Description

  • The invention relates to a refrigerator door with compartments held on it, with a shell-shaped inner wall, which is provided on the inside of its vertical web-shaped edges at a distance from one another with latching recesses or knob-like elevations for snapping on the side parts of the compartments held on the edges. Such a refrigerator door is e.g. known from US-A-3 375 936.
  • The object of the invention is to provide simple and economical compartments that can be held on the inner wall of the refrigerator door.
  • According to the invention this object is achieved in a refrigerator door of the generic type in that the side parts of the compartments are provided in their lower edge regions on their mutually facing sides with grooves into which the edges of a glass plate forming the shelf are inserted. This configuration enables a particularly simple construction of the cabinet door compartments. Since the glass plate forming the base has great rigidity, the side parts can simply be placed on their narrow sides. Since the compartment is made up of parts that can be plugged together, different compartment widths can be achieved simply by using glass plates that form different lengths for the bottom. This means that compartments of different widths can be easily achieved using a modular principle by using glass panels of different lengths, which reduces the manufacturing effort and significantly reduced inventory. In addition to the simple format variability of the compartments, the shelves made of glass plates are easier to clean and also give a more hygienic impression due to their transparency. Should there be any serious contamination, the housewife can easily remove the compartment as a whole, disassemble and clean the individual parts and then easily reinsert the assembled compartment.
  • At least the front of each glass plate is expediently provided with an attached U-profile. If desired, a U-shaped profile strip can also be placed on the long parallel rear edge of the usually rectangular glass plate. This is expediently made of plastic and forms a butt or decorative edge.
  • The U-shaped profile placed on the front of the glass plate can additionally be provided with an upstanding web, which prevents small parts inserted into the compartment from falling out.
  • The side parts are expediently provided with holes on their upper sides projecting over the web-shaped edges of the door, into which the ends of the legs of U-shaped wire brackets are inserted. These wire brackets not only hold the side parts together, which favors the construction of the compartments from parts that can be plugged together, they also form holding brackets for objects placed in the compartments.
  • Two wire brackets can also be placed parallel to one another on the side parts.
  • According to a particularly preferred embodiment, for which independent protection is claimed, plates are guided in a transversely displaceable manner on the mutually parallel web parts of the wire bracket. These plates can be moved towards and away from each other in any way, so that they limit compartments of different widths in which small parts, such as tubes or the like, can be inserted to hold them. The plates delimiting the compartments can be provided with groove-like guides for the web parts of the wire bracket. These grooves can narrow outwards due to their reasons, so that the plates can be clipped onto the web parts of the wire bracket for their mounting. The plates themselves are advantageously made of plastic.
  • An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. In this shows
  • Fig. 1
a perspective view of the inside of a refrigerator door,
    Fig. 2
a section through the refrigerator door along the line AA in Fig. 1 and
    Fig. 3
a plan view of a refrigerator compartment in the exploded state of its pluggable items.
  • The refrigerator door 1 shown in FIG. 1 is basically of a known type. It consists of an outer shell and an inner shell 2, which is provided in the region of its lateral edges with two vertical web-shaped edges 3 running parallel to one another. On these lateral web-shaped edges 3, the side parts 4, Fasten 4 'of compartments 5 in which the narrow edges are held by rectangular glass plates 6 forming the shelves. U-profiles 7 made of plastic are placed on the front edges of the glass plates 6 as bumpers and / or decorative strips.
  • The mutually facing inner sides of the web-shaped edges 3 are provided in a predetermined grid with not shown in Fig. 1 locking openings.
  • Nub-like elevations snap into these latching openings, which are provided in an elastically flexible manner on the side parts 4, 4 'and which can be disengaged by actuating button-like pressure plates 8 arranged on the outer sides of the side parts.
  • 2 shows an enlarged section through a web-shaped edge of the inner shell of the refrigerator door with a side part of a compartment snapped onto it. The inner shell 2 of the refrigerator door consists of a deep-drawn plastic plate which is provided in the region of its long sides with a U-shaped part 10 forming the web-shaped edge 3. This profile part 10 is provided on its inside with a double-stage indentation 11 and on its outside with a flat indentation 12, the edges of a U-shaped grid strip 13 being fastened in the flat stages or indentations, with their longer leg 14 covers the lower step on the inside of the web-shaped edge 3. In the area of this lower step, the longer leg 14 of the grid strip 13 is provided with a row of holes, the holes 16 of which are arranged at predetermined intervals. Knob-like elevations 17, which are provided in the region of the free ends of elastically resilient arms 18 made of plastic, can snap into the holes 16. The arms 18 consist of plastic profiles attached to their have an angled leg 19 which is held in a recess of the double-walled side part 4 of the compartment and is preferably glued in place. The arm 18 is provided above its clamping with a crosspiece 20 which carries at its upper end a plate-shaped widening which forms a push button 21. This push button 8, 21 is located in an opening 22 of the outer wall 23 of the double-walled side part 4, the inner contour of which is adapted to the circumferential shape of the push button 21. By pressing the pushbutton 21 in the direction of arrow B, the locking knob 17 connected to it can be pivoted out of a locking opening 16 in the direction of arrow C via the arm 18, so that the latching of the side parts 4, 4 ′ for moving the compartments 5 can be loosened in height and restored after moving to the desired height. The pivoted-out position of the arm 18 with locking knobs 17 and pushbutton 21 is shown in broken lines.
  • The side part 4 has on its side facing the cabinet door a guide groove 28 with which the side part 4 is displaceable on the grid strip 14 after releasing the latching. The double-walled side part 4 engages over the grid strip 14 with a shorter outer leg 29, which is formed by the edge region of the outer wall 23, and with a longer inner leg 30, the angled outer part 31 of which is supported on the bottom of the shell-shaped inner wall 2.
  • On its upper side projecting beyond the web-shaped edge 3, the side part 4 is provided with two bores 35, 36, into which the legs of the double-angled holding brackets 37 can be inserted.
  • The compartment shown in FIG. 3 consists of the side parts 4, 5 which are formed in mirror image to one another and which are made of molded plastic parts consist. The narrow edges 40, 41 of the glass plate 6 forming the shelf are inserted into lower grooves of the side parts 4, 4 '. A U-shaped profile strip 7 made of plastic is placed on the long front edge of the rectangular glass plate 6. The angled legs 43, 44 of the U-shaped wire bracket 45 are inserted into the bores 35, 36 and 35 ', 36' of the side parts 4, 4 '. The legs of the wire bracket can also be bent twice, as can be seen from the wire bracket 37 shown in FIG. 1.
