Die eine an die Faltlinie 11 anschließende Hohlwand 24 hat zwei senkrecht von der Rückwand 12 abstehende Wandabschnitte 26 und 27 und einen zu dieser parallelen Wandabschnitt 28. Über ein Zwischenstück 30 ist die zweite Hohlwand 25 mit der ersten Hohlwand 24 an den Faltlinien 18 und 19 integral verbunden. Sie hat zwei zueinander schräg verlaufende Wandabschnitte 31 und 32 sowie einen diese verbindenden, zur Rückwand 12 parallel verlaufenden Wandabschnitt 33. Die zweite Hohlwand 25 hat einen vorzugsweise trapezförmigen Querschnitt. Über die Faltlinie 22 ist mit der zweiten Hohlwand 25 eine Lasche 34 verbunden, die auf der Rückwand 12 aufliegt und mit dieser flächig oder teilweise verklebt ist.

Der schmale Querschnitt entspricht der Dicke der Anschlußelektrode 44 der Zündkerze 40. Das Entnehmen der Zündkerze 40 aus der Verpackung erfolgt durch Herauskippen des Isolators 43 aus dem Durchbruch 38 des schrägen Wandabschnitts 31 und anschließendes Herausziehen des Gewindeabschnitts 39 der Zündkerze 40 aus dem Sitz 41 des Wandabschnitts 27. In der Lasche 34 und der Rückwand 12 sind je ein deckungsgleicher Durchbruch 36 angeordnet. Dieser zum Aufhängen dienende Durchbruch 36 hat die Form eines Kreises, eines Längsschlitzes oder vorzugsweise die Kombination von beiden.
Die wie vorhergehend beschriebene Verpackung ist an sich zum Aufnehmen und zum Vertrieb von Zündkerzen 40 geeignet. Um einen Diebstahlschutz zu gewährleisten, sind die Hohlwände 24 und 25 der Vorderwand 13 zusätzlich abgedeckt. Dazu findet ein Deckel 46 (Fig. 4) Verwendung, der die Vorderseiten der beiden Hohlwände 24 und 25, deren voneinander abgewandte Wandabschnitte 26 und 32 und die von der Rückwand 12 auf die Stirnseiten 47 der Hohlwände 24 und 25 umgefalteten Seitenlaschen 14 abdeckt. Der Deckel 46 hat angeformte Querlaschen 48 und Längslaschen 49, deren Innenflächen mit den voneinander abgewandten Wandabschnitten 26 und 32 der Hohlwände 24 und 25 sowie den Seitenlaschen 14 verklebt werden.
Um Art und Anzahl der verpackten Zündkerzen 40 zu erkennen, besitzt der Deckel 46 ein Sichtfenster 50, dessen Höhe H sich von der Faltlinie 17 der Hohlwand 24 bis zur Faltlinie 21 der Hohlwand 25 erstreckt. Zur einfacheren Entnahme der Zündkerzen 40 aus der Verpackung ist mindestens eine durch Perforation 51 begrenzte Aufreißlasche 52 in dem das Sichtfenster 50 in Höhe des Sitzes 41 der Zündkerzen 40 begrenzenden Abschnitts des Deckels 46 angeordnet. Vorteilhafterweise wird über dem Gewindeteil 39 jeder Zündkerze 40 eine Aufreißlasche 52 angeordnet, so daß einzelne Zündkerzen 40 aus der Verpackung entnommen werden können, ohne den Schutz der in der Verpackung verbliebenen Zündkerzen 40 zu beeinträchtigen. Weiterhin ist zur Kontrolle über der Elektrode 54 jeder Zündkerze 40 ein Fenster 55 angeordnet, dessen Umriß bevorzugt halbkreisförmig ausgebildet ist.
Anstatt des Deckels 46 kann als Diebstahlschutz auch eine Hülse 56 (Fig. 5) verwendet werden. Die Hülse 56, die im Unterschied zum Deckel 46 auch einen Bereich der Rückwand 12 abdeckt, ist mit der Verpackung durch die auf die Stirnseiten 47 der Hohlwände 24 und 25 umgeklappten und beleimten Seitenlaschen 14 fest verbunden. Wie beim Deckel 46 sind auch in der Hülse 56 ein Sichtfenster 57, durch Perforation 58 begrenzte Aufreißlaschen 59 und Fenster 60 ausgebildet. Durch die gleiche Ausbildung der o.g. Merkmale wird ein einheitliches Erscheinungsbild der mit dem Deckel 46 oder der Hülse 56 versehenen Verpackung (Fig. 6) erzielt.
The wall section 27 of the hollow wall 24 perpendicular to the rear wall 12 and the intermediate piece 30 forms a seat 41 for the sealing seat 42 of the spark plug 40 adjoining the threaded part 39. The openings 38 in the other hollow wall 25 have a broad cross section in that connected to the intermediate piece 30 , inclined wall section 31 for receiving, securing the position and guiding the insulator 43 of the spark plug 40 and a narrow cross section in the wall section 33 parallel to the rear wall 12. The narrow cross section corresponds to the thickness of the connecting electrode 44 of the spark plug 40. The spark plug 40 is removed from the packaging by tilting the insulator 43 out of the opening 38 of the inclined wall section 31 and then pulling out the threaded section 39 of the spark plug 40 from the seat 41 of the wall section 27. A congruent opening 36 is arranged in the tab 34 and the rear wall 12. This suspension opening 36 has the shape of a circle, a longitudinal slot or preferably a combination of both.
The packaging as described above is in itself suitable for receiving and selling spark plugs 40. In order to ensure protection against theft, the hollow walls 24 and 25 of the front wall 13 are additionally covered. For this purpose, a cover 46 (FIG. 4) is used, which covers the front sides of the two hollow walls 24 and 25, their wall sections 26 and 32 facing away from one another and the side flaps 14 folded over from the rear wall 12 to the end faces 47 of the hollow walls 24 and 25. The cover 46 has integrally formed transverse straps 48 and longitudinal straps 49, the inner surfaces of which are glued to the wall sections 26 and 32 of the hollow walls 24 and 25 facing away from one another and the side straps 14.
In order to recognize the type and number of packaged spark plugs 40, the cover 46 has a viewing window 50, the height H of which extends from the fold line 17 of the hollow wall 24 to the fold line 21 of the hollow wall 25. For easier removal of the spark plugs 40 from the packaging, at least one tear-open tab 52, delimited by perforation 51, is arranged in the section of the cover 46 delimiting the viewing window 50 at the height of the seat 41 of the spark plugs 40. A pull tab 52 is advantageously arranged over the threaded part 39 of each spark plug 40, so that individual spark plugs 40 can be removed from the packaging without impairing the protection of the spark plugs 40 remaining in the packaging. Furthermore, a window 55 is arranged above the electrode 54 of each spark plug 40, the outline of which is preferably semicircular.
Instead of the cover 46, a sleeve 56 (FIG. 5) can also be used as theft protection. The sleeve 56, which, in contrast to the cover 46, also covers a region of the rear wall 12, is firmly connected to the packaging by the side flaps 14 which are folded over and glued to the end faces 47 of the hollow walls 24 and 25. As with the cover 46, a viewing window 57, tear-open tabs 59 and windows 60 delimited by perforation 58 are also formed in the sleeve 56. The same design of the above-mentioned features results in a uniform appearance of the packaging provided with the cover 46 or the sleeve 56 (FIG. 6).

Claims (7)

  1. Pack for at least one sparking-plug (40) made from a board blank (10) with a flat back panel (12), a front panel (13) and two hollow walls (24, 25) formed by the front panel (13) that have sides (27, 31) located opposite each other with openings (37, 38) to accommodate the end sections (62, 63) of the sparking-plugs (40), where the two sides (27, 31) of the hollow walls (24, 25) that are located opposite each other are connected by an intermediate section (30) which is connected to these hollow walls (24, 25) in a single-piece configuration and where the front panel (13) is provided with a flap (34) that projects from one end of one hollow wall (25) and is bonded securely to a projecting section of the back panel (12), wherein side flaps (14) are integrated with the back panel (12) and are located at an angle to the ends (47) of the hollow walls (24, 25) and wherein a lid (46) or a sleeve (56) covers the hollow walls (24, 25) and the intermediate section (30), with the lid (46) or the sleeve (56) being bonded securely to the side flaps (14).
  2. Pack according to claim 1, wherein the lid (46) or the sleeve (56) is provided with a window (50, 57) that extends (height H) from a section (33) of the front panel (13) that is parallel to the back panel (12) to the point at which the side (27) projecting at right angles from the intermediate section (30) changes to a further section (28) that is parallel to the back panel (12).
  3. Pack according to claim 1 or 2, wherein one of the two sides (27, 31) of the hollow walls (24, 25) that are located opposite each other projects at right angles from the intermediate section (30) and forms a pocket (41) to hold the sparking-plug (40) securely (42) and wherein the other of the two sides (27, 31) projects away from the intermediate section obliquely.
  4. Pack according to claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein the openings (37, 38) provided in the two sides (27, 31) located opposite each other continue in the sections (28, 33) of the hollow walls (24, 25) that are parallel to the back panel (12).
  5. Pack according to one of the previous claims, wherein at least one tear tab (52, 59) defined by perforations (51, 58) is located in the section of the lid (46) or sleeve (56) that limits the window (50, 57) at the level of the pocket (41) for the sparking-plug (40).
  6. Pack according to claim 5, wherein a window (55, 60) that exposes the electrode (54) of the sparking-plug (40) is located in the tear tab (52, 59).
  7. Pack according to one of the claims 1 to 6, wherein the pack blank (10) is coated and printed on one side.
