Definitions

  • the present invention relates to lighting fixtures for tubular lamps held in sockets on strips. These devices can have one, two or three tubular lamps.
  • These devices are intended to be mounted in line, joined one after the other so as to illuminate very large surfaces such as supermarket surfaces.
  • Lighting devices with one, two or three tubular lamps have been known for a long time.
  • the lighting fixtures are generally arranged in a line joined to each other.
  • the lighting fixtures are secured to a support which is itself fixed to the wall or to the ceiling, or even suspended therefrom.
  • this support which is a profiled support, is used as a channel to house the power and control cables. It is understood that each device must be connected to these power cables.
  • connection devices for connecting and placing these devices online.
  • document DE-B-1008828 describes lighting fixtures each comprising a single tubular lamp, which can be mounted in line and connected together by a push-fit junction device between the two ends of adjacent fixtures.
  • the junction device is screwed between the two adjacent devices and therefore intended to be used essentially for waterproof lighting fixtures.
  • Document DE-A-2201172 also describes means for connecting two successive lamps arranged axially. It should be noted that this device is particularly complex and difficult to access.
  • the document FR-A-0759399 also describes a system for connecting lighting devices joined one after the other.
  • Document DE-A-2143977 describes a support or ramp containing several lamps which are simply connected by a contact element intended to provide the link between two successive lamps arranged on the same support.
  • the object of the present invention is to propose lighting devices suitable for an in-line mounting method in which the connection of each lighting device to the power and control cables is extremely simplified.
  • the present invention also aims to provide lighting fixtures to which it is easy to access even when they are mounted in line one after the other.
  • the present invention aims to provide lighting fixtures for which the installation of a support profile is not absolutely essential.
  • the present invention relates to a lighting device for tubular lamp (s) comprising at least at one of its ends, a connection device equipped on the one hand with a housing open so as to receive the lamp sockets and on the other hand of an element called more generally a terminal block comprising terminals for at least two supply conductors, the terminals of two terminal blocks, each present in a connection device disposed at each end of two devices of 'adjacent lighting, being interconnected by a junction connector when two lighting fixtures are placed one after the other in an axial alignment.
  • junction connector is advantageously produced in the form of a bridge which engages simultaneously in the terminals present on the two terminal blocks of two adjacent devices.
  • This junction connector is engaged essentially perpendicularly to the axis, and therefore relative to the axial arrangement of installation of two lighting devices arranged one after the other.
  • the present invention also relates to a connection device equipped on the one hand with a housing open so as to receive one, two or three sockets of tubular lamp (s), and on the other hand with an element or terminal block comprising terminals for at least two supply conductors.
  • this device is in the form of a possibly metallic flange, in which is fitted on the one hand the socket or sockets intended for the lamps, and on the other hand an element or terminal block comprising the terminals of the supply conductors .
  • the terminal blocks can be on the one hand elements comprising female terminals, and on the other hand elements comprising male terminals.
  • a lighting apparatus comprises at one end an element with male terminals, and at its other end an element with female terminals.
  • the trigger guard also comprises terminals respectively of the male and female type which fit into the corresponding terminals of the elements present in the connection devices.
  • the present invention also relates to a junction connector in the form of a bridge intended to make the connection between two successive lighting fixtures.
  • this trigger guard has male type terminals on the one hand and female type terminals on the other hand.
  • both male and female terminals on the trigger guard but also on the terminal blocks present in the connection devices are protected by individual sockets.
  • Figure 1 shows a wiring diagram of two lighting fixtures according to the present invention.
  • Figures 2 and 3 show respectively a perspective view of an empty connection device and a perspective view of a connection device equipped with its accessories used for a lighting device comprising a single tubular lamp.
  • Figures 4 and 5 show a perspective view of a connection device equipped for lighting fixtures comprising respectively 2 and 3 tubular lamps.
  • Figure 6 shows a perspective view of a junction connector used to secure two lighting fixtures placed end to end.
  • Figures 7 and 8 show respectively a cross section and a longitudinal section of a junction between two neighboring lighting fixtures mounted in line.
  • connection device comprises on the one hand a housing open so as to receive the socket (s) 3 or 4 and on the other hand an element more generally called terminal block 11 or 12 comprising, according to the embodiment shown, three terminals each, at namely 5, 6 and 7 on the one hand, and 8, 9 and 10 on the other.
  • Terminals 5 - 8 and 6 - 9 are connected to conductors serving as supply conductors, and terminals 7 - 10 represent an earth conductor.
  • the terminals of the elements 11 and 12 present in the connection devices of the same device are on the one hand connected to each other, and on the other hand serve as the starting point of a supply circuit of the tubular lamp or lamps 13 engaged in sockets 3 and 4 with which the lighting apparatus according to the present invention is fitted.
  • This supply circuit is conventional and may for example include a starter 14 and a ballast 15. It may also include, for example, a selective control device, not shown, for lighting the lamp 13. In such a case , the number of terminals of the connection devices may be larger than three.
  • connection device 1 A second lighting device, arranged in line, and placed end to end with the first lighting device, is symbolized by a connection device 1 'next to the connection device 2.
  • connection devices 2 and 1' are designed to be electrically connected by means of a junction connector 20, shown in the non-engaged position, in alignment with the terminals 8, 9, 10 and 5 ', 6' 7 'of the terminals 12 and 11'.
  • connection device 1 or 2 is shown more particularly in Figures 2 and 3.
  • the connection devices are end flanges made of molded material on which are fixed, preferably by clipping, d on the one hand, socket bases 3 (or 4), and on the other hand terminal blocks 11 (or 12) which include terminals 5, 6 and 7 (or 8, 9 and 10).
  • the terminals are arranged substantially perpendicular to the axial direction of the lighting fixture. This of course means that the terminals are also arranged essentially parallel to the socket (s) intended to receive the lamp (s) from the lighting apparatus.
  • the terminals present in the terminals 11 and 12 can be at one end of the male type (terminals 5, 6 and 7 for the element 11) and at the other end of the female type (terminals 8 , 9 and 10 for element 12).
  • the device When mounting two successive lighting fixtures in line, the device is placed in such a way that, following a first device having female terminals at one of its ends (terminal block 12), there is a second device with male terminals (terminal 11 ').
  • Figures 4 and 5 each time represent a connection device 1 or 2 equipped with its accessories.
  • Figure 4 shows a connection device in which are fixed two socket bases 3 'and 3' 'arranged on the two side parts of the connection device while the terminal block is arranged conventionally on its upper part.
  • the junction connector 20 is plugged into the terminal block 11.
  • Figure 5 shows a connection device equipped with three socket bases 3, 3 'and 3' 'so that the lighting fixture for which it is intended may include three tubular lamps.
  • FIG. 6 represents a junction connector 20 in the form of a bridge.
  • This bridge comprises two series of terminals (on the one hand the terminals 28, 29 and 30 and on the other hand the terminals 25, 26 and 27) each of which series is intended to be plugged into the corresponding terminals of the terminal blocks 12 and 11 '.
  • junction connectors 20 must also have male type terminals (terminals 28, 29, 30) on the one hand and female type terminals (terminals 25, 26, 27) which fit into the corresponding terminals of the terminal blocks arranged in the corresponding connection devices 2 and 1 '.
  • junction connectors 20 not only make it possible to establish electrical connections, but they also ensure perfect adjustment of the mechanical alignment of the two neighboring devices placed end to end. They make it possible to avoid prior placement of supply conductors in a profile channel, and separate connections of the various lighting fixtures to these supply conductors.
  • connection devices 1 and 2 and more particularly the terminal blocks 11 and 12 are oriented in such a way that the connectors 20 can be engaged therein after the devices are permanently mounted.
  • connection of two lighting fixtures shown in Figures 7 and 8 is made by fixing the fixtures on a profile 100 for example of aluminum. As already said, this mounting on aluminum profile is not absolutely essential.
  • connection devices 2 and 1 ′ are located next to each other and are connected by means of the joining device 20. This has already been shown in the diagram, FIG. 1.
  • Each device comprises a sole 113 and a cover 116 covering the sole 113 so as to constitute a strip on which the lamp 13 will be placed.
  • This strip is, according to the embodiment shown more particularly in FIG. 2, fixed to a profile 100.
  • Fixing the lighting fixtures to the profile 100 can be done by clips 117, shown in Figure 7 only, or in any other suitable way. If the lighting fixtures are fixed directly to a wall, ceiling or structural beam, they can be fixed, for example, by screws.
  • the lamp ends constituted by the connection devices 1 'and 2, the sockets 3' and 4, the terminal blocks 11 'and 12 comprising the various terminals as well as the junction connector 20 between two successive connection devices, can be covered by a junction cover 118 in order to improve the aesthetics of the assembly.
  • This cover 118 as shown in section in FIGS. 7 and 8, is preferably provided with lugs 119 or an edge 120, or simultaneously with lugs 119 and edge 120.
  • These elements 119 and 120 make it possible to on the one hand the exact location of the cover 118 relative to the sockets 3 'and 4 and on the other hand prevent the lamp sockets from being able to be deflected obliquely from their normal position when the lamps are engaged.
