Definitions
- the subject of the present invention is a soap composition solid, transparent based on fatty acid salts containing isoprene glycol.
- Solid, transparent soap compositions are good known in the state of the art. They are generally made, with or without alcohol, from soaps of fatty acids tallow and / or copra and / or castor and selected transparency agents preferably from polyols such as sugars, glycerin or glycols such as propylene glycol, ethylene glycol or mixtures of these.
- solid soaps without alcohol generally used a soap content of less than 40%, in particular less than 20% in coconut fatty acid soaps to improve their transparency.
- compositions known in the cosmetic field can have the disadvantage of being low foaming.
- Application EP-A 0 336 803 describes a solid, transparent soap composition based on tallow fatty acid soap comprising at least one 1,2-alkanediol having improved foaming power.
- the transparency agents used in this composition are chosen from C 2 -C 6 polyols such as more particularly glycerin, propylene glycol, and sorbitol or optionally urea as well as their mixtures.
- Patent US-A-4,165,293 describes a solid, transparent soap containing a sodium soap, an anionic or amphoteric surfactant and a C 2 -C 6 diol, such as ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, butylene glycol, pentamethylene glycol, hexylene glycol and dipropylene glycol, and preferably propylene glycol.
- the wear rate of the soap is linked to its hardness. The harder the soap is high the less the soap wears quickly.
- Document JP 88/126811 describes the use as an agent moistening in creams, milks, lotions, cleansing creams, toiletries, foundations, shampoos, conditioners in cream, masks, lipsticks, eyeshadows and toothpaste, isoprene glycol or methyl-3-butylene-1,3 glycol.
- the Applicant has surprisingly discovered that introducing isoprene glycol into a solid soap composition based on fatty acid soaps, not only did you get transparent solid soap composition having a improved humidity, but also an increase in the hardness of the soap and therefore a slower wear of it.
- the present invention therefore relates to a composition detergent and foaming cosmetic in the form of soap solid, transparent, based on fatty acid soaps, water, possibly transparency agents and / or surfactants and containing isoprene glycol.
- Another object of the invention is a washing process using works the composition defined above.
- the soaps used in the present invention are well known in the art and are generally tallow fatty acid and / or coconut and / or castor oil soaps.
- these soaps are chosen from sodium salts, in particular from sodium salts of C 16 -C 20 fatty acids and sodium salts of C 10 -C 14 fatty acids or their mixtures. They are preferably used in proportions of between 25 and 40%, in particular between 25 and 35% relative to the total weight of the composition.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention consists in using a soap containing a proportion by weight of sodium salts of C 16 -C 20 fatty acids of between 80 and 90% and a proportion by weight of sodium salts of fatty acids C 10 -C 14 between 10 and 20% relative to the total amount of soap.
- Transparency agents when used in the compositions of the present invention are selected from diols, C 2 -C 6 polyols with C 3 -C 6, urea and mixtures. More particularly, propylene glycol, glycerin and sorbitol are recommended.
- the amount of transparency agent used is equal to or less at 48% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition and is such as the sum of the concentration of transparency agent and the isoprene glycol concentration is between 25 and 50% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition.
- the soap composition according to the invention contains from 2 to 50% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition of isoprene glycol.
- Isoprene glycol not only works in composition as a transparency agent but also improves humidity behavior and increases the final hardness of the composition.
- the soap composition according to the invention contain 5 to 30% isoprene glycol and better still 8 to 25% in weight.
- composition of the present invention can also, optionally, contain anionic surfactants, amphoteric, nonionic or cationic in order to improve the foaming power of soap.
- anionic surfactants amphoteric, nonionic or cationic in order to improve the foaming power of soap.
- surfactants when they are used in the compositions of the present invention are present in proportions less than or equal to 20% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition and preferably less than or equal at 10% by weight.
- compositions of the present invention Preferably used in the compositions of the present invention between 4 and 8% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, surfactant.
- anionic or nonionic surfactants usable in the present invention include those described in the patent application EP-A-0 336 803 and in patent US-A-4 165 293.
- anionic surfactants there may be mentioned the salts alkaline, ammonium salts, amine salts, salts amino alcohols, magnesium salts of the following compounds: alkyl sulfates, alkyl ether sulfates, alkylamidoethersulfates, alkylarylpolyethersulfates, monoglycerides sulfates; the alkyl sulfonates, alkyl ether sulfonates, alkylamide sulfonates, alkylarylsulfonates, olefin sulfonates, paraffins sulfonates, alkylsulfosuccinates, alkylethersulfosuccinates, alkylamides sulfosuccinates, alkylsulfosuccinamates, alkyl sulfoacetates, alkyl etherphosphates, acylsarcosinates, N-acyltau
- the alkyl or acyl radical of these different compounds is generally constituted by a carbon chain comprising from 10 to 20 carbon atoms.
- Weak surfactants can also be used anionics, such as alkylamide or alkyl ether acids polyoxyalkylenated carboxylic acids, such as those comprising 2 to 50 ethylene oxide groups.
- Non-ionic surfactants are more particularly chosen from alcohols or ⁇ -diols or alkylphenols or polyethoxylated or polypropoxylated fatty acids with fatty chain having 8 to 18 carbon atoms, the number of groups ethylene oxide or propylene oxide being between 2 and 50 and the number of glycerol groups being between 2 and 30.
- copolymers of ethylene and propylene oxides condensates of ethylene and propylene oxides on fatty alcohols
- the preferred amphoteric or zwitterionic surfactants are derivatives of aliphatic secondary or tertiary amines, in which the aliphatic radical is a linear or branched chain having 8 to 18 carbon atoms and which contains at least one anionic water-soluble compound carboxylate, sulfonate , sulfate, phosphate or phosphonate; (C 8 -C 20 ) alkyl betaines, sulfobetaines, (C 8 -C 20 ) alkyl amidoalkyl (C 1 -C 6 ) betaines or (C 8 -C 20 ) alkyl amidoalkyl (C 1 -C 6 ) sulfobetaines.

- Solid, transparent soaps are prepared according to the invention of conventional way, by heating fatty acids and fatty substances to 75-80 ° C to melt them and obtain a homogeneous medium. We then add isoprene glycol and possibly other ingredients such as transparency agents, 1,2-alkanediols, surfactants, and other adjuvants. Then added, with stirring, the soda dissolved in water; stirring is continued for 30 minutes about. Soaps are poured in the form of breads at a temperature of 80-85 ° C, then allowed to cool to obtain the solid soaps, transparent, in the form of breads according to the invention.
- Another object of the invention is a method of washing the skin characterized by the fact that a solid soap is applied to the skin and transparent as defined above.
- the penetration index was measured soap by measuring the degree of penetration to the 10th of a millimeter of a needle in the soap.
- the tests were carried out on a bar of soap dried for 24 hours at room temperature (TA) of 25 ° C and after heating to 45 ° C, for 30 hours.
- TA room temperature
- the method of measuring the penetrometer index consists of place the soap on the base of the penetrometer, then unlock the head of the support rod penetrometer and lower the head to bring the tip of the needle slightly above the surface of the soap. We locks the needle in this position. Using an adjustment wheel micrometric, the head position is finely adjusted in order to bring the tip of the needle just in contact with the surface of the soap.
- the soap penetration index is the average value of measurements performed.
