Definitions
- the invention relates to a mobile partition wall with wall elements suspended from running rails and with at least one sealing strip assigned to each wall element according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such partitions are used for optional room division.
- the individual wall elements can be moved and suspended from rails on the ceiling and can be pushed together in a confined space when not in use. So that the individual wall elements can be easily moved, this requires a floor gap and a ceiling gap.
- the object of the invention is to achieve good soundproofing on the one hand and high stability of the individual wall elements on the one hand in mobile partition walls while avoiding a floor guide rail, wherein the bracing should be easy and quick to carry out even with heavy and high wall elements.
- the lifting elements can be easily activated from a common compressed air source simply by joining the wall elements together.
- the partition wall contains a plurality of mutually independent, tabular wall elements 1. Each of these wall elements 1 is suspended from a running rail which is fastened to the ceiling of the building. Inside the running rail 2, which is designed as a hollow profile, there are two carriages with rollers 3 or balls, which are connected via a hanger 4 to horizontal cross members 5 of the wall element 1.
- the wall element 1 contains a frame construction made of wood or metal, in particular steel and / or aluminum, with two plates 6 arranged at a distance from one another, which can consist of different materials, for example steel, aluminum, glass, plaster, wood or plastic.
- the plates 6 can also be designed in a sandwich construction. It is also possible to design the wall element 1 as a steel frame construction with glazing.
- a profile rail 10 is provided on each of the two vertical narrow sides of the wall elements 1.
- the ceiling sealing strip 8 is provided at the top with flexible sealing strips 11, which are intended to be pressed against the running rail 2.
- Corresponding flexible sealing strips 12 are also present on the floor sealing strip 9 and are intended to be pressed against the floor 14.
- the two sealing strips 8 and 9 are connected by a linkage to the two rods 16, 16 'with the interposition of a lifting element 20.
- These compression springs 18 lie on the one hand against the two longitudinal beams 5 rigidly connected to the plates and on the other hand against one stop 19 of the rods 16, 16 ', preferably in the form of a disk or a transverse pin.
- the two compression springs 18 are slightly pretensioned in the idle state and endeavor to pull the two sealing strips 8, 9 into their non-sealing position.
- the pneumatically actuated lifting element 20 arranged in the intermediate space 7 is effective in the vertical direction and is intended to exert a compressive force on the two sealing strips 8, 9.
- the lifting member 20 is supported in the cavity 7.
- the lifting element 20 contains a bellows 22 with a vertical movement path.
- the bellows 22 is surrounded by a cup-like housing 24.
- a hose 23 or a pipe opens into the interior of the bellows 22.
- this hose 23 is part of a compressed air line 36 which is connected to pneumatic clutch valves 30, 32.
- These coupling valves 30, 32 are fastened to opposite vertical narrow sides of the wall elements 1 and are intended for mutual interaction, as will be explained in more detail below in connection with FIGS. 4 and 5.
- the first coupling piece 30 is designed in a manner known per se as a check valve and contains a projecting pin 38 which, when interacting with the second coupling piece 32, opens the flow for the compressed air and, conversely, interrupts the flow when it is separated.
- the first coupling piece 30 is fastened to a mounting rail 40 by screws 42.
- a sealing cone 44 made of elastic material, which surrounds the valve body 46, is fastened to the mounting rail 40.
- a linearly movable valve member 50 when interacting with the counterpart, opens the flow for the compressed air.
- the hose or pipeline 36 is connected to the compressed air opening 52.
- the second coupling piece 32 contains a resilient sleeve 56, preferably made of an elastomer, which is held by the metallic vertical rail 10.
- a bolt 58 supported by a spring 62.
- the spring 62 is supported in a support 64 and strives to push the bolt 58 upwards by means of an annular disk 68.
- the central bore 66 of the bolt 58 opens into the hose or pipeline 36.
- a manually operable decompression valve 34 is provided on at least one wall element, which causes the compressed air to escape from the bellows 22 when actuated. After decompression, the two compression springs 18 lift the sealing strips 8, 9 from the base 14 or from the running rail 2.
- a wall connection strip with a pneumatic nozzle, which is connected to a usually stationary compressed air source.
- An air compressor can be located anywhere in the building or in a ceiling niche, for example, and is in flow connection with the nozzle.
- the pressure to be built up by the compressor is preferably approximately 3-6 bar.
- a first wall element 1 is first brought into sliding contact with the running rail 2 against a stationary wall connection strip and thereby opens the associated nozzle valve, so that compressed air can flow into the line 36 in the direction of arrow C.
- the bellows 22 fills with compressed air and moves the rods 16, 16 'in the opposite direction Directions, namely in directions A and B in Fig. 3.
- the two sealing strips 8 and 9 are brought into their sealing position and the position of the wall element 1 between the floor 14 and ceiling fixed.
- the process described is repeated when additional wall elements 1 are added.
- the wall elements do not need to be connected individually to a mobile compressed air source, but the sealing strips 8, 9 can be brought into the sealing position by simply pushing the wall elements 1 together. After assembling the wall elements, they are independent of a compressor or other compressed air sources. If any wall element loses pressure, the remaining wall elements remain under pressure as a result of the check valve.
- a decompression valve 34 is actuated to unlock the sealing strips 8, 9, as a result of which a pressure drop occurs in the lifting element 20.
- the wall element 1 can then be easily moved along the running rail.
- the wall element 1 itself does not have to be raised, but rather only the two sealing strips 8, 9 are pressed upwards and downwards for sealing, it is possible - even with heavy wall elements - to manage with a relatively low pneumatic pressure.
- a commercially available pneumatic piston-cylinder unit could also be used in order to achieve a vertical lifting movement of the sealing strips 8, 9 when compressed air is supplied.
- One embodiment variant is to assign each sealing strip 8, 9 its own bellows or its own cylinder-piston unit with a vertical movement path, which are each connected to the common pressure line 36.
- each wall element 1 can be braced individually or in groups in any position, regardless of the wall connection strip. In this case, a suitably long hose line or a mobile air compressor is required.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a mobile partition wall with wall elements suspended from running rails and with at least one sealing strip assigned to each wall element according to the preamble of
Such partitions are used for optional room division. The individual wall elements can be moved and suspended from rails on the ceiling and can be pushed together in a confined space when not in use. So that the individual wall elements can be easily moved, this requires a floor gap and a ceiling gap. However, it is disadvantageous that the sound absorption as a result of the floor and ceiling gap is unsatisfactory and that there is usually a groove in a floor guide rail in order to achieve the necessary stability of the wall elements.
It is already known (as described, for example, in WO-A-8 300 182) to mechanically press on sealing rails assigned to the individual wall elements. However, this is perceived as cumbersome, especially if the room division is changed frequently.
The object of the invention is to achieve good soundproofing on the one hand and high stability of the individual wall elements on the one hand in mobile partition walls while avoiding a floor guide rail, wherein the bracing should be easy and quick to carry out even with heavy and high wall elements.
This object is achieved by the characterizing features of
This makes it possible to move the wall elements easily along the running rails and to achieve good stability and high sound insulation by activating the pneumatic lifting elements assigned to the wall elements. In addition, the lifting elements can be easily activated from a common compressed air source simply by joining the wall elements together.

The partition wall contains a plurality of mutually independent,
In the space 7 between the two
The
The pneumatically actuated
As can be seen from FIG. 3, the
The
The
On a vertical building wall there is a wall connection strip with a pneumatic nozzle, which is connected to a usually stationary compressed air source. An air compressor can be located anywhere in the building or in a ceiling niche, for example, and is in flow connection with the nozzle. The pressure to be built up by the compressor is preferably approximately 3-6 bar.
To build a partition, a
The process described is repeated when
Since the
Instead of a
One embodiment variant is to assign each sealing
Another embodiment variant is that each
