Description

The invention relates to a shoe cabinet with several height-adjustable shelves on the cabinet doors and / or in the body.

Such a shoe cabinet is known from CH-PS 404 904. The shelves are guided and fastened in the body on the side walls. The doors are box-shaped, with the shelves being guided and fastened directly to the side walls.

In practice it is known for shoe cabinets to glue the shelves firmly. It can also be guided using four narrow, perforated rails into which holding plugs for the shelves are inserted. When removing the shoes, the shelves can slide off the retaining plugs, which can also happen with inclined shelves.

From GB-PS 800 498 a metal cabinet is also known in the following, the vertical side walls of which have folded post-like edge reinforcements. The shelves are guided between the reinforcement posts and are mounted on retaining plugs that can be inserted into the posts.

The invention has for its object to show a shoe cabinet with a non-slip guide for the shelves, which is also easier and faster to assemble.

The invention solves this problem with the features in the characterizing part of the main claim.

Guiding the shelves in two U-shaped rails according to the invention has the advantage that, with any height adjustment of the shelves, these are secured by the rail flanges against inadvertent slipping out. The U-rails can be attached quickly and easily. It is particularly advantageous that the U-rails can be attached to a flat door plate by simply screwing on one of their flanges. Another advantage is that instead of the previous four individual guide rails, only two U-rails have to be mutually adjusted in height.

Depending on the design of the shoe cabinet, the guide rails according to the invention can only be fastened in the body or only on the cabinet doors or also on both. The U-rails are a simple, inexpensive fitting part that is available in any dimensions in any design (e.g. color or material). The U-rails can also be easily adapted to the design of the shoe cabinet by painting, veneer or the like.

A particular advantage of the invention is that the U-rails can also be used to convert a normal wardrobe or the like into a shoe cabinet quickly and without great expense. A hobbyist can easily carry out this conversion.

The invention is shown schematically, for example, in the drawings. In detail show:
  • Fig. 1 shows a shoe cabinet in a perspective view with two different doors and U-shaped guide rails and
  • Fig. 2 shows a cross section through a flat cabinet door with an attached U-rail.

In Fig. 1 a shoe cabinet (1) consisting of a body (2) and two different doors (3, 4) is shown. The shoe cabinet can of course also be designed with one or more doors in another version.

Two vertical U-rails (8) are provided to guide the shelves (7). The U-rails (8) are arranged so that their flanges (9) face each other and between them the shelves (7) laterally. As can be seen from Fig. 2, each U-rail (8) has two or more vertical rows of holes (11), which can also be designed as rows of slots. Retaining plugs (not shown) can be used in these rows of holes (11), on which the shelves are supported in any horizontal or inclined position.

One of the cabinet doors (3) consists of a flat door panel (5) which is attached on the outside and does not protrude beyond the side wall (6) of the body (2) when it is opened. This type of door is chosen for shoe cabinets that are precisely fitted in niches. The two vertical U-rails (8) are each placed flat on the door plate (5) with a flange (9) and fastened, for example, by screwing on the flanges.

According to the extent to which the U-rails protrude from the door panel (5), the U-rails (8) in the body (2) are set back from the door hinge. The U-rails are fastened to the side cheeks (6) of the body (2) via their central webs (10), whereby it is recommended to keep the rows of holes (11) free from the side cheek (6), the U-rails in the form of spacers distance from blocks or the like. from the side cheek (6).

The second cabinet door (4) is designed as a door box with side panels (6) and the inside of it is attached to the body (2). In this cabinet door (4), the U-rails are fastened to the side panels (6) in the same way as in the body (2) via the central webs (10). As indicated in Fig. 1, a lower body depth is required for the cabinet door (4) than for the cabinet door (3).

The U-rails (8) preferably consist of stamped and bent sheet steel, which is chromed, coated, lacquered, veneered or otherwise treated in accordance with the desired external appearance. Likewise, rails made of light metal, plastic or even wood can be used.

As can be seen from Fig. 2, the width of the central web (10) of the U-rail (8) is selected so that the shelves (7) can be used horizontally or in an inclined position. The row of holes (11) on the wall is spaced a little further than the other row of holes from its adjacent flange (9). As a result, the retaining strips or bands fastened in this row of holes, behind which the shoe tips are inserted, have one sufficient distance from the door panel (5) or from the rear wall of the cabinet.
