Definitions

  • the present invention relates generally to the packaging in which is normally arranged a spectacle lens for presentation to a practitioner.
  • this packaging is usually a box resembling a case.
  • This box comprises, overall, a box body, which encloses a wedging element in a recess of which is arranged the spectacle lens to be presented, and on which is hinged a cover.
  • the spectacle lens is visible, it is customary to produce a transparent, and therefore relatively expensive, material, the cover, at the cost of increasing the cost of the assembly.
  • Document US-A-2 262 472 describes a presentation case which, intended for example to serve as a case for a necklace, comprises, on the one hand, a tray, which is suitable for receiving this necklace, and which, in practice, is of semi-circular contour, and, on the other hand, two half-shells, which pivotally mounted on the edge of the plate, along an axis of pivoting generally perpendicular thereto, are each movable between a closed position, for which, facing one another, they jointly form a protective shell around the plate, and an open position for which they unmask on the contrary this one.
  • the plate on which the collar is placed and / or wedged has a flange along its periphery, so that, to remove this collar from this plate, it is necessary intervene substantially perpendicular to the latter.
  • the present invention generally relates to a presentation case free of these drawbacks and also having other advantages.
  • This presentation case which is therefore intended for the presentation of a spectacle lens to practitioners, is of the type comprising, on the one hand, a tray, which is suitable for receiving the spectacle lens to be presented, and, d 'other hand, two half-shells, which, pivotally mounted on the edge of the plate, along a pivot axis generally perpendicular thereto, are each movable between a closed position, for which, facing each other , they jointly form a protective shell around the plate, and an open position for which they unmask the latter, on the contrary, this presentation case being generally, the plate being of generally circular contour, this plate being devoid of any rim on two portions of its periphery diametrically opposite one with respect to the other, and having locally, projecting, at least three wedging lugs for maintaining the glasses glass.
  • the spectacle lens freely resting on the tray, its peripheral edge is at least partially cleared, and it is therefore easy to grasp it, by intervening in practice substantially parallel to the tray, without risking any either of its main faces.
  • the presentation case according to the invention also requires for its constitution only a reduced number of different parts, and none is particularly costly to produce.
  • FIG. 2 it is, overall, to ensure the presentation of a spectacle lens 10.
  • spectacle lens 10 is understood here to mean the puck, of circular outline, that such a spectacle lens 10 constitutes before it overflows at the contour of the circle or surrounding the spectacle frame that it must equip.
  • the packaging used according to the invention for the presentation of such a spectacle lens 10 is a case 11 comprising, on the one hand, on the one hand, a tray 12, which is suitable for receiving the spectacle lens 10 to be presented , and which, like this one, is in practice of generally circular contour, and, on the other hand, two half-shells 13A, 13B, which, pivotally mounted on the edge of the plate 12, along an axis of pivoting generally perpendicular thereto, are each movable between a closed position, FIG. 1, for which, facing one another along a joint surface 14, they form, jointly, a protective shell 13 around the plate 12, and an open position, Figure 2, for which they unmask on the contrary more or less widely, and in practice completely, it.
  • the plate 12 is devoid of any rim on two portions 15A, 15B of its periphery, which are diametrically opposite one with respect to the other, and each of which extends in practice over a little less than 180 °.
  • the plate 12 is essentially in the general form of a flat disc.
  • the plate 12 has, however, locally projecting at the edge of its periphery, between the portions 15A, 15B of the latter, a backsplash 16 on the back of which are pivotally mounted, according to arrangements described in more detail detail later, one and the other of the two half-shells 13A, 13B.
  • the plate 12 also has locally projecting at the edge of its periphery, between the portions 15A, 15B thereof, in a diametrically opposite position relative to the backsplash 16, a flange 17, which projects on the same face of the plate. 12 as the backsplash 16, and on which the two half-shells 13A, 13B each engage by a notch 18A, 18B in the closed position.
  • this rim 17 intervenes in practice at the end of a radial projection 20 of the plate 12.
  • the plate 12 also has, locally, projecting, in the vicinity of its periphery, at least three wedging lugs 23, 23A, 23B, one median, the other two lateral, for holding the glass. glasses 10 to present.
  • wedging pins 23, 23A, 23B are established along the same circumference, being distributed along the latter.
  • the central wedging lug 23 is formed by the end of a rib 24 which, radially projecting from the backrest 16 in the direction of the axis of the plate 12, also protrudes from a bench seat 25, of convex outline, present at the base of the rib 24, at the connection between the plate 12 and the backsplash 16.
  • the lateral wedging pins 23A, 23B which each extend respectively on either side of the diameter going from the backsplash 16 to the rim 17, at the rate of one per portion 15A, 15B of the periphery of the plate 12, are, them, isolated.
  • these are cylindrical pins of circular cross section implanted slightly recessed with respect to the periphery of the plate 12.
  • these cylindrical pins have a certain elasticity.
  • the plate 12 has, locally, projecting, in full surface, an additional wedge pin 26.
  • This wedging pin 26 is in practice located on the diameter from the backsplash 16 to the rim 17, a short distance from the median wedging pin 23.
  • the two half-shells 13A, 13B are pivotally mounted at the same point on the plate 12, behind the backsplash 16.
  • this backsplash 16 is in two pieces, namely, on the one hand, a piece 30, which, coming from molding of the plate 12, is in one piece with it, like the rim 17, forming jointly by itself the wedging lug 23 median, the rib 24 and the seat 25, and, on the other hand, a part 31, which, distinct from the previous one, is duly secured to the latter, for example by interlocking, welding or gluing, and on which the two half-shells 13A, 13B are pivotally mounted.
  • the part 31, visible in isolation in Figures 3, 9 and 10 comprises, in the middle position, a hub 32 axially perforated with a bore 33 for the establishment of an axis 34 on which the two half-shells 13A, 13B are articulated.
  • the part 31 further comprises, stepped parallel to one another, at a distance from each other, along the hub 32, two fins 35, which form transversely between them, on either side of the hub 32, slots 36.
  • the part 30 comprises, projecting from its back, at the spacing of the hub 32 from the part 31, two tabs 37 by which it is inserted into the slots 36 of this part 31, for its attachment to the latter.
  • one of the fins 35 extends at the base of the hub 32, and the other at mid-height thereof.
  • the first door projecting downward along its free edge, on the side of the hub 32 corresponding to the half-shell 13A, a rib 38A, and the second door similarly projecting upward along its free edge, on the side of the hub 32 corresponding to the half-shell 13B, a rib 38B.
  • the rib 38B has a height greater than that of the rib 38A.
  • Each of the two half-shells 13A, 13B comprises, on the one hand, two main walls 39, 39 ', one upper, the other lower, which, generally parallel to one another, extend generally parallel to the plate 12, each being respectively staggered in height on either side thereof, and, on the other hand, a side wall 40, which, generally perpendicular to the plate 12, connects in pocket one to the other the main walls 39, 39 ', stopping at a distance from the free edge 41, 41' thereof for form the corresponding notch 18A, 18B.
  • the main walls 39, 39' of the half-shells 13A, 13B each extend locally by ears 42, 42 'for their pivoting engagement on axis 34.
  • these abutment means comprise, for each of the two half-shells 13A, 13B, a shoulder 44A, 44B on the backrest 16, and a tongue 45A, 45B, which, projecting from such a half shell 13A, 13B, bears against this shoulder 44A, 44B in the open position.
  • the shoulders 44A, 44B which the backsplash 16 thus presents are formed by the lateral edges, facing one another, of the ribs 38A, 38B of the part 31 of which this backsplash 16 is partly formed.
  • the tongue 45A, 45B of the half-shells 13A, 13B extends in the vicinity of the ear 42 for the half-shell 13B, and of the ear 42 'for the half-shell 13A, in projecting from the contour of these ears 42, 42 'substantially perpendicular to the free edge 41, 41' of the corresponding main wall 39, 39 '.
  • the arrangements are such that, for the open position, and as shown in FIG. 2, the two half-shells 13A, 13B are generally aligned with each other, tangentially to the plate 12.
  • the side wall 40 of these extends generally perpendicular to the free edges 41, 41 'of their main walls 39, 39' on a at least part of the contour of these from their pivot axis, materialized by the axis 34.
  • the side wall 40 then extends generally parallel to the free edges 41, 41 'of the main walls 39, 39', before bending in a circular sector in the direction of the end thereof opposite the ears 42, 42 ' .
  • the two half-shells 13A, 13B each have a generally rectangular outline, with that of their angles which is diagonally opposite to the ears 42, 42 'generally shot by a circular rounding.
  • the main wall 39 which is the one located above the plate 12 in the closed position, is slightly curved, so as to form from one to the other of the two half-shells 13A , 13B a continuous curve above the plate 12 in the closed position, while the main wall 39 'is flat.
  • the half-shells 13A, 13B are associated with latching means, for their disengageable locking in the closed position.
  • these latching means are carried by two tongues 46A, 46B, which, each locally extending one of the main walls of the half-shells 13A, 13B, in this case their main wall 39 ', along the free edge 41 'thereof, one is superimposed to the other in the closed position.
  • these tabs 46A, 46B have a semi-circular outline, and, in order to be able to overlap each other, they are half thick with respect to the main wall 39 'from which they originate.
  • One of the tongues 46A, 46B carries, for example projecting a boss 47, while, to form, in correspondence, a housing suitable for the engagement of this boss 47, the other is for example perforated with a bore 48 .
  • Both the plate 12 and the part 31 participating in the formation of the backsplash 16 of this plate 12 can advantageously be made of synthetic material, in practice by molding.
  • the axis 34 which materializes the pivot axis of the two half-shells 13A, 13B, is duly wedged axially with respect to the assembly.
  • the spectacle lens 10 to be presented can be wedged either between the wedging lugs 23A, 23B and the lateral wedging lug 23, in which case the additional wedging lug 26 is reversibly eliminated by cutting the lamella at its base. 27 which carries it, either between the wedging pins 23A, 23B lateral and the additional wedging pin 26, replacing the wedging pin 23 median.
  • the presentation case 11 according to the invention is therefore advantageously suitable for the presentation of spectacle lenses 10 having one or the other of two different diameters.
  • the two half-shells 13A, 13B each have the same color, and this may be any.
  • the tray 12 on the other hand, preferably has a color adapted to the type of spectacle lens to be presented, because it forms a background for the latter: for example, a tray 12 of dark color is better suited for appreciating an anti-reflective treatment , while a light-colored plate 12 makes it possible to bring out the shade of a spectacle lens better, in particular when it is a photochromic spectacle lens.
  • the plate 12 can, at least in a preparatory phase, be stored apart from these half-shells 13A, 13B if desired.
  • the presentation case 11 is in the general form of a relatively flat and space-saving plate.
  • presentation cases 11 can therefore easily find their place, generally parallel to one another, in the same storage bin 49.
  • this storage bin 49 forms, transversely, a plurality of pockets 50, which, staggered along its length, are each capable of receiving a presentation case 11.
  • the pockets 50 progressively diverge from each other in a fan shape to facilitate gripping of the presentation cases 11 that they contain.
  • At least one of the lateral wedging lugs 23A, 23B which the plate 12 comprises, and, in practice, each of these, is, in the manner of the lug additional wedging 26, disposed at the end of an elastically deformable strip 27, which, coming in one piece from the plate 12, at the periphery thereof, extends substantially tangentially with respect to this plate 12, by means of a notch 28 'thereof.
  • the lateral wedging pins 23A, 23B each thus have a real elasticity radially with respect to the plate 12.
  • the two half-shells could, for example, each be pivotally mounted at two diametrically opposite points on this plate.
