Definitions
- the invention relates to a profiled blade for curtain closure as well as a curtain closure corresponding.
- Document FR-A-2 687 724 describes a profiled blade monobloc for curtain closure, according to the preamble of claim 1, of cross section substantially trapezoidal having a housing adjacent to the small base and to a first side of said section and a rod in rigid material connected to the corner of the small base and on the second side by a hinge band in flexible and inextensible material of substantially width equal to the difference in width of the large base and the small base.
- Document DE-U-8706209 describes a curtain of blades assemblies each formed of several modules, each of substantially hexagonal cross section, connected between them by a flexible joint band and inextensible. This strip is located substantially at the corner on two adjacent sides of each module, parallel to and set aside on the side intended to come into contact with a slide. The side of the blade in contact with the slide is subjected to permanent friction during its sliding.
- the object of the invention is to improve the blades profiled, by proposing a blade subject to a minimum of friction when it slides open or closure and in which the articulation band is not not subject to wear during these repeated operations, but only subject to tensile stress or bending compatible with long-term operation.
- the invention provides a profiled blade monobloc for curtain closure, intended to be mounted transversely, at least one free end in at minus a slide to be guided by it and slide therein, having at least one section substantially trapezoidal transverse straight, of the type comprising on at least one of its sides a flexible strip and inextensible articulation, coextruded with the material rigid blade and a connecting rod, characterized in that each articulation band is located between the bases of the section and in a position away from the small base and in that the small base has a profile curved, so that it slides in the slide substantially on one or two generators.
- the small base has a curved profile with convexity facing the inside of the blade section so as to slide in the slide substantially on two generators to each section, corresponding to the angles limiting the small base of each section with its sides.
- the small base has a curved profile with convexity facing the outside of the blade section, so that slide in the slide substantially on a generator located in the middle of the small based.
- Each strip is located substantially in the middle of the side connecting the two bases.
- the connecting rod is intended to slide with play in a housing of an adjacent blade for assembling the curtain, and the appendage of the connecting rod is adapted to a opening of the corresponding housing so as to avoid any stretching of the curtain under tension.
- the large base of the blade has a rib on its internal face longitudinal towards the inside of the section of blade.
- it may have on its external face a groove located opposite said rib.
- the blade has a rib on a on its sides and a groove of complementary shape on a other side.
- This rib and this groove have a play on the side of the small base.
- the blade has at least two sections each substantially trapezoidal coextruded with one (or more) strip of articulation between them.
- the invention also relates to a curtain of closure made by assembling blades according to the invention.
- the blades being assembled to each other and following the others by cooperation of a rod in a housing, the curtain being mounted transversely to at least a free end of the blades in at least one slide to be guided by it and slide in it.
- the strips are separated from the two banks of the slide.
- a slide has at least one bent part having a contour in the shape of a circular portion.
- the edge of the smaller radius bent part cooperates with the small base while the shore more large radius cooperates with the large base.
- a profiled blade 1 for curtain closure has a hollow cross section and substantially trapezoidal or pseudo-trapezoidal in rigid material, by plastic example of the polychloride type vinyl.
- Such a blade is intended for making a curtain 17 for closing, opening a piece of furniture or the like analogous application.
- the blades 1 are assembled to each other and following others.
- Such blades 1 are intended to be mounted transversely, at least one free end (and usually at both free ends) in at least one slide 18 to be guided by it and slide in this one.
- the blade section has a large base 2 located on the visible side of the curtain when mounted and closed and a small base 3, connected to each other by a first side 4 and a second side 5.
- the large base 2 is substantially flat and has on its internal face 2c a longitudinal rib 6 directed inward of the blade section 1.
- the rib 6 provides a stiffening effect on the blade body.
- the large base 2 has at in addition, on its external face 2d, visible when the curtain is mounted and closed, a groove 7 of shape complementary to the rib 6, intended to improve the characteristics blade aesthetics 1.
- the small base 3 has a convex profile turned towards the inside of the blade so as to define two generators 8 and 9 corresponding to the limiting angles the small base 3 with sides 4 and 5 respectively. These angles are preferably rounded with turned concavity inward of the blade section.
- the generators 8 and 9 form the contact lines of the blade with the slide 18. Sliding only on two generators 8 and 9 greatly reduces the friction opposing the sliding of the blade curtain in the slide (s) 18.
- the small base 3 could have a profile to concavity turned towards the interior of the section of the blade. The small base would then have only one contact line with the slide, located in the median of the small base 3.
- the first side 4 has, inside the section, a circular housing 10 having an opening 11 opening into the first side 4 and having a direction substantially parallel to the bases 2, 3.
- the housing 10 and the opening 11 are intended to receive a rod of material rigid as described below.
- the first side 4 also comprises towards the large base 2 a recessed groove 12 substantially adjoining the housing 10 allowing the cooperation of a rib complementary, as described below.
- the second side 5 has a directed appendage 13 outward from the blade section and to which is connected a strip of flexible material and substantially inextensible 14 coextruded with the body of the blade and the opposite end of which is connected a rod 15 in rigid material, preferably identical to the material in which is made the blade.
- the rod 15 is connected to the strip 14 by an appendage 15a of dimensions substantially equal to those of Appendix 13 and of width transverse slightly higher than that of the strip (the transverse width being counted in the direction perpendicular to the bases 2, 3).
- the length of the strip 14 is substantially equal to a quarter of the difference between the length of large base 2 and that of small base 3 (lengths counted in the plan of figure 1).
- the housing 10 and the appendix 13 are separated from the small base 3 as well as large base 2 and are located in the middle of sides 4 and 5.
- the second side 5 also comprises towards the large base 2 and near the appendage 13 a rib 16 projecting outwards from the section of blade and located approximately the same distance from the large base 2 as the groove 12.
- This rib 16 is intended for fit in a groove 12 of an adjacent blade, when a first blade is associated with an adjacent blade by inserting the rod 15 of the first blade in the housing 10 and the opening 11 of the second blade, way to form a curtain, and when the curtain is closed, the large bases 2 of the successive blades being then substantially coplanar.
- the adaptation of the rib 16 in the groove 12 thanks to their complementary shapes prevents insertion from the outside of the blades and large bases 2 of a sharp instrument capable of cut or break the strip 14. It allows the setting support of the contour 16a of the rib 16 on the contour 12a of the groove 12 which ensures good flatness of the face visible from the curtain made, the large bases 2 of the slats successive being coplanar.
- Sides 4 and 5 respectively have two sections, namely a first adjoining section 4a, 5a and substantially perpendicular to the large base 2 and a second section 4b, 5b adjoining the small base 3 while being tilted on it with an obtuse angle.
- the two sections of each pair of sections 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b are separated one on the other by the groove 12 and the housing 10 on the one hand, the rib 16, and the appendix 13 on the other hand.
- the sections of the rod 15 and of the housing 10 are of complementary shapes and have dimensions determined with sufficient clearance for the mounting the rod 15 can slide in the housing 10 of so that the closing curtain can be assembled in inclined position substantially in the shape of a parallelogram then straightening the curtain to put it in place without risk of jamming in a guide rail 18.
- appendix 15a and the opening 11 are provided so that appendage 15a of a blade is housed in the opening 11 of the neighboring blade, without play excessive substantial to ensure that the pulling curtain when opening and closing does not produce no lateral play resulting in a possible defect in flatness of the visible face of the curtain (large bases 2).
- the blade is made by assembling two straight sections transverse trapezoidal or pseudo-trapezoidal 1a, 1b joined together by a flexible strip and inextensible articulation 14b coextruded with the material rigid of the two sections.
- This strip 14b connects the two sections 1a, 1b by appendices 13a and 13b.
- the invention extends to the case of any number of sections such as described joined together by bands of joint coextruded with the rigid material of trapezoidal sections.
- One of the end sections namely 1a, has on its side 4 a housing 10.
- the opposite section 1b comprises on its side 5 a rod 15 connected to this section by a strip 14a fixed to an appendix 13.
- Each articulation band 14a or 14b is substantially the same dimensions and is located between the small base 3a, 3b and the large base 2a, 2b, in a position separated from the small base 3a or 3b which corresponds to the invisible and inaccessible side of the curtain once mounted.
- the two sections 1a, 1b are supported one on the other at the place, in the first place, of the first sections 24a, 25a on the sides 4a, 5a, located opposite and near one from the other, adjoining the large bases 2a, 2b.
- a clearance j is provided between the rib 16 and the groove 12 opposite the large bases 2a, 2b and therefore the side of the strip 14b, so as to allow clearance without blocking a section in relation to another section in a cornering situation.
- a curtain is illustrated 17 made from several blades such as those shown in Figures 1 and 2, assembled together to others and following others by cooperation of one rod 15 in a housing 10.
- the curtain 17 is shown in 90 ° turn situation thanks to a slide 18 comprising two branches 18a, 18b, each rectilinear and perpendicular to each other, joined to each other by a angled portion 18c having a generally shaped outline of quarter circle.
- the presence of the articulation bands 14, 14a, 14b substantially in the middle of the neutral line corresponding to the rotation of the curtain 17 ensures great ease of sliding by reducing friction this which also prevents excessive or premature wear due to the lack of contact of the strips with the slide 18.
- the articulation bands between blade sections or between blades are separated from the two edges 19a, 19b of the slide 18.
- a slide 18 a in cross section a general shape of U with a soul opposite which is the free end of each blade and two banks 19a, 19b opposite bases 2, 2a, 2b, 3, 3a, 3b respectively.
- a curtain such as 17 is represented in a slide 18 forming on itself an angle of about 180 °.
- This slide 18 comprises at effect two branches 18a, 18b substantially parallel and separated from each other, joined by a bent part 18d having an outline in the general shape of a semicircle.
- articulation bands 14, 14a, 14b substantially towards the middle of the blade and away from two edges 19a, 19b of the slide 18 ensures a great ease of sliding and obtaining a small radius winding corresponding to a tight winding, which significantly reduces the size of the slide 18 - the two branches 18a, 18b being close to each other - and curtain 17 rolled up and thus increases the available volume inside the piece of furniture closed by the curtain 17, while keeping the sliding characteristics of art anterior obtained with ray slides superiors.
- the bank of the bent part 18c, 18d smaller radius namely 19b cooperates with the small base 3 while the bank of larger radius 19a cooperates with the large base 2.
