Abstract

The new hopper (1) for the temporary storage and controlled delivery of solid items in slabs or lumps, such as filter cakes occurring in chamber filter presses, for example, has at least one lower slot-shaped discharge opening (4, 4'), down to which the hopper bottom (7, 7', 8, 8') tapers. Serving as discharge device are conveying strips (35, 36) which are provided with a pendulum drive (23, 28, 24), oscillate about a horizontal shaft (11, 12) and scrape over the hopper bottom (7, 7', 8, 8') which is curved in the manner of a cylinder casing in the region of the discharge opening (4, 4'). There are preferably two discharge openings (4, 4') with corresponding pendulum conveying strips (7, 7', 8, 8'). The conveying strips have a wedge profile (35, 36), the tip of the wedge having a loosening effect and the rear surface having a conveying effect. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a bunker for the temporary storage and controlled delivery of plate-like or lump-shaped solid bodies, in particular of fragments of filter cakes occurring in filter presses for dewatering sludge. When the filter press is opened, the filter cakes fall into the bunker underneath and are then removed for drying, incineration or landfilling.

The known bunkers have at least one lower slot-shaped discharge opening to which the bunker floor is narrowed. The discharge conveyor, which is designed as a trough chain conveyor in the majority of cases, lies under the discharge opening. However, screw conveyors also occur.

It has been shown in the operation of such bunkers that the fragments wedge in the constriction above the discharge opening and no longer slide. The size of the fragments was found to be the cause. To solve this problem, it has already been proposed (DE-A-32 07 287) to arrange cutting wires or strips in the narrowed area of the bunker, which run in such a way that the fragments sliding downward are further crushed and thereby braked, so that the conveyor is no longer is suddenly overloaded. However, this cutting and braking device did not meet the expectations placed on it. The task is once again to find a bunker in which there is no jam in the discharge area and the solid fragments can be regulated and crushed. This object is achieved by the features listed in claim 1. Due to the fact that conveyor bars move in an oscillating manner over the discharge opening and the adjacent sections of the bunker floor, the solid fragments are loosened again and again and then continuously released to the discharge conveyor. It is advantageous if the conveyor strips have a wedge-shaped profile, the surface of the wedge facing the discharge opening running radially and thus acting as a conveyor surface and which in the wedge surface pointing in the opposite direction causes the fragments to be lifted and crushed. A relatively uniform discharge of the fragments is achieved if, according to an embodiment of the invention, two conveyor bars are provided attached to the shaft at an angle of approximately 90 °, the spline profiles being arranged in opposite directions and the pendulum stroke only needing to be approximately 45 °.

Bunkers that are loaded by a large-plate filter press generally have a rectangular cross-section that matches the length and width of the filter press. In such a bunker, two discharge openings lying parallel to one another are advantageously provided, which then also receive the arcuate sections of the bunker base and the loosening and conveying devices described above. The two devices are operated by a single drive, e.g. is designed as a double-acting hydraulic cylinder.

Further preferred design options of the invention are contained in the subclaims and are explained in more detail with reference to the embodiments described below and shown in the drawings.

The exemplary embodiment is a bunker 1 assembled from sheet steel, which is supported on a profiled support frame 2. As shown in Fig. 2, the shaft part of the bunker is built in a modular design, so that the height and thus the capacity of the bunker can be varied. The bottom section 3 is the finished part, which contains the loosening and discharge devices completely assembled. There are two slot-shaped discharge openings 4, 4 'lying parallel to each other. The discharge conveyors are omitted in FIG. 1 and are only shown in FIG. 2 as screws 6, 6 'which lead to a central chute 5.

Following the discharge openings 4, 4 ', the bottom of the bunker has the shape of sections 7, 7', 8, 8 'of a cylinder jacket with a circular extent of approximately 60 °. On the outside, the circular arc sections each merge into an inclined surface 9, 9 'leaning against the bunker wall and inside into a dividing wedge 10. Shafts 13, 14 (bearings 15, 16 and 17, 18) are mounted in the cylinder axis 11, 12, which is common to the curved sections 7, 7 ', 8, 8'. All over the Bearing extended shaft extensions are hubs 19, 20, 21, 22 and in turn lever arms 23, 24, 25, 26 attached to which the piston rod ends of double-acting hydraulic cylinders 27, 28 engage in pairs for the purpose of pendulum drive at an angle of approximately 60 °. The hydraulic cylinders 27, 28 are each held by a slide block 29, 30 which is guided in vertical links 31, 32. In this way, the hydraulic cylinders can move around the height of the segment of a circle that passes through the outer end of the lever arm during the pendulum movement.

In the interior of the bunker, further spokes 33, 34, 33 ', 34' are attached to the horizontal shafts 13, 14, which carry conveyor strips 35, 35 ', 36, 36' at the outer ends, namely two adjacent spokes each a short section the conveyor bar. Short gaps are left between the sections. The sections of the other conveyor strip lie in an overlapping arrangement in these gaps.

Fig. 1 shows the profile of the (hollow) conveyor bar: it is wedge-shaped, the surface facing the discharge opening being radial and thus representing the conveyor surface 37 and the surface 38 pointing in the opposite direction rising like a wedge and thus causing the bunker contents to be loosened. The spokes are made of an upright flat profile, so that they cut the filter cake fragments when commuting.

The level of the pendulum drives is surrounded by a maintenance platform 40, which can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 3. Another stage can be at the top of the bunker shaft.
