  7. A machine according to Claim 5 or 6, characterized in that one respective adjustment device (29, 30; 29a, 30a) engages on each transmission housing (22, 23; 22a, 23a).
  8. A machine according to one of Claims 5 to 7, characterized in that one adjustment device (29) has a threaded spindle (31) which is articulated to a transmission housing (22) and on which a nut (34) provided with a handle (33) is mounted.
  9. A machine according to one of Claims 5 to 8, characterized in that the other adjustment device (30) has an operating cylinder (35) of which the piston rod (36) is articulated to the other transmission housing (23).
  10. A machine according to one of Claims 5 to 9, characterized in that the two adjustment devices (29, 30) are arranged on a common retaining means (28) which is preferably provided on the covering hood (16).
  11. A machine according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that at least one additional roller (17, 18), and preferably both additional rollers, are connected to the covering hood (16).
  12. A machine according to Claim 11, characterized in that the transmission housings (22, 23) of the additional rollers (17, 18) are mounted pivotably on the covering hood (16).
  13. A machine according to Claim 12, characterized in that the pivot shafts (26, 27) of the transmission housings (22, 23) are arranged parallel to the spindle (14).
  14. A machine according to one of Claims 5 to 7, characterized in that the additional rollers (17a, 18a) are each connected to one respective support provided with the conveying rollers (5).
  15. A machine according to Claim 14, characterized in that the additional rollers (17a, 18a) are connected by way of the adjustment means (29a, 30a) to a retaining means (41, 42) which is connected to the support.
  16. A machine according to one of Claims 1 to 15, characterized in that at least one further spindle (6, 8) is arranged in front of the additional rollers (17, 18; 17a, 18a).
  17. A machine according to one of Claims 1 to 16, characterized in that the additional rollers (17, 18; 17a, 18a) and the the conveying rollers (5) have the same circumferential speed.
