Definitions
- the invention relates to a reclosable packaging made of plastic film, in particular for holding paper handkerchiefs, with a front wall, a rear wall, and with foldable side tabs which can be folded for opening and closing, the side tabs being divided into tab parts by folding along predetermined fold lines.
- Plastic films are one of the most commonly used packaging materials.
- plastic films are used for rectangular soft packs, which serve to hold a stack of folded paper handkerchiefs (DE-U-91 09 814.9).
- cigarette packs are also known which consist of a multilayer (laminated) plastic film.
- a property of plastic films that is disadvantageous for packaging technology is that, due to the material-related restoring forces in plastic films, constant recurring fold lines formed by merely folding cannot be achieved.
- these are particularly necessary in the case of packagings which have folding tabs, in particular closing tabs, for multiple opening and reclosing of the pack (DE-U-91 09 814.9). With such resealable film packaging, it is necessary that folding tabs are reliably and correctly folded along predetermined folding lines.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of preparing or treating packaging material with permanent restoring forces, in particular plastic film, in such a way that fold lines are formed repeatedly without external intervention.
- the packaging according to the invention is characterized in that strip-shaped areas of the flap parts lie against one another on both sides of the fold lines with the same side of the plastic film and are permanently connected to one another by thermal sealing or adhesive bonding.
- the plastic film is therefore treated in the region of the fold line by permanent deformation in such a way that a stable fold line is formed which is not influenced by restoring forces.
- strip-shaped regions of the film which run directly adjacent to the fold line are preferably connected to one another, specifically by thermal sealing, by adhesive bonding or in some other way.
- a resulting sealing seam is stable for recurring folds, especially in connection with opening and reclosing the packaging.
- the sealing seam or the folding line defined by this has certain restoring forces in the direction of the folding position. From DE-A-2 029 976 a carrier bag formed from a plastic film is known, which has cross-sections M-shaped side folds.
- the inside of the film is provided with a reinforcement made of a glued-on paper strip.
- This reinforcement is also foldable according to the side fold of the carrier bag. The return of the film to the folded position is not or not significantly improved by this reinforcement, since an active restoring force is not generated by the paper strip.
- the film treated in the manner according to the invention is particularly suitable for reclosable, rectangular packaging in which an upper wall serves as a closing flap and is connected to narrow side walls of the pack by foldable side flaps.
- an upper wall serves as a closing flap and is connected to narrow side walls of the pack by foldable side flaps.
- the closing flap or the top wall is closed, the side flaps are precisely folded in between the top wall and the end face of the package.
- a cuboid packaging 10 is shown in the drawings with front wall 11, rear wall 12, narrow side walls 13, 14 and end walls, ie bottom wall 15 and top wall 16.
- the latter is integrally connected to the rear wall 12 and extends in the same plane as the latter when the packaging is opened according to FIG. 1.
- a free end of the top wall 16 is designed as a tab 17. When the packaging is closed, this extends down to the front wall 11.
- the top wall 16 is further connected to the side walls 13, 14, in particular via approximately triangular side tabs 18, 19. These run to the rear corner points 20, 21, in which the top wall 16, rear wall 12, side wall 13 and Butt top wall 16, rear wall 12, side wall 14.
- the packaging consists of a plastic film. This is not necessarily provided with pre-made fold lines. Rather, the latter arise only through the use of the packaging and are specifically provided at certain points in individual cases.
- the transitions between the individual walls 11. 16 or tabs 18, 19 are therefore not sharply defined and are only shown as (crease) lines in the figures.
- the upright edge 22 between the front wall 11 and the side wall 13 is not an edge in the sense of a sharp bend, but rather a logical separation between the side wall and the front wall. The same applies to the other "edges" that can be seen in the figures, unless otherwise shown below.
- FIG. 2 to 5 show the package 10 once in the open position, analogously to FIG. 1, and secondly in an intermediate closed position, in particular FIG. 4.
- the upper wall 16 is angled slightly forwards from the plane of the rear wall 12 .
- the tab 17 is further angled further, an enlarged illustration of this is shown in FIG. 6.
- the side tabs are stretched.
- the side flaps 18, 19 are folded inward via an intermediate folding position according to FIGS. 4 and 5 or 6 into a closed position in which the side flaps 18, 19 are folded below the top wall 16.
- the tab 17 extends in the region of the front wall 11 and can be detachably connected to it, for example by an adhesive tape.
- Fold lines 23, 24 are specified at the transition from the side flaps 18, 19 to the side walls 13, 14, likewise fold lines 25, 26 corresponding to the transition from the side flaps 18, 19 to the top wall 16.
- Fold lines 27, 28 run in from the corner points 20, 21 Diagonal direction for dividing the side tabs 18, 19 into a tab part 29, 30 connected to the top wall 16 and a tab part 31, 32 connected to the side wall 13, 14.
- the triangular-shaped side tabs 18, 19 here should have a precise folding pattern in the closed position even after the packaging has been opened and closed several times.
- at least the fold lines 27 and 28 are designed in a special way, as shown in detail in FIG. 7.
- the side flap parts overlap part 29 and flap part 31 or 30 and 32) are permanently connected to one another in the region of the fold line 27 or 28 to form a seam 33 of a defined width.
- the packaging is preferably made of a thermoplastic material.
- the seam 33 is then formed by applying pressure and heat as a sealed or embossed seam with a width of approximately 0.5 mm.
- the packaging is closed by placing the top wall 16 or tab 17 against the front wall 11, the fold lines 27, 28 or the seam 33 automatically achieve a clean inward folding of the side flaps 18, 19. There are no disruptive protrusions to the outside and no unwanted additional ones Wrinkles.
- the package 10 remains functionally and visually appealing in this area even after repeated opening and closing.
- the seam 33 described can alternatively or additionally be provided in the region of the fold lines 23, 26, just as these themselves are alternatively or additionally arranged to the fold lines 27, 28.
- a blank provided to form the packaging 10 is formed in one piece and is not shown here.
- the tab 17 has a free edge 35 which is approximately circularly convexly curved.
- a free edge 36 of the front wall 11 is concavely curved.
- the edges 34, 35, 36 flow into one another in the manner of a sine line.
- the resulting edge line (sine line) has no kinks or jumps.
- the dimensionally stable fold line or embossed seam shown in FIG. 7 can also be produced by gluing the strip-shaped regions.
- other shape-changing treatments of the film in the area of fold lines are also possible, for example local stretching of the films to create a strip-like material reduction in the area of the fold line.
- the fold line described and shown in FIG. 7 can also be applied to other shapes and types of packaging where stabilized, reliably formed fold lines are required.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a reclosable packaging made of plastic film, in particular for holding paper handkerchiefs, with a front wall, a rear wall, and with foldable side tabs which can be folded for opening and closing, the side tabs being divided into tab parts by folding along predetermined fold lines.
Plastic films are one of the most commonly used packaging materials. In particular, plastic films are used for rectangular soft packs, which serve to hold a stack of folded paper handkerchiefs (DE-U-91 09 814.9). However, cigarette packs are also known which consist of a multilayer (laminated) plastic film.
A property of plastic films that is disadvantageous for packaging technology is that, due to the material-related restoring forces in plastic films, constant recurring fold lines formed by merely folding cannot be achieved. However, these are particularly necessary in the case of packagings which have folding tabs, in particular closing tabs, for multiple opening and reclosing of the pack (DE-U-91 09 814.9). With such resealable film packaging, it is necessary that folding tabs are reliably and correctly folded along predetermined folding lines.
The invention is therefore based on the object of preparing or treating packaging material with permanent restoring forces, in particular plastic film, in such a way that fold lines are formed repeatedly without external intervention.
To achieve this object, the packaging according to the invention is characterized in that strip-shaped areas of the flap parts lie against one another on both sides of the fold lines with the same side of the plastic film and are permanently connected to one another by thermal sealing or adhesive bonding.
In the invention, the plastic film is therefore treated in the region of the fold line by permanent deformation in such a way that a stable fold line is formed which is not influenced by restoring forces. For this purpose, strip-shaped regions of the film which run directly adjacent to the fold line are preferably connected to one another, specifically by thermal sealing, by adhesive bonding or in some other way. A resulting sealing seam is stable for recurring folds, especially in connection with opening and reclosing the packaging. The sealing seam or the folding line defined by this has certain restoring forces in the direction of the folding position. From DE-A-2 029 976 a carrier bag formed from a plastic film is known, which has cross-sections M-shaped side folds. In the area of the same, the inside of the film is provided with a reinforcement made of a glued-on paper strip. This reinforcement is also foldable according to the side fold of the carrier bag. The return of the film to the folded position is not or not significantly improved by this reinforcement, since an active restoring force is not generated by the paper strip.
The film treated in the manner according to the invention is particularly suitable for reclosable, rectangular packaging in which an upper wall serves as a closing flap and is connected to narrow side walls of the pack by foldable side flaps. In this construction of a package it is important that when the closing flap or the top wall is closed, the side flaps are precisely folded in between the top wall and the end face of the package.

As an advantageous application example, a
The
The packaging consists of a plastic film. This is not necessarily provided with pre-made fold lines. Rather, the latter arise only through the use of the packaging and are specifically provided at certain points in individual cases. Die Lasche 17 ist nochmals weiter abgewinkelt, eine vergrößerte Darstellung hiervon zeigt Fig. 6.2 to 5 show the
In the open position (Fig. 2) the side tabs are stretched. During the closing process, the side flaps 18, 19 are folded inward via an intermediate folding position according to FIGS. 4 and 5 or 6 into a closed position in which the side flaps 18, 19 are folded below the
For the exact folding of the triangular side flaps 18, 19, these are delimited and divided by fold lines. The triangular-shaped
The packaging is preferably made of a thermoplastic material. The

A blank provided to form the
The dimensionally stable fold line or embossed seam shown in FIG. 7 can also be produced by gluing the strip-shaped regions. Alternatively, other shape-changing treatments of the film in the area of fold lines are also possible, for example local stretching of the films to create a strip-like material reduction in the area of the fold line.
The fold line described and shown in FIG. 7 can also be applied to other shapes and types of packaging where stabilized, reliably formed fold lines are required.
