Abstract

The adjustable, insulating push or track rod for railway points has two sleeves (2) fitted together in the manner of a turnbuckle, each of which has an internal thread (1). Track or push-rod sections (9) are screwed into the internal thread (1) so that the rotation of the turnbuckle permits the axial adjustment of the track or push-rod. The sleeves (2) are interconnected via insulating intermediate layers (4) using at least one off-centre locating pin (5) or connecting bolt, thus making it possible to maintain the correct rotation position even in case of lengthy operation and vibrations.

Description

The invention relates to an adjustable insulating slide or tie rod for rail switches, in which two bushings with an internal thread are provided in the central area, into which sections of the slide rods are screwed.

From DE-PS 1 116 712 for the transfer of the changeover force to a pair of tongues of a switch slide rods for a clip lock are known, which are designed to be insulating. From the known design an adjustability is achieved in that a middle part is provided in the manner of a turnbuckle with opposing socket threads, in which track or slide rods are screwed on both sides. In this known design, the middle part has the connecting strap for the adjustment drive. In this known design, it has been proposed to achieve insulation in that the socket threads are fitted as an insulating bush in the middle part. The insulating bushes are subjected to tensile and compressive stresses and in the course of vibrations there is a risk that the bushings will loosen overall, as a result of which the previously set adjustment is lost. The force absorption via insulated bush pressed into blind bores of a central part therefore has limitations. An analogous design was formed in DE-AS 1 279 711, the longitudinal bores in the coupling sleeves being formed with a larger inner diameter than the outer diameter of the threaded bushings and a composite outer layer made of electrically insulating material for filling the threaded bushes being proposed. In this configuration, the insulating intermediate layers are subjected to shear stress in the axial direction, which in turn can lead to loosening in the course of long-lasting vibrations in the adjustment.

In order to avoid such an unfavorable introduction of force on plastic intermediate layers, DE-OS 2 239 493 already proposed to make the training so that insulating liners are largely used to pressure. For this purpose, the connecting piece for the adjusting drive has two oppositely directed outwardly tapering recesses into which a screw bolt with a corresponding conical head can be inserted. The outer edge of the screw head is covered with insulating material and by screwing on the slide rod parts with the interposition of an insulating intermediate layer, the head of the connecting screw bolt is drawn into the conical recess of the intermediate piece. While here the intermediate layers on the end faces between the section of the slide rod and the center piece are only subjected to pressure and therefore much cheaper, in the area of the head of the connecting bolts there remains a shear stress, which can give rise to readjustments. In addition, with such a design the assembly is complex and the fit or design of the taper in the area of the head of the connecting bolt is problematic. If, as proposed in DE-OS 2 239 493, an anti-rotation device is used by means of a dowel pin which passes through part of the connecting bolt and a part of the slide rod which is screwed to the connecting bolt, this anti-rotation device is limited to an anti-rotation device compared to the connection pin, which is only held by friction, which can be rotated in the conical recess of the intermediate piece even while overcoming the frictional force. If the non-positive or frictional connection between the connecting bolt and the central part is loosened, there is no overall security against rotation relative to the central part.

The invention now aims to provide a simple-to-manufacture and easy-to-assemble design of an insulated slide rod, in which, in the manner of a modular system, the components can be used both for an embodiment of the slide rod with or without an engagement piece for a drive rod, and at the same time for each design Anti-rotation device the slide rod parts is guaranteed relative to the central part and the parts of the central part with each other. At the same time, the invention aims to allow the individual parts of the slide rod to act against one another and during operation on insulating intermediate layers only as compressive forces, so that the insulating materials are exposed to less wear.

To achieve this object, the inventive design of the adjustable insulating slide or tie rod consists essentially in that the bushings have at their mutually facing, the free ends for screwing in the end faces facing at least one arranged outside the axis of the bushings anti-rotation bolts or bolts and that the sockets by means of the at least one eccentric screw bolt or a further connecting bolt with one another, optionally with the interposition of a center piece for the attack of an actuating rod, with the interposition of insulating inserts on the end faces of the sockets and in the region of the screw bolts or in the region of the anti-rotation bolt and the further connecting bolt are connected. Characterized in that the sockets on their mutually facing, the free end facing away from the screwing of the sections have at least one anti-rotation bolt or screw bolt arranged outside the axis of the sockets, when assembling the sockets becomes a centerpiece, which assembly with the interposition of an engagement piece for one Actuating rod or by direct assembly of two sockets can ensure rotation of the parts of the center piece against each other, the insulating inserts arranged between the sockets, possibly with the interposition of a center piece for the attack of an actuating rod, being stressed only under pressure.

The connection of the bushings carrying the thread can either be via the off-center screw bolt or in addition to a simple anti-rotation bolt in the manner of an off-center dowel pin done with a further connecting bolt, the insulation must be provided on the end faces in the area of the screw bolts or in the area of the anti-rotation bolt and the connecting bolt. A particularly favorable force absorption and a particularly simple assembly result if, as is in accordance with a preferred development, the further connecting bolt is formed by an essentially axial screw bolt. With such a design, the tie rod parts can be screwed securely into the threads of the bushings, the design being able to be designed in the manner of a turnbuckle, and opposite thread pitches are used on both sides. If identical designs for the tie rod parts are to be used as series parts, one of the two nut threads of the bushings must be designed as a right-hand thread and the other as a left-hand thread, the insulated middle part being able to be assembled in a corresponding manner. As an alternative to the design with a dowel pin and an essentially central connecting bolt, the design can be such that the bushings each have a flange facing away from the insertion end, which is penetrated by at least one screw bolt with the interposition of insulating inserts, likewise a particularly simple assembly in turn possibly with the interposition of a centerpiece for the attack of an actuating rod. Here too, the forces during assembly and operation are absorbed essentially exclusively as compressive forces, as a result of which a long service life and operational reliability are achieved.

Because no further insulating components are required in the area of the screw thread of the bushings, an additional anti-rotation lock can be provided in a particularly simple manner. For this purpose, the design is advantageously made such that the sections screwed into the bushings each have at least one axial groove or a radial bolt bore for the engagement of an anti-rotation device, a plurality of axial grooves or radial bolt bores in the circumferential direction of the insertion end a correspondingly exact adjustment is made possible even with small changes in the rotational position for axial adjustment.

In a particularly advantageous manner, the design is such that the bolts are screwed against the insulating inserts with the interposition of pressure distribution disks, as a result of which no special care has to be taken during assembly and the assembly can be carried out using conventional impact screwdrivers.

The slide rod ends screwed into the thread of the middle part designed as a turnbuckle can optionally be secured in a conventional manner by means of a nut and lock nut relative to the middle part since no further insulation is required at this point. The fact that insulating materials in the threaded bushing itself are avoided not only makes it easy to secure them against rotation by means of adjusting screws dipping into a substantially axially extending groove, but also adjustment on site without additional checking of the insulation.

The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments schematically illustrated in the drawing.

In dieser zeigen Fig. 1 eine erste Ausbildung eines Mittelstückes mit eingeschraubten Schieberstangen ohne Zwischenschaltung eines Mittelstückes für den Angriff einer Betätigungsstange; Fig. 2 eine zweite Ausbildung eines derartigen Mittelstückes teilweise im Achsschnitt; Fig. 3 eine Ausbildung mit Buchsen entsprechend der Fig. 2 unter Zwischenschaltung des Zwischenstückes für den Angriff einer Betätigungsstange und Fig. 4 eine vergrößerte Darstellung der Mittelstücke entsprechend der Fig. 1 mit zwischengeschaltetem Mittelstück für den Angriff einer Betätigungsstange teilweise im Achsschnitt.1 shows a first embodiment of a middle piece with screwed-in pushrods without interposing a middle piece for the attack of an actuating rod; Fig. 2 shows a second embodiment of such a center piece, partly in axial section; 3 shows an embodiment with bushings corresponding to FIG. 2 with the intermediate piece for the attack of an actuating rod and FIG. 4 shows an enlarged representation of the central pieces corresponding to FIG. 1 with an intermediate middle piece for the attack of an actuating rod, partly in axial section.

In Fig. 1 two bushings 2 each carrying an internal thread 1 can be seen, which are screwed together on their mutually facing, facing away from the insertion ends 3, inner surfaces or end faces with the interposition of insulating intermediate layers 4 which are subjected to pressure. An anti-rotation device is provided here by using a dowel pin 5, the fixed connection of the two bushings being achieved by an essentially axial connecting pin 6. The axial connecting bolt 6 can itself be secured against rotation, for which purpose a radial bolt bore 7 is provided, in which an anti-rotation bolt engages. The anti-twist device by the dowel pin or anti-twist pin 5, in spite of the anti-twist device of the connecting pin 6, also assures a secure rotational position fixation in the event of a slight shrinkage in the area of the insulation elements.

Slide rod parts 8 are screwed into the insertion ends 3 of the bushes 2, the two interconnected bushes being designed in the manner of a turnbuckle, whereby the axial length of the slide rod can be adjusted by rotating the two bushings. The inserted bolts in the slide rod parts 8 carry radial grooves 9, in which anti-rotation bolts 10 can engage, which results in a particularly stable and reliable design.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, two sockets 2 are in turn connected directly to one another without the interposition of an intermediate piece for the attack of an actuating rod. The bushings 2, the internal thread 1 of which is again indicated schematically, each have a flange 11 on their inner sides facing away from the insertion ends 3, which flange 11 is penetrated by connecting bolts 12. Here, too, the connecting forces are absorbed by insulating intermediate layers 4, which are essentially only subjected to pressure, between the end faces of the bushes 2, the insulation naturally also having to be provided in the form of sleeves 13 in the region of the connecting bolts 12. These sleeves 13 have ring flanges 14, with pressure distribution rings 15 are interposed between the screw head and the ring flanges 14 in order to prevent damage to the insulation during assembly.

Overall, only identical tie rod parts 8 and two identical bushings 2 are required for the assembly of such rods. In the case of designing the bushings with a flange 11, the rotation is already secured by the plurality of connecting bolts lying outside the axis.

If an intermediate piece is now to be used to engage an actuating rod, only an additional intermediate piece is required without further modification of the components. When using the bushings 2 with a flange 11, this design is shown in Fig. 3. In this case, the intermediate piece 16, which has the point of engagement 17 for the actuating rod, itself has two flanges 18, which are screwed to the flanges 11 using the screw bolts 19. Overall, the same components are used as in the embodiment according to FIG. 2, again pressure distribution elements 15 being switched on between the head of the bolts 19 and the insulating ring flanges 14 of the insulating sleeves 13.

When using bushings, as shown in Fig. 1 with the interposition of an engagement piece 20 for an actuating rod, a training can be used, as shown in Fig. 4. Here again the bushes 2 are used as shown in FIG. 1 and in addition to an eccentric dowel pin 5 for securing the rotational position, here again an essentially axial connecting bolt 6 is provided, which is screwed directly to the intermediate piece 20 with the interposition of an insulating bushing 21 and the insulating intermediate layers 4. The intermediate piece 20 in turn has a point of attack 22 for the attack of an actuating rod. Identical components are thus also used in this embodiment, with only one additional engagement piece for the drive rod is added and the rest of the same components as used in the embodiment of FIG. 1.

To improve the insulation properties, the insulating intermediate layers 4, as can be seen particularly clearly in FIG. 4, can be designed in such a way that they have overlapping annular projections on the outside of the bushes 2 or the intermediate piece 20, as a result of which moisture penetrates into the area the insulating intermediate layers is difficult.
