Definitions
- the invention relates to a urinal according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention has for its object to improve a urinal with water flushing so that a simpler and therefore more economical manufacture and a more effective, permanent and uniform flushing associated urinal basin with rinsing water and a much easier maintenance or cleaning of the urinal is possible.
- the invention solves this problem by a urinal with the characterizing features of claim 1.
- the ceramic urinal basin is smooth-walled, i.e. is free of flushing water openings and only the water connection opening is provided for the installation of the flushing water distributor in the urinal basin, a more economical production of the urinal basin and a more effective cleaning of the same is possible.
- the separate arrangement of the rinse water distributor allows it to be replaced without the urinal basin itself being affected.
- the rinse water distributor can be adapted to different types of urinal basin, where e.g. the water connection opening is provided either at the rear or at the top of the urinal basin.
- the rinse pipes of the rinse water distributor alone i.e. without having to remove the connecting piece, it can be exchanged for other flushing pipes, the water outlet openings of which are optimally adapted to the special type of urinal basin, so that uniform and complete flushing of the entire surface of the urinal basin is always ensured.
- connection of the flushing pipes with the connector by means of a plug-in and snap-in connection enables quick installation and removal as well as quick alignment of the flushing pipes without the need for special tools.
- the locking connection has proven to be particularly advantageous for axially securing the flushing pipes to the connecting piece, a locking clip preferably being made in one piece with the connecting piece, which engages in a transverse groove of the relevant flushing pipe and thereby axially fixes it.
- a urinal 10 with water flushing one component of which is a urinal basin 12 made of ceramic material, which is completely smooth-walled, that is to say without pierced circles or slots for flushing water.
- the urinal basin 12 has an approximately vertical rear wall 14, in the upper end of which an approximately horizontal, continuous water connection opening 16 is provided.
- an approximately horizontal, continuous water connection opening 16 is provided in the lower part of the urinal basin 12, not shown, there is a usual outlet opening.
- the urinal basin 12 has an encircling flushing water guide channel 18 which is U-shaped in cross section and which is open to a basin floor 20.
- the rinse water guide channel 18 is formed by a free outer leg 22 which projects forward from an outer edge 24 of the pelvic floor 20 and is then directed obliquely inwards at a distance from the pelvic floor 20.
- This outer leg 22 forms a rinse water guiding rim 26, through which rinse water is deflected towards the pool floor 20 and splashing of the rinse water into the surroundings of the urinal pool 12 is prevented.
- a second component of the urinal 10 is a separate rinse water distributor 28, which is preferably made of plastic, but can also consist of metal.
- This rinse water distributor 28 is in the water connection opening 16th used and can be detachably fastened in this.
- the rinse water distributor 28 is provided with a T-shaped connector 30.
- the connecting piece 30 has a central connecting piece 32 which is provided with an internal thread 34 (FIG. 5).
- a threaded sleeve 36 with an external thread 38 is provided, so that the threaded sleeve 36 can be screwed into the connecting piece 32 from the rear of the rear wall 14 of the urinal basin 12 through the water connection opening 16 of the urinal basin 12 and the flushing water distributor 28 can be fastened in the urinal basin 12.
- the rinse water guide edge 26 of the U-shaped rinse water guide channel 18 covers the rinse water distributor 28 from the outside and makes it invisible.
- the rinse water guide channel 18 is oriented approximately horizontally in the area of the water connection opening 16 for receiving the rinse water distributor 28.
- the rinse water guide channel 18 can also be directed downward on both sides of the water connection opening 16 or have another deviating shape.
- FIG. 2 shows that in this exemplary embodiment too, a rinse water guide edge 48 renders the rinse water distributor 28 invisible to the viewer from the outside.
- the T-shaped connection piece 30 has two lateral water outlet connections 50, 52 with respect to its central connection piece 32, which are coaxially open at right angles to the connection piece 32 in opposite directions and into which a flushing pipe 54, 56 can be inserted and fastened.
- Connector 30 and the two rinsing tubes 54, 56 arranged in a common, approximately horizontal plane at the level of the water connection opening 16.
- the connection piece 30 in FIGS. 2 and 5 is inserted vertically from below into the water connection opening 42, the two rinsing tubes 54, 56 being fastened in the connection piece 30 in a position that is rotated through 90 ° and also approximately horizontal.
- the two flushing pipes 54, 56 can be arranged in different positions on one another and in positions other than those shown here on the connection piece 28 if the shape of the urinal basin requires this and the coupling device between the connection piece and the flushing pipes allows this.
- An insertion opening 58 of the water outlet connection 52 has a non-circular cross section, in the present example square.
- An insertion end 60 of the flushing tube 56 has a corresponding square cross section so that it fits into the insertion opening 58 of the water outlet connection 52 and can be inserted into the insertion opening 58 in rotational positions offset by 90 °.
- Axial locking of the insertion end 60 of the flushing tube 56 in the insertion opening 58 of the water outlet connection 52 of the connection piece 30 can be achieved by means of a locking coupling 62.
- the locking coupling 62 consists of an elastic locking clip 64, which is arranged as a uniform component of the connector 30 at a distance coaxially in front of the insertion opening 58 of the water outlet connection 52 for the flushing pipe 56.
- the locking clip 64 consists of a flexible circular ring segment with a lateral gap opening 66 which, when the flushing tube 56 is inserted into the Insertion opening 58 of the water outlet connection 52 can be expanded.
- an inwardly projecting locking rib 70 adjoins the inner circumference of the locking clip 64, the inner edge 72 of which is formed in a straight line similar to a circular chord.
- the width of the locking rib 70 is smaller and the length of the locking rib 70 is larger than an outer transverse groove 74 of the flushing tube 56.
- This outer transverse groove 74 of the flushing tube 56 is arranged at a distance from its insertion end 60, which ensures that the flushing tube 56 in the insertion opening 58 of the water outlet connection 52 is completely sealed and axially immovable. The locking of the other flushing pipe 54 in the opposite water outlet connection 50 is carried out accordingly and therefore does not require any description.
- the transverse groove 74 provided in the flushing tubes 54, 56 is arranged several times, at least twice, in positions offset by 90 ° in the circumferential direction in a common transverse plane of each of the two flushing tubes 54, 56.
- the two rinsing tubes 54, 56 according to FIG. 3 can be arranged in a rotational position in which they lie in a common, approximately horizontal plane with the two water outlet connections 50, 52 lying opposite one another and the connection connection 32 of the connection piece 30.
- FIG. 5 shows an arrangement in which the two rinsing tubes 54, 56 are again arranged in the same common plane or again in a common rotational position, but the connecting piece 30 is angled upward by 90 ° with respect to the rinsing tubes 54, 56 is.
- the urinal basin 46 in FIG. 2 despite the water connection opening 42 provided on the upper side 44 of the urinal basin 46, can be completely and uniformly rinsed out with water.
- the flushing pipe 54 can be coupled to the water outlet connection 50 in the same way as the flushing pipe 56 to the water connection connection 52, so that a corresponding description is dispensed with.
- FIG. 3 and 5 also show that a length section 76, 78 at the free end of the flushing pipes 54, 56 is angled at an obtuse angle.
- the size of the bend depends on the curvature of the urinal basin at the level of the flushing water distributor 28 in order to ensure optimal flushing of the urinal basin.
- outlet openings 80, 82 of the flushing tubes 54, 56 are also chamfered at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the flushing tubes 54, 56 in order to contribute to a uniform and complete flushing of the urinal basin 12 and 46, respectively.
- outlet slots 84, 86 for the rinsing water are arranged in the connector 30 and in the rinsing tubes 54, 56, the shape and / or size of the outlet slots 84, 86 being able to vary in order to optimize the rinsing effect.
- the urinal basins are easier and easier to manufacture and clean. If the outlet openings in the connection piece and in the flushing pipes are completely or partially blocked by limescale deposits in the flushing water, only the flushing water distributor needs to be replaced, but not the entire urinal, or it needs to be made operational again by cleaning the outlet openings.
- the flushing water distributor can be used in urinal basins of different shapes because flushing tubes of different shapes and in different, appropriate rotational positions, which are adapted to the respective shape of the urinal basins, can be inserted into the connector. This adaptation to different shapes of urinal basins is also easily possible because all parts of the rinse water distributor can be made of plastic and can be easily replaced with other parts without the use of tools.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a urinal according to the preamble of claim 1.
So far it is known as in e.g. DE-B-1,658,274, for flushing urinals in the urinal body itself, which generally consists of ceramic, to provide flushing holes for dispensing flushing water. These purging holes have to be pierced into the ceramic urinal body and require an increased manufacturing effort. In this case, inadequate irrigation is often achieved because, for spatial reasons, certain areas of the urinal basin cannot be reached for piercing the irrigation holes. In addition, the removal of deposits clogging the purging holes, e.g. of lime deposits from the rinse water, often considerable difficulties.
The invention has for its object to improve a urinal with water flushing so that a simpler and therefore more economical manufacture and a more effective, permanent and uniform flushing associated urinal basin with rinsing water and a much easier maintenance or cleaning of the urinal is possible.
The invention solves this problem by a urinal with the characterizing features of claim 1.
Since the ceramic urinal basin is smooth-walled, i.e. is free of flushing water openings and only the water connection opening is provided for the installation of the flushing water distributor in the urinal basin, a more economical production of the urinal basin and a more effective cleaning of the same is possible. The separate arrangement of the rinse water distributor allows it to be replaced without the urinal basin itself being affected. In addition, the rinse water distributor can be adapted to different types of urinal basin, where e.g. the water connection opening is provided either at the rear or at the top of the urinal basin. Furthermore, the rinse pipes of the rinse water distributor alone, i.e. without having to remove the connecting piece, it can be exchanged for other flushing pipes, the water outlet openings of which are optimally adapted to the special type of urinal basin, so that uniform and complete flushing of the entire surface of the urinal basin is always ensured.
The connection of the flushing pipes with the connector by means of a plug-in and snap-in connection enables quick installation and removal as well as quick alignment of the flushing pipes without the need for special tools.
The locking connection has proven to be particularly advantageous for axially securing the flushing pipes to the connecting piece, a locking clip preferably being made in one piece with the connecting piece, which engages in a transverse groove of the relevant flushing pipe and thereby axially fixes it.

Im unteren, nicht dargestellten Teil des Urinalbeckens 12 befindet sich eine übliche Auslaßöffnung.1 shows a urinal 10 with water flushing, one component of which is a
The
A second component of the
The embodiment of a
Axial locking of the
As shown in FIG. 4, the locking
In the present exemplary embodiment, the
46 beizutragen.
The foregoing description suggests that the urinal basins are easier and easier to manufacture and clean. If the outlet openings in the connection piece and in the flushing pipes are completely or partially blocked by limescale deposits in the flushing water, only the flushing water distributor needs to be replaced, but not the entire urinal, or it needs to be made operational again by cleaning the outlet openings. In addition, the flushing water distributor can be used in urinal basins of different shapes because flushing tubes of different shapes and in different, appropriate rotational positions, which are adapted to the respective shape of the urinal basins, can be inserted into the connector. This adaptation to different shapes of urinal basins is also easily possible because all parts of the rinse water distributor can be made of plastic and can be easily replaced with other parts without the use of tools.
