is along the imaginary cutting line of the raised shell part 6 with the plane of symmetry of the ski boot and is open at the top.
- the two side edges 9a, 9b of the slot 8 run approximately parallel to one another. They each have a first section 10a, 10b, which is closer to the open end of the slot 8, and a second section 11a, 11b closer to the closed end of the slot 8.
- a housing 18 is arranged, in which a device, designated as a whole by 19, for controlling the bending stiffness of the shaft 3 (further: device) is accommodated.
- the device 19 is essentially formed by a spacer 12 and by a crank 14, as will be described in more detail below.
- the spacer 12 is rectangular and is slidably guided on the two side edges 9a, 9b of the slot 8 in the height direction.
- the spacer 12 carries in its upper half an outwardly directed pin 13 toward the shaft 3.
- an exemption serving as a guide for example a groove 23, is excluded.
- the crank 14 has an axis of rotation 17 which passes through the housing 18 and the shaft 3 of the ski boot 1 (see FIG. 14).
- the force arm 20 of the crank 14 is attached to the outer end section of the axis of rotation 17 and the load arm 15 of the crank 14 is attached to the inner end section of the axis of rotation 17, with the force arm 20 and load arm 15 having the axis of rotation 17 of the crank 14 are non-rotatably connected.
- Such eye designs are well known in ski boots with various adjustment mechanisms, for example flex adjustment, canting, and therefore do not require any further discussion.
- the load arm 15 of the crank 14 is designed as a tab which has an elongated hole 16 which is penetrated by the pin 13 of the spacer 12. Characterized in that the pin protrudes into the groove 23 of the housing 18, the spacer 12 receives a guide relative to the shaft 3 of the ski boot 1.
- the spacer 12 is shown in its lower position. It touches the side edges 9a, 9b of the slot 8 at their lower, that is to say second, sections 11a, 11b.
- the first sections 10a, 10b are free and can move freely to one another when the raised shell part 6 is loaded by the shaft 3, that is to say when the skier assumes a template position or bends the foot while walking.
- the crank 14 By turning the power arm 20 of the crank 14 by means of the actuating member 22, the crank 14 is pivoted into the position shown in FIG. 3.
- the device 19 is in its activated position, in which the spacer 12 is in its upper position. It touches the side edges 9a, 9b of the slot 8 at their first sections 10a, 10b, which thus cannot move towards one another when loaded. As a result, an increased resistance is opposed to a forward movement of the skier.
- stops 24, 25 are attached to the outside of the shaft 3, which limit two positions of the actuating member 22 and thus define two positions of the spacer 12 in the slot 8.
- FIG. 5 A second embodiment of the ski boot according to the invention is shown in FIG. 5. This differs from the first embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4 in that the slot 8 'is widened in its lower section. Its side edges 9'a, 9'b subsequently have second (lower) sections 11'a, 11'b, which run approximately parallel to one another and have first (upper) sections 10'a, 10'b via offsets which run outwards are urn-shaped bulge. As a result, the spacer 12 'in its lower position does not abut the side edges 9'a, 9'b and the skier's forward or walking movement is opposed even less resistance than in the first embodiment.
- the spacer 12 ' carries in its lower half an outwardly projecting pin 26' which runs parallel to the pin 13 '.
- This pin 26 ' serves to center the spacer 12' when it is located between the lower sections 11'a, 11'b, and acts with a corresponding groove or recess on the inside of the shaft 3 or, as in this exemplary embodiment, in Housing 18 together with the groove 23 also provided for the pin 13 '.
- the spacer can be not only rectangular, but circular, oval or rectangular with attached circular segments.
- the actuating member can also be formed in one piece with the power arm, in particular when the rear section of the shaft of the ski boot is designed to run in a plane on which the portion of the handle acting as a power arm rests.
- corresponding recesses could also be provided in the shaft, in which a spring-loaded catch, if appropriate, can optionally and, as is known, snap into place.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a ski boot according to the preamble of
Such a ski boot with a device for controlling the bending stiffness of the shaft is known for example from EP-A2 0 350 023. In this known solution, the spacer is guided in a slot which widens upward in a V-shape. The spacer is held at a certain height by pressing the spacer, shoe shell, shaft and a washer attached to the outside of the shaft. The height of the spacer is adjusted by releasing this pressure in a first embodiment using a screw, in a second embodiment using an eccentric lever and then restoring it.
In a further embodiment, the holder of the spacer is provided with a bore with an internal thread. The spacer can thus be moved along a vertically running spindle.
In the known solutions, a stepless adjustment of the flex behavior of the ski boot is possible, but the setting values are not defined and it is difficult for the skier to reach a certain setting value again. The known devices are complex to manufacture and to handle. The solution with the spindle also has the disadvantage that the spindle undesirably stiffens the shoe upper and that the device stops working if the spindle bends due to the high forces acting on a ski boot. In addition, the slot shape is unfavorable in the known solution.
In contrast, the invention has set itself the goal of making the device simple in construction and nevertheless robust in a ski boot of the type mentioned.
This is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of
According to the features of
As mentioned at the beginning, it is disadvantageous in the previously known solutions that the setting values are not defined. This is remedied by the solution according to
According to another embodiment, according to the features of
Further advantages, features and details of the invention will now be described with reference to the drawing. 1 shows the ski boot according to the invention obliquely from behind, FIGS. 2 and 3 show the device for controlling the bending stiffness in the position with low bending stiffness or in the position with high bending stiffness, viewed from the inside of the shoe, on a larger scale, FIG. 4 a section along the line IV-IV in Fig. 2 and Fig. 5 shows a second embodiment in a view similar to FIG. 2.
In Fig. 1 a
Fig.14). In the
In this embodiment,
A second embodiment of the ski boot according to the invention is shown in FIG.
In Fig. 5 it can also be seen that the spacer 12 'carries in its lower half an outwardly projecting pin 26' which runs parallel to the pin 13 '. This pin 26 'serves to center the spacer 12' when it is located between the lower sections 11'a, 11'b, and acts with a corresponding groove or recess on the inside of the
The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiments shown and described. There are other variants that are well within the scope of the invention. For example, the spacer can be not only rectangular, but circular, oval or rectangular with attached circular segments. The actuating member can also be formed in one piece with the power arm, in particular when the rear section of the shaft of the ski boot is designed to run in a plane on which the portion of the handle acting as a power arm rests. Instead of stops for fixing the two positions of the actuating member, corresponding recesses could also be provided in the shaft, in which a spring-loaded catch, if appropriate, can optionally and, as is known, snap into place.
