Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß die Vorratskammer an eine Leimzufuhrleitung angeschlossen ist, in die ein einen Überdruck in der Vorratskammer aufrechterhaltendes Förderorgan integriert ist.
Um zu erreichen, daß auch bei höheren Walzendrehzahlen der in die Walzengravur mit Überdruck eingedrückte Leim sich auf der Wegstrecke vom Auslauf der Walze aus dem Vorratsbehälter bis zur Auftragzone an der Papierbahn in der dafür zur Verfügung stehenden kürzeren Zeit wieder entspannt und die Bahn benetzt, wird außerdem vorgeschlagen, daß das Förderorgan als in Abhängigkeit von der Drehzahl der Übertragungswalze gesteuerte Pumpe ausgebildet ist.
Dabei ist nach einer Weiterbildung der Pumpe zweckmäßigerweise ein bei ansteigender Walzendrehzahl die Förderleistung erhöhendes und bei abfallender Walzendrehzahl die Förderleistung der Pumpe verminderndes Steuermittel zugeordnet. Auf diese Weise wird der Leim bzw. die von ihm eingeschlossene Luft in der Walzengravur derart komponiert, daß er sich in der entsprechend zur Verfügung stehenden Zeit bis zur Übertragung an die Papierbahn soweit entspannt, daß er die Bahnoberfläche mit Sicherheit benetzt.
Zweckmäßigerweise ist zur Kontrolle der Druckverhältnisse in der Vorratskammer diese mit einem Drucküberwachungsanschluß versehen.
Eine drehzahlabhängige gezielte Überfüllung der Walzengravur wird nach einer Weiterbildung unterstützt und vollendet, indem die Vorratskammer an der Austrittsseite der Übertragungswalze gegen deren Mantelfläche durch einen Schaber abgedichtet ist, welcher den bis zum Auslauf aus der Vorratskammer zusätzlich an der Oberfläche der Übertragungswalze haftenden Leimüberschuß abstreicht.
Um den in der Vorratskammer befindlichen, von der Übertragungswalze nicht abgeförderten überschüssigen Leim im Förderkreislauf zu halten, ist außerdem vorgesehen, daß die Vorratskammer an der Eintrittsseite der Übertragungswalze relativ zu deren Mantelfläche eine in einen Sammelbehälter einmündende Spaltöffnung aufweist, aus dem dann der Leimüberschuß in einen den Kreislauf schließenden Hauptsammelbehälter zurückgeführt wird.

Einer am Walzenmantel mit einer Gravur 1 versehenen Leim-Übertragungwalze 2 ist eine Leim-Vorratskammer 3 zugeordnet, in welche die um eine Achse 4 in Richtung des Pfeils 6 rotierende Übertragungswalze 2 im Bereich einer unterseitigen Spaltöffnung 7 in Drehrichtung eintritt und im Bereich eines oberseitigen Schabers oder Rakels 8 austritt.
Die Spaltöffnung 7 stellt eine Verbindung zwischen der Vorratskammer 3 und einem unteren Sammelbehälter 9 dar, welcher wiederum über eine Rücklaufbohrung 11 mit einem Leimreservoir 12 verbunden ist.
Im Bereich einer Leimauftragszone 13 wirkt die Übertragungswalze 2 mit einer um eine Achse 14 in Pfeilrichtung 16 rotierenden Gegenwalze 17 zusammen, zwischen denen eine in Förderrichtung 18 durchlaufende, zu beleimende Papierbahn 19 geführt ist.
An die Vorratskammer 3 ist eine Leimzufuhrleitung 21 angeschlossen, in die ein Förderorgan in Form einer Leimpumpe 22 integriert ist, welche Leim aus dem Leimreservoir 12 derart in die Vorratskammer 2 pumpt, daß darin immer ein Überdruck aufrecherhalten wird. Zur Überwachung dieses Überdrucks ist die Vorratskammer 3 mit einem Drucküberwachungsanschluß 23 versehen.
Die Drehzahl bzw. die Förderleistung der Pumpe 22 wird in Abhängigkeit von der Maschinengeschwindigkeit, in diesem Fall einer Filteransetzmaschine der Tabakindustrie bzw. von der Drehzahl der Übertragungswalze 2 durch ein Steuermittel 24 derart gesteuert, daß bei ansteigender Drehzahl der Übertragungswalze 2 die Förderleistung der Pumpe 22 und damit der Druck in der Vorratskammer 3 erhöht wird und bei abfallender Walzendrehzahl die Pumpendrehzahl und damit die Förderleistung vermindert wird.
Zu diesem Zweck ist das Steuermittel 24 steuerungsmäßig mit einem Vergleichsglied 26 verbunden, welchem ein Signal eines Drehzahlgebers 27 der Übertragungswalze 2 über einen Drehzahl/Spannungswandler 28 sowie ein Drucksignal aus der Vorratskammer 3 über einen Druck/Spannungswandler 29 zugeführt wird. Das Vergleichs- bzw. Differenzsignal des Vergleichsgliedes 26 aktiviert das Steuermittel 24 zu einer Erhöhung oder Verminderung der Pumpendrehzahl und damit zu einer entsprechenden Veränderung des Kammerdrucks in der Vorratskammer 3.
Auf diese Weise werden die Zwischenräume der Gravur 1 bei jeder Walzendrehzahl immer mit einem entsprechenden Überdruck derart überfüllt, daß nach dem Abstreifen des Leimüberschusses durch den Schaber 8 der unter Überdruck in der Gravur verbliebene Leim sich bis zur Auftragszone 13 soweit radial entspannt, daß eine einwandfreie Kontaktierung mit der Papierbahn in allen Drehzahlbereichen der Übertragungswalze 2 erfolgt.
Nicht aus der Vorratskammer 3 abgeförderter Leimüberschuß wird über die Spaltöffnung 7 in den Sammelbehälter 9 und über dessen Rücklaufbohrung 11 in das Leimreservoir 12 und damit in den Förderkreislauf zurückgeführt.
