Description

The present invention relates to a dispenser of liquid cleaning product or the like according to the preamble of claim 1, and it applies in particular, but not exclusively, to such a dispenser which is placed and used in a kitchen installation. community, for example for a restaurant, a business, a hospital, etc.

By "liquid cleaning product" is meant here any liquid product, generally quite volatile, which is used to clean, wash or disinfect the user's hands.

There is already known a type of dispenser comprising a container of liquid cleaning product at atmospheric pressure, a distribution circuit constituted in particular by pipes, a spray nozzle and an electric pump, and means detecting the presence of the hands of the user in the distribution area to activate the pump when the user places his hands under the nozzle. This distributor has various drawbacks: on the one hand, it is extremely expensive due to its motorization and the presence of the pump and the detector means; on the other hand, it requires a connection to the electrical distribution network, which involves running an electrical cable from the distributor to its connection with the network, hence the need, for an existing installation, to carry out installation work, with the additional disadvantage that it is almost impossible to move the dispenser after installation.

Document FR-A-2 083 712 also discloses a distributor comprising the characteristics of the first part of claim 1. In this case, it involves spreading a gas in a room, when the a door, from an aerosol can. For this, the aerosol can is carried by the door and, when the door is closed, a mechanism comes to cooperate with the door frame to actuate the valve, located in the high position relative to the body of the can, so to cause the emission of a jet.

Another type of dispenser is also known from document FR-A-2 028 651. In this document, it is an autonomous device which comprises, at the front, a rocking lever which is actuated by the user and which comes to depress a piston for the emission downwards of a dose of soap paste previously sampled from a soap container.

The object of the invention is to provide a distributor of the indicated type which is autonomous, that is to say which does not have to be connected to the electrical supply network, which is inexpensive by its manufacture and its installation, which can be installed and moved at will, as needed, without requiring adaptation work in the room that receives it, and which allows the emission of a continuous jet of product while leaving the user the possibility of move his hands as he continues to cause the throw.

To this end, the dispenser according to the invention is characterized in that the shutter is placed at the bottom of the container in order to distribute the product continuously downwards and in that it comprises manual means arranged to bring the nozzle in active position and located in the assembly under the nozzle and in the jet area to be actuated by the fingers of the user.

It is understood that the dispenser according to the invention thus designed is completely autonomous from the electrical network for its operation because the liquid product is dispensed by the manual action of the user alone, which dispenses with any connection to the electrical network and allows installation of the distributor in any variable location in the room without the need to carry out work In this one.

The nozzle and the shutter can each be arranged in any suitable manner; for example, the nozzle may be arranged to be returned to the inactive position by gravity, the shutter itself and / or the manual means; thus, the nozzle may be an independent part of the shutter, or it may be incorporated therein; for example, the shutter and the manual means are arranged so that the inactive and active positions of the nozzle are respectively a low position and a high position.

According to a preferred embodiment, the manual means comprise a lever with elastic action; in this preferred embodiment, the envelope has an upper chamber for receiving the container and a lower distribution chamber in which the manual means are placed. The envelope preferably comprises a side wall in which is formed a front window allowing the hands of the user to access the lower chamber to receive the jet when the fingers of the user actuate the manual means.

The invention will be clearly understood on reading the additional description which follows and with reference to the drawing which forms part of the description and the single figure of which is a side view, partially in section, of a dispenser established according to the method of preferred embodiment of the invention.

The dispenser is intended, in general, to be fixed, preferably removably, on a wall 1 of a room, for example a community kitchen, as indicated above.

The dispenser comprises a casing 2 which is constituted by a peripheral side wall 3, for example semi-cylindrical, a bottom wall 4, a wall rear 5 bearing on the wall 1, and a removable upper cover 6. The casing 2, which is for example made of stainless steel, is fixed to the wall 1 for example by screws, shown diagrammatically at 7, which pass through slots 8 of the rear wall 5.

In the preferred embodiment adopted, the casing 2 comprises an intermediate horizontal partition 9 which defines, with the walls of the casing, an upper chamber 10 and a lower chamber 11 for distribution. The side wall 3, in line with the lower chamber 11, has a front window 12 allowing the user to place his hands in the chamber 11.

The upper chamber 10 is intended to receive a container 13 which contains a liquid cleaning product, in the sense which has been indicated above, this liquid product, which is generally quite volatile, being under gas pressure, for example gas carbonic. In a manner known per se, the container 13 comprises a shutter, not shown, which is normally closed when it is not stressed and which is in the low position so that the propellant is at the top of the container and cannot escape. The shutter is carried by a ring 14 which is hermetically crimped on the neck 15 of the container and which is fixed in a removable and hermetic manner, for example by screwing with the interposition of a seal, on a fixed support 16 subject to the intermediate partition 9. The container 13 is thus carried by the casing 2 by the support 16, and its cylindrical side wall 17 is received without play in a vertical cylinder 18 which is open upwards and whose lower edge is fixed to the intermediate partition 9.

The container 13 of liquid product can thus be considered as a removable refill which can be replaced. The user has a certain number of such full containers 13 which he uses successively and which he returns, after use, to his supplier, unless, in particular for handling and transport reasons, the containers 13 are for single use.

The shutter of the container 13 cooperates with a dispensing nozzle 19 which can move between an inactive position for which the shutter is closed and an active position for which it opens the shutter to allow the liquid under pressure contained in the container to exit continuously from the container, under the action of the propellant gas, and pass through the nozzle to be distributed downwards, into the chamber 11, in the form of a vertical jet shown diagrammatically at 20.

The container closure member and the nozzle 19 may each be arranged in any suitable manner. In the example adopted here, the nozzle 19 and the shutter of the container are mechanically independent elements and the shutter is normally closed when it is in the low position, considering the position of the container 13 when it is installed; consequently, in this example, the inactive position of the nozzle 19 is its low position, while its active position is a high position for which it displaces the shutter up, that is to say inwards of the container. However, other arrangements are possible; for example, the nozzle 19 could be incorporated into the shutter, and / or the normal closed position of the shutter could be a high position, as is known in other applications, for example disposable lighters.

The nozzle 19 in turn cooperates with manual means 21 which are arranged to bring the nozzle 19 into the active position of opening of the shutter and which are located in the assembly under the nozzle and in the area of the jet 20, inside the lower chamber 11, to be actuated by the fingers of the user when the latter places his hands in the chamber 11 through the front opening 12.

In the adopted embodiment, the manual means 21 are constituted by a bent lever which has a lower branch 22 on which act the fingers of the user, as shown by arrow A, and which is located in the vicinity of the rear wall 5 of the envelope, an upper branch 23 which is substantially horizontal and which cooperates with the nozzle 19, unilaterally, by the intermediate of a slot 24, and an end portion 25 for fixing on the underside of the intermediate partition 9 of the envelope. The lever 21 is for example also made of stainless steel and it is deformable, in an elastic manner, due to its mounting by its only end part 25, its deformation being distributed over its entire length, from its mounting part 25. On the Figure, the lever 21 is shown in the inactive position, that is to say when it is not stressed by the fingers of the user, the nozzle 19 then being in the low inactive position for which the shutter of the container 13 is closed.

Although this is not shown, it goes without saying that the nozzle 19 has an axial channel which is placed in communication with the interior of the container 13 when the nozzle is brought by the lever 21 into the active upper open position of the 'shutter.

When the user wishes to wash or disinfect his hands, he enters his hands into the lower chamber 11, through the window 12, to push the branch 22 of the lever 21 backwards, that is to say towards the rear wall 5 of the envelope, which causes the upper branch 23 to tilt clockwise around the mounting part 25, and consequently a displacement of the nozzle 19 upwards, the container shutter thus being forced open and allows the pressurized liquid product contained in the container to pass through the shutter and the nozzle 19 to be projected in the form of the vertical jet 20 on the hands of the user. It should be noted that the liquid is dispensed continuously, as long as the user's hands press the lever 21. When the user releases the lever 21, the latter returns elastically to the inactive position, which causes the descent of the nozzle 19 to its inactive position and the closure of the shutter, with the consequence of stopping the jet 20. The excess of the projected liquid is generally received by the bottom wall 4 of the envelope in the case of a volatile product which is therefore not necessary to dispose of thereafter; in the case of a product that is not very volatile, a removable recovery tank can be provided on the lower wall 4 of the envelope which will be emptied regularly.
