Im dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel weist jedes obere Gehäuseelement 11 zwei Steckdosen 14 auf. Es ist selbstverständlich auch möglich, obere Gehäuseelemente 11 mit nur einer Steckdose oder mit einer größeren Anzahl von Steckdosen herzustellen. Zur Vereinfachung der Fertigung erweisen sich jedoch normierte obere Gehäuseelemente 11 als günstig, und zwei Steckdosen 14 pro Gehäuseelement 11 dürften einen zweckmäßigen Kompromiß darstellen. Für andere Normen oder Ausführungen von Steckdosen werden entsprechend abgewandelte obere Gehäuseelemente 11 hergestellt. Dabei ist es prinzipiell auch möglich, die Steckdosen 14 als separate Elemente in der Abschlußplatte 13 zu verrasten oder auf andere Weise zu verbinden. Das obere Gehäuseelement 12 besitzt eine kleinere Abschlußplatte 18 mit entsprechenden Führungsleisten 15, an der ein elektrischer Schalter 19 zum Schalten der Steckdosen 14 angeordnet ist. Derartige Schalter zum Schalten der Steckdosen sind bei Steckdosenleisten prinzipiell bekannt, so daß ein näheres Eingehen auf die elektrische Anordnung nicht erforderlich ist. Anstelle oder zusätzlich zum oberen Gehäuseelement 12 mit einem Schalter 19 können noch weitere speziell ausgebildete obere Gehäuseelemente 11 vorgesehen und auf das untere Gehäuseelement 10 aufgeschoben sein.
