Definitions

  • the invention relates to a firing mechanism for weapons fire, this mechanism comprising a dog swiveling between a "armed” position and a “ fallen” position in contact with the striker, a trigger that can hold the dog in armed position, a trigger itself commanding the trigger, means for rotating the dog from from its armed position towards the striker of the weapon when this dog is released by the trigger and a device security including a lockable lock element manually, which can block the trigger and the armed dog.
  • Such a fire mechanism is described in EP-A-0.428.292.
  • This mechanism includes a lock element can pivot about its axis which is parallel to the axis of rotation of the dog. In its safety position, this latch element acts directly on the dog, preventing its rotation, and at the same time blocks the separator connecting trigger trigger, thereby indirectly preventing movement of the trigger.
  • Unintentional trigger rotation or rotation involuntary dog in case of trigger failure or the part of the dog cooperating with the trigger is thus excluded when the lock element is in position security.
  • the pivoting safety element cannot, however, be put in the safety position only when the dog is armed, arming the dog being impossible when the element of lock is in the latter position.
  • the object of the invention is to overcome this drawback and to provide a firing mechanism with safety extra safely preventing that the dog comes into contact with the striker as long as the device is engaged.
  • this object is achieved by the fact that the lock element, in the safety position, cooperates not only with relaxation, but simultaneously with means for rotating the dog, these means comprising a control element, one end of which is fixed swivel to the dog at a distance from its axis of pivoting, this control element being provided with a part which is retained by part of the element of lock when the latter is in the safety position and that the dog is armed, the lock element allowing both in safety position and in firing position the passage, during the arming of the dog, of the above-mentioned part of the control element to its position where it is retained by the lock element, the part of the control element not preventing passage of the latch member from its fire position to its safety position and vice versa when held by the latch member.
  • the latch member is movable in one direction parallel to the pivot axis of the dog and includes a part cooperating in the safety position with the trigger and another party cooperating in the same position with the means to rotate the dog.
  • the control element may be a connecting rod, the means for rotate the dog including a push button the end of the rod away from the dog.
  • the part that is retained from the control element is preferably a hook.
  • the rifle according to Figure 1 comprises, in known manner, a carcass 1 with the sub-guard 1 ', a stock 2 mounted at a end on the carcass, a barrel 3, mounted at the other end of the carcass 1 and, inside the carcass 1, a striker 4 (see Figure 5), an arming mechanism and a firing mechanism.
  • the firing mechanism also includes known, a dog 5 pivotally mounted on the sub-guard 1 'around a transverse axis 6 between a so-called “armed” position as shown in Figures 2 and 4, and a so-called “ fallen” position, shown at FIG. 5, in which the dog 5 strikes the striker 4.
  • This striker 4 is located in front, that is to say on the side of the barrel 3, relative to the dog 5, in the fallen position.
  • the part of the dog 5 distant from the axis 6 is folded towards the rear seen in this position and forms at the end a spout 7.
  • the firing device also includes a trigger 8 L-shaped, pivotally mounted in the sub-guard 1 'using an axis 9 and capable of retaining the dog 5 in its armed position.
  • This trigger 8 is retained in its armed position, i.e. the position shown in Figure 2 in which it retains the dog 5, using a tension spring 10 surrounding axis 9 and leaning on the one hand against part 11 of the sub-guard 1 'and inserted on the other hand into a hole 12 provided in the trigger 8.
  • a trigger 13 is mounted so pivoting in the sub-guard 1 'using an axis 14 and controls the trigger via a separator 15.
  • the separator 15 is rotatably mounted between the two legs from the upper fork end of the trigger 13 using an axis 16.
  • the axes 9, 14 and 16 are parallel to the axis 6 of the dog 5.
  • the separator 15 is prevented from pivoting under the action of the spring 17 because its front end is taken below one end folded back towards the back of an arm trigger 8.
  • This end is provided at the rear with a notch 19 in which the beak 7 of the dog 5 hooks in the armed position.
  • the firing mechanism also includes means 20 to rotate dog 5 as soon as it is no longer retained by the trigger 8, these means 20 comprising a connecting rod dog 21, extending between the fork arms of the trigger 13 and fixed by its front end so swivel to the dog 5 using an axis 22 parallel to, but located at a distance from, the axis 6, and a pusher 23 pushed forward by a spring 24, acting on the end rear of the connecting rod 21 and mounted in a recess 25 in the sub-guard 1 '.
  • these means 20 comprising a connecting rod dog 21, extending between the fork arms of the trigger 13 and fixed by its front end so swivel to the dog 5 using an axis 22 parallel to, but located at a distance from, the axis 6, and a pusher 23 pushed forward by a spring 24, acting on the end rear of the connecting rod 21 and mounted in a recess 25 in the sub-guard 1 '.
  • One of the characteristics of the invention is that the end rear of the connecting rod 21 forms a hook 26.
  • the firing mechanism further includes a device manual security which basically consists of a latch element 27, housed in a transverse opening in sub-guard 1 'and therefore extending parallel to the axes 6, 9, 14 and 16.
  • this lock element 27 does not include only a cooperating part 28, in safety position, directly with trigger 13 for prevent it from being operated, but also part 29, cooperating in this position with the hook 26 of the connecting rod 21 to retain the latter.
  • Lock element 27 can be moved from the safety position, such as represented in FIGS. 7 and 8 in the so-called firing position, as shown in Figures 2 to 6, by sliding along its longitudinal axis, using a button 30 formed at one end and protruding outside the sub-guard 1 ', on the right or left side depending on the choice of weapon user, element symmetry lock making it reversible.
  • Part 28 has a triangle-shaped section with the point down. Part 29 adjacent to the same section but with a notch in the top two corners of in this way to form a stop notch in which the hook 26 of the connecting rod 21 is hooked in the armed position of dog 5 and safety position of the lock element 27.
  • This stop notch intended to receive the hook 26 is flanked on either side of part of the element of latch 27 protruding from the stopper of so that when the hook 26 is engaged in this notch stop, changing the position of the lock element 27 is prevented by the presence of the hook 26.
  • the lock element 27 comprises a section portion 31 triangular but smaller than that of part 28.
  • the firing mechanism works as follows: The arming of the dog 5 is done in a known manner. In the armed position, the dog 5 is hung with its beak 7 in the notch 19 of the trigger 8. The latter also retains the separator 15 in the position shown in FIG. 2. The connecting rod 21 then pushes the pusher 23 against spring 24.
  • the part 28 When the lock element 27 is in the safety position, the part 28 is in contact with the trigger 13 and prevents any movement of it.
  • the hook 26 of the connecting rod 21 is located behind and in front of the catch of part 29.
  • the arming of the dog 5 can take place while the latch member 27 is in the position of security.
  • the oblique face 33 of the hook 26 forces the part rear of the connecting rod 21, including the hook 26, to pass above the upper face 32 of the lock element 27. In doing so, the support of the connecting rod 21 slides obliquely on the face 34 of the pusher 23.
  • the latch member 27 is shown in safety position. As already explained, the trigger 13 is then blocked and the hook 26 of the connecting rod 21 is located opposite part 29 of the lock element 27. If for any reason, for example a pivot unintentional trigger 8 triggered by shock or mechanical failure such as the breaking of the dog 5 or the trigger 8, trigger 8 no longer holds the dog 5, this the latter is however prevented by the connecting rod 21 from striking the striker 4, this connecting rod 21 forming a safety additional and remaining attached to the lock element 27.
  • the firing mechanism described above has a increased safety and prevents dog 5 from hitting the striker 4 even in the event of an impact or failure mechanical, when the latch element 27 is in position of security.
  • Dog 5 can move from the " fallen” position to the "armed” position whatever the security position, that is to say the latch element 27 ("firing" position or "safety” position).
  • Safety can be engaged in “fire” or “safety” position whatever the position of the dog 5 ("fell” or “army”), unless, following a mechanical failure, the hook 26 is kept in contact with the part 29 of the lock element 27.
  • the shape of the lock element is not given as an example.
  • Other forms are possible provided that in a safe position, a party can prevent the movement of the trigger, while simultaneously another party can hold the connecting rod dog or any other means to rotate the dog when released by the trigger.
  • connection between the trigger and the trigger must not necessarily consist of a separator.
  • the trigger can be an element or part of the relaxation.
