The use of dissolved or suspended crystalline layered sodium silicates in detergents is known.
For example, EP-B1-0 164 514 describes the use of crystalline, layered sodium silicates of the composition NaMSi x O 2x + 1 . yH₂O, where M is sodium or hydrogen and x is a number from 1.9 to 4 and y is a number from 0 to 20, for softening water which contains calcium and / or magnesium.

Als Polysilikathydrate werden u.a. Magadiit der Formel Na₂O . 14 SiO₂ . 9 H₂O und Kenyait der Formel Na₂O . 22 SiO₂ . 10 H₂O angeführt.DD-A3-161 180 also reports on a detergent and cleaning agent for solid surfaces, including also textiles, which is characterized in that it contains water-insoluble polysilicate hydrates of the general formula Me₂O. ySiO₂. zH₂O, where Me is an alkali and / or proton, y is a number from 4 to 48 and z is a number from 5 to 25, together with the usual components of detergents and cleaning agents. Finally, EP-B1-0 160 873 is a softening detergent with 5 to 70% by weight of at least one surfactant, 0.5 to 50% by weight of at least one builder, 1 to 20% by weight of at least one crystalline layered silica and / or a corresponding alkali silicate and conventional washing aids are known, wherein the crystalline layered silica or its alkali salt has the general formula M₂Si x O 2x + 1 . yH₂O and x>7.0; M = Na, K or H and y = 0 to 25, and in the X-ray diffraction pattern in the range the d values from 3.0 to 4.0. 10⁻⁸ cm has one or more reflections that cannot be assigned to quartz, tridymite or cristobalite.
According to this prior art, meta and polyphosphates are preferably used as builders.
It is known that the laundry is attacked and damaged to a greater or lesser extent with each wash. The extent of such fiber damage depends on the type of fiber and the detergent used.
Delicates are used to clean very delicate fabrics. These are characterized by a lower alkalinity and also contain no bleach, so that the sensitive fibers are damaged as little as possible. The disadvantage of these mild detergents is that dirt removal is poorer than that of full detergents.
The better dirt removal of heavy-duty detergents, which is based on the higher alkalinity and the content of bleaching agents, at the same time results in a much stronger attack on the textile fibers (see comparative examples B and C below). Heavy duty detergents can therefore only be used on less sensitive fabrics.
The aim of the present invention was to reduce the damage to the textile fiber during the washing process when using a phosphate-free detergent containing bleach by adding a suitable detergent additive (inhibitor).
Surprisingly, it has now been found that crystalline layered silica or layered silicates of the general formula ABSi x O 2x + 1 . yH₂O, wherein A, B = Na, K or H, x = 7 to 30, preferably 14 to 22; y = 0 to 30, preferably 5 to 15, and these layered silicas and layered silicates in the X-ray diffraction diagram one or more reflections in the range of the d values from 3.0 to 4.0. Have 10⁻⁸ cm, which can not be assigned to quartz, tridymite or cristobalite, can be used as an inhibitor for chemical textile fiber damage.
NaSi₇O₁₃(OH)₃ . 3 H₂O bzw.
Na₂Si₁₄O₂₉ . 9 H₂O oder
Na₂Si₁₄O₂₉ . 11 H₂O,
oder Kenyait der Formel
Na₂Si₂₂O₄₅ . 10 H₂O als Inhibitor eingesetzt. The crystalline sheet silicates magadiite of the formula are preferred
NaSi₇O₁₃ (OH) ₃. 3 H₂O or
Na₂Si₁₄O₂₉. 9 H₂O or
Na₂Si₁₄O₂₉. 11 H₂O,
or Kenyait of the formula
Na₂Si₂₂O₄₅. 10 H₂O used as an inhibitor.
In particular, the invention further relates to the use of these crystalline layered silicas or layered silicates as an inhibitor in an amount of 0.5 to 10% by weight in phosphate-free, bleach-containing detergents which, as builders, exclusively contain crystalline layered silicates of the general formula NaMSi x O 2x + 1 . yH₂O, where M = Na or H; x = 1.9 to 4.0 and y = 0 to 20, or their mixtures with zeolite A of the formula Na₁₂ (AlO₂. SiO₂) ₁₂. xH₂O,
where x stands for 20 to 30, the weight ratio of builder inhibitor = (2 to 20): 1.
The layered silicate serving as a builder is preferably essentially δ-sodium disilicate (SKS-6) of the formula δ-Na₂Si₂O₅.
Finally, the invention also relates to a phosphate-free detergent which, in addition to conventional washing aids and bleaches, comprises 5 to 50% by weight, preferably 10 to 30% by weight, of at least one surfactant; 0.5 to 60% by weight, preferably 5 to 60% by weight, of the crystalline layered silicates serving as builders, optionally in a mixture with zeolite A; and 0.5 to 10% by weight of the crystalline layered silicas or layered silicates which act as an inhibitor for chemical textile fiber damage, the weight ratio of builder: inhibitor = (2 to 20): 1.
By adding the inhibitor according to the invention to phosphate-free, bleach-containing detergents which, as builders, exclusively contain soluble, crystalline layered silicates such as e.g. δ-Na₂Si₂O₅ (SKS-6), optionally in a mixture with zeolite A, the damage to the textile fiber by the detergent is significantly reduced, as the following examples show.
Differenzmethode bestimmt. The test detergents were produced using the spray mixing method. The test formulations specified were checked by washing:
The primary washing effect was determined on the washed test fabric by optical reflectance measurement at 460 nm (device: Datacolor 3890) using the so-called difference method.
The secondary washing effect (fabric deposits, incrustations) was determined in the form of the inorganic fabric ash as a percentage of the residue on ignition at 800 ° C.
Der Faserschädigungsfaktor S wurde entsprechend DIN 44983 und DIN 53919 ermittelt. The fiber damage factor S was determined in accordance with DIN 44983 and DIN 53919.
The addition of a suspended layered silicate, such as e.g. Magadiite or Kenyait, as an inhibitor no negative influence. When using a phosphate-free detergent with and without the addition of a suspended layered silicate as an inhibitor, the reflectance differences and tissue ash determined on the test fabrics are the same within the scope of the measurement accuracy, which is why these washing results are not reproduced below.
Beispiele E, F, H, I, K, L).
