Da ein solcher Schwenkriegel wesentlich größer und stabiler als ein im Fensterflügelfalz längsverstellbarer Riegelzapfen ausgebildet ist, vermag er in seiner ausgeschwenkten Verriegelungsstellung den in Schließstellung befindlichen Flügel wesentlich sicherer zu verriegeln. Der bauliche Aufwand für die festrahmenseitige Unterbringung des Schwenkriegels wie auch für die zu seinem Verriegelungseingriff dienende, flügelseitig anzubringende Schließtasche ist vergleichsweise gering. Claims (6)

  1. Operating rod lock for windows, doors or the like having a longitudinally displaceable operating rod (3) provided on the window leaf (1), which operating rod comprises at least one locking spigot (4) attached thereto and protruding at the front face of the leaf, which locking spigot (4), when the leaf (1) and operating rod (3) are in the locked position, is to be brought into locking engagement with a locking element (8) provided on the fixed frame (6), characterised in that the locking element consists of a pivot bolt (8) mounted in a pivotably displaceable manner in a front face recess (6') of the fixed frame (6), which pivot bolt (8) is to be pivoted out of the front face of the fixed frame (6) by means of the operating rod-locking spigot (4) which acts upon it in the locked position, and is to bring a through opening (13) appropriately disposed in the operating rod (3) into locking engagement with a locking recess (11) disposed in the leaf frame (1) by passing through them.
  2. Operating rod lock according to claim 1, characterised in that the pivot bolt (8) is formed as a two-armed angle lever which can pivot freely about a joint pin (10) and is housed in a pivot bolt recess (6') inserted into the fixed frame (6), which angle lever, in addition to a longer locking arm (8') which is to be brought into outwardly pivoted locking engagement, comprises a shorter actuating arm (8") which is bent at an angle thereto and on its free end comprises an actuating tip (8‴) protruding into the displacement path of the operating rod-locking spigot (4).
  3. Operating rod lock according to claim 2, characterised in that the locking arm (8') of the pivot bolt (8) has a wedge profile which renders possible a change in its locking pressing force in the locking recess (11).
  4. Operating rod lock according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that on the fixed frame (6) is disposed a conventionally formed locking piece (7) at the level of and on the front face in front of the pivot bolt recess (6') and its pivot bolt (8), with which locking piece the operating rod-locking spigot (4) in its locked position arrives in additional locking engagement.
  5. Operating rod lock according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the operating rod (3) is covered on the front face by a covering rail (2) which comprises a correspondingly disposed slot (5) for the passage of the locking spigot (4) and of the pivot bolt-locking arm (8') when pivoted out into its locking position.

Operating rod lock according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the oppositely lying pivot bolt recess (6') and the locking recess (11) and also the locking piece (7) on the fixed frame side have a substantially equal longitudinal extension corresponding to the displacement stroke of the operating rod bolt (3), for example, corresponding, in the case of turn and tilt windows, to the total displacement stroke resulting from the locking, turning and tilting position of the locking spigot (4).
