Description

The invention relates to a packaging for paper, such as gift, packing, cupboard and book wrapping paper, in roll form, the free end of the outer paper layer of the paper roll being glued to its underlying paper layer and the paper roll being provided with an opening aid running in the longitudinal direction of the paper roll, which is arranged in or on a paper layer.

Gift, packing, cupboard and book wrapping paper are offered in roll form. In order to keep the paper in the roll form, the paper rolls are provided with a banderole made of paper or film and then additionally packed in a film. In many cases, shrink film is used as packaging film. This type of packaging is uneconomical, especially since the packaging must also be disposed of.

Der mit der darunterliegenden Papierlage verklebte Papierflächenendabschnitt bildet mit der darunterliegenden Papierlage einen doppelwandigen Lagenabschnitt.GB-A-704 379 discloses a packaging for paper in roll form, the paper roll being designed as sales packaging and being provided with an opening aid in the form of a tear tape or tear thread running in the longitudinal direction of the paper roll and provided in the outer paper layer. This opening aid is provided adjacent to the free end of the outer paper layer, the free end of which is glued to the underlying paper layer. This opening aid is used only for better handling and for releasing the end of the paper in the form of a roll to be obtained, since the user of this paper roll has no possibility of gluing the free end of the outer paper layer to the underlying paper layer detach the glued paper surface section from the underlying paper layer. The opening aid serves to support this, by means of which a free end for the paper is exposed, in order to separate the required lengths from the rolled-up paper and to supply these for packaging purposes. The paper surface end section glued to the underlying paper layer forms a double-walled layer section with the underlying paper layer.

The outer paper layer is not protected with this packaging. for this reason, an additional packaging sleeve is provided, which consists of a blank that is placed around the paper roll and the ends of which are connected to one another. This packaging envelope is opened at the same time as the opening aid provided in the outer paper layer of the paper roll.

Furthermore, FR-A-1 123 254 discloses a paper roll with an opening aid running in the longitudinal direction of the paper roll, which glues the free end of the outer paper layer. For this purpose, the band or strip-shaped Opening aid coated on both sides with an adhesive so that the outer paper layer can be glued to the underlying paper layer. By pulling the opening aid, the paper layer underneath the outer paper layer is torn open in the area of the free end of the outer paper layer, so that the paper roll is opened. Since the paper roll is paper which is provided with a recurring separating perforation or weakening line for dispensing individual sheets, which runs transversely to the longitudinal direction of the paper, only the first sheet is torn when the paper roll is torn open, thereby avoiding wastage caused by the usual toilet paper rolls occurs. However, the prerequisite here is that the paper of the paper roll is provided with separating perforations in order to be able to separate the beginning of the paper from the rest of the paper after the paper roll has been torn open.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a sales packaging for paper, such as gift, packing, cupboard and book wrapping paper, in roll form, in which the goods, here the paper, themselves form the packaging envelope for the actual paper to be used, so that in addition to environmentally friendly, economical packaging, paper is obtained without adhering paper residues which remain when the packaging envelope is opened.

This object is achieved in a packaging of the generic type with the features specified in claim 1.

In the case of the packaging of paper of the most varied type in the form of a roll, the paper roll is designed as sales packaging and is provided with an opening aid, such as a tear tape, tear-off flap or the like, which runs in the longitudinal direction of the paper roll and is provided in one of the outermost paper layers, one following the opening aid Paper surface specification is provided as a packaging sleeve in the outer paper end area. The opening aid guided out of one of the two paper roll ends with a grip section is arranged in or on the paper layer, which is covered by the outer paper layer of the paper roll, the free end of which is glued to the underlying paper layer.

The fact that the opening aid z. B. is arranged in the form of a tear tape in the second paper layer, the packaging roll enveloping the actual paper roll is separated from the actual paper when the opening aid is pulled off in the longitudinal direction of the paper roll. This packaging envelope also represents the paper surface specification, because the free end of the outermost paper layer of the paper roll is glued to the underlying paper layer, so that when the opening aid is torn, tear or separating edges are created in two paper layers, so that when the opening aid is removed a tear or separating edge is formed in the second paper layer, which at the same time represents the beginning of the paper to be used for the paper roll. Since the paper surface specification, which represents the actual packaging envelope, is dimensioned somewhat longer in length than that Scope of the paper roll, there is no major paper loss. With a roll diameter of 32 mm, for example, a surface blank with a length of approximately 130 mm falls on the paper surface specification, the blank surface resulting from the removal of the opening aid being approximately 100 mm, while 30 mm on the blank surface sticks to the first-mentioned blank surface with a length of 100 mm is.

Since the packaging envelope itself consists of the paper formed into a roll, any additional packaging is unnecessary; the packaging envelope is also formed in the manufacture of the paper roll after the opening aid has been inserted in the form of a tear tape and firmly connected to the second paper layer. According to this, the packaging is economical; the packaging envelope obtained can be recycled and is therefore reusable as paper.

Die beiden Enden der Papierrolle 10 sind mit 10a, 10b bezeichnet (Fig. 1).The paper roll 10 shown in FIG. 1 is designed as sales packaging 100. This sales package 100 includes any type of paper, such as gift, packing, cupboard and book wrapping paper, in roll form, the gift, cupboard and book wrapping paper, in particular, being relatively thin papers that are color patterned or unprinted could be. The two ends of the paper roll 10 are designated 10a, 10b (Fig. 1).

The paper roll 10 is provided with an opening aid 20 which runs in the longitudinal direction of the paper roll and is provided in one of the outermost paper layers 13 and which is designed as a tear tape 21 in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 6. This opening aid 20 or the tear tape 21 consists of a strip-shaped blank made of cardboard, cardboard or another suitable, tear-resistant material.

The tear tape 21 of the opening aid 20 is guided out of the end 10b of the paper roll 10 with a grip section 22 (FIGS. 1, 2 and 3). This tear tape 21 is arranged in or on the paper layer 13 or paper roll 10, which is covered by the outer paper layer 14, the free end 14a of which is glued to the underlying paper layer 13, which is indicated at 15 in FIG. 6. Because of this configuration, the tear tape 21 lies between the paper layer 13 and the adjoining inner paper layer 12. The tear tape 21 is fastened to the inner wall surface 13b of the paper layer 13 by means of an adhesive. In the outermost paper layer 14, which covers the paper layer 13 with the tear tape 21 and whose free end 14a is glued to the underlying paper layer 13 at 15, two separating perforations 30, 31 running parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction of the paper roll are provided, which are above the lateral edges or Edges 20a, 20b of tear tape 21 run and are flush with them (FIG. 6). Furthermore, the paper layer 13 of the paper roll 10 carrying the tear tape 21 has two separating perforations 30 ', 31' running parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction of the paper roll, which are arranged running on both sides of the tear tape 21. The separating perforations 30, 31 arranged in the outer paper layer 14 covering the tear tape 21, the free end 14a of which is glued to the underlying paper layer 13 at 15, are aligned with the separating perforations 30 ', 31' formed in the paper roll layer 13 carrying the tear tape 21 are, so that in the two paper roll layers 13 and 14 separating perforations 30, 31 and 30 ', 31' are formed, which are aligned with the lateral edges or edges 20a, 20b of the tear tape 21 and a separation of the paper surface specification 11, ie Packing cover, in so far as lightening when a Aufbzw. Tear off the tear tape 21 in the direction of the arrow X, the paper layers 13, 14 lying above the tear tape 21 and in its area are separated. Since gift, cupboard and book wrapping papers are very thin paper material, the separating perforations 30, 31 and 30 ', 31' only represent separating aids, especially since the tear tape 21 can be torn open and torn off even without the presence of separating perforations.

A tear thread can also be used as an opening aid 20 instead of a tear tape 21.

The paper surface specification 11, which adjoins the opening aid 20 of the paper roll 10, preferably has a length that is greater than the circumference of the paper roll.

A sales package 100 consisting of a paper roll 10 with an opening aid 20 incorporated into the paper of the paper roll, preferably in the form of a tear tape 21, is opened as follows: The tear tape 21 is gripped by its free handle portion 22 (FIG. 1) and extends in the paper roll longitudinal direction pulled out of the paper so that the paper surface specification 11 is obtained as the packaging sleeve. This paper surface specification 11 is formed by the section 11a and the narrower section 11b, which was glued to the section 11a during the manufacture of the paper roll 10. If the tear tape 21 is pulled off, tear or separating edges 11a 'and 11b' are obtained in the outer paper layer 14 on both sides of the separating area. In the same way tear or Separating edges 13a and 11c are obtained in the paper layer 13, with the tear or separating edge 11a 'beginning of the actual paper to be used. Because the paper section 11b of the paper surface specification 11 is glued onto the paper section 11a, the paper surface specification 11 with the tear or separating edges 11b 'and 11c is obtained after the tear-off tape 21 has been torn off (FIGS. 3, 4 and 5). If the sales packaging 100 has not yet been opened, then the paper surface specification 11 is connected with its edge 11a 'to the edge 11b' via the paper web 19 (FIG. 5). When the tear tape 21 is torn, the paper webs 19 'and 19 are also torn out in the two paper layers 13, 14, the width of these paper webs 19, 19' corresponding to the width of the tear tape 21.

According to a further embodiment, the opening aid 20 can consist of a separating perforation, which can also be designed in the form of a double separating perforation, a strip-shaped web being formed between the two separating lines running at a distance from one another, which serves to open the closure formed by the the connection of the free end 14a of the outer paper layer 14 with the underlying paper layer 13 is obtained. There is also the possibility that the free end 14a of the outer paper layer 14 is glued to the underlying paper layer 13 by means of a readily soluble adhesive. A pressure-sensitive adhesive is preferably used as the adhesive, on the basis of which the free end 14a of the outer paper layer 14 is held on the underlying paper layer 13 with low adhesiveness in such a way that residue-free detachment of the free end 14a and re-adhesion to the paper layer 14 is possible. Such PSAs are described in DE-A-2 407 494, US-A-3 691 140, DE-A-2 417 312, US-A-2 510 120 and DE-A-2 535 897.

Furthermore, the free end 14a of the outer paper layer 14 can be held on the underlying paper layer 13 by means of a glued-on label, which is expediently designed to be self-adhesive.
