Definitions
- This invention relates to semi-automatic firearms improved, especially gas intake systems such rifles.
- This piston under the gas pressure moves in said cylinder by communicating a thrust on an equipped sleeve one or more rods that return backwards all of the moving parts that perform the different functions for ejecting the drawn socket, the resetting the firing system as well as the supply in the barrel chamber of a cartridge next.
- This gas escape for example through a drilled orifice in the side wall of said cylinder, limits the pressure on said piston and avoids reaching too large speed of movement of said moving parts, which could affect the reliability of the weapon or lead to excessive wear of moving parts.
