- This nozzle is tightly mounted on the orifice 10 and is closed by a plug (not shown) when the boiler is filled with water and ready to generate steam for the iron 3.
- the electric heating resistance is of the armored tubular type and is either welded or crimped on the bottom of the boiler so as to obtain an excellent heat exchange to create an intense heating zone practically at the level of the resistance.
- the electrical heating resistance is embedded in a foundry plate 13 so as to obtain a large, intense and uniform heating zone practically in line with this plate.
- the bottom 6 of the boiler has a region 14 forming a low point arranged in part outside the intense heating zone, and the filling orifice 10 is formed above said low point.
- This low point can, for example, be achieved by a depression (not illustrated) made by stamping or obtained by welding a bucket in the bottom 6 of the boiler, at a distance either from the path of the tubular armored resistance or from the periphery of the plate heating 13.
- the bottom 6 of the boiler 5 extends in a plane and is mounted inclined in the housing 4 relative to a horizontal plane such as for example the horizontal plane P on which the housing 4 rests in the working position, so as to constitute in the lowest part of the boiler the low point 14.

- the filling orifice 10 is arranged at a point in the peripheral region of the cover 8 situated above the low point 14.
- this low point 14 constitutes a reserve of non-boiling water in which the filling water introduced by the nozzle 11 comes flow directly and helps to cool this water reserve.
- the water level gradually rises on the inclined surface of the bottom 6 while gradually heating up at the level of the intense heating zone without creating violent bubbling or significant splashes of water.
- the invention provides that the nozzle 11 comprises a lower section 15 extending in the boiler 5 beyond the orifice 10 in the direction of the low point 14.
- the length of this section 15 is preferably close to one third of the depth of the boiler 5 measured between the low point 14 and the filling orifice 10.
- this section 15 constitutes, not only, a regular flow guide for the filling water towards the low point 14, but also a guard against any possible water splashes, while leaving a reserve of steam at the top of the boiler.
- the boiler 5 is formed by two asymmetrical upper 16 and lower 17 cups turned towards one another and assembled by their peripheral edges 18 and 19, the lower bowl 17 being mounted in the housing 4 on shoulders 20 and 21 of different heights so as to place the bottom in an inclined plane.
- This tilting device of the lower bowl 17 is of a particularly simple and economical embodiment.
