Description

The invention relates to a display element for elevators with light-emitting diodes arranged on a printed circuit, the light of which, by means of a lens, represents important information for the passenger in the form of symbols.

A display element is known from EP application specification 92110333.9 with US priority 07/736084 dated July 26, 1991, in which light-emitting diodes are used instead of light bulbs to represent symbols, such as driving direction arrows. Light-emitting diodes arranged in an arrow shape on a printed circuit board are immersed in an arrow-shaped lens housing into which lenses are embedded. The display element is closed off by a filter plate on the display side.

A disadvantage of the known device is the complicated structure of the symbol to be displayed. The lens housing arranged on a lens carrier and the lenses embedded therein necessitate a complex and costly production process. In addition, only one symbol can be displayed with this design.

Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. The invention seeks to remedy this. The invention, as characterized in the claims, achieves the object of avoiding the disadvantages of the known device and of creating a display element in which different symbols with incandescent illuminance can be represented with simple means.

The advantage achieved by the invention is essentially to be seen in the fact that, in existing devices, lightbulb-operated display elements can be replaced by light-emitting diode-operated display elements without the aesthetic presentation being impaired by different illuminance levels.

Brücken A;B;C;D, Widerstände R1 ... R3, Dioden D1 ... D4 und Anschlussdrähte L1;L2 dienen der Beschaltung der Leuchtdioden LED1 ... LED15. Linse 2, Lichtdiffusor 4 und gedruckte Schaltung 7 werden von an der Deckplatte 1 angeordneten Trägerbolzen 8 und Muttern 9 gehalten.1 to 4, 1 denotes a cover plate with an opening, not shown, through which a lens 2 passes, the collar of which bears on the rear side of the cover plate 1. A light diffuser 4 immersed in the rear of the lens 2 consists of a body 5 which is dependent in the form of the symbol to be represented, with an am Lens collar 3 pending flange 6. So that the light emitted by the lens 2 appears to the viewer as white as possible and without a light shadow, the light diffuser 4 is made of translucent polycarbonates with a white tint. Light-emitting diodes LED1... LED15, which are arranged in the light diffuser 4 and are provided as light transmitters, are provided on a printed circuit 7 and emit light with a wavelength of 590 nm, for example. Green, red or other colored LEDs LED1 ... LED15 are used as required. Bridges A; B; C; D, resistors R1 ... R3, diodes D1 ... D4 and connecting wires L1; L2 are used to connect the LEDs LED1 ... LED15. The light-emitting diode side of the printed circuit 7 as well as the side wall of the light diffuser 4 are coated white for better light reflection. Lens 2, light diffuser 4 and printed circuit 7 are held by support bolts 8 and nuts 9 arranged on the cover plate 1.

The other bridge branch is connected to the connecting wires L1; L2, to which the supply voltage is applied. With a supply voltage of 120 V AC, the first bridge A and the third bridge C are opened and the second resistor R2 and the third resistor R3 are removed. With a supply voltage of 24 V DC, the second bridge B and the fourth bridge D are opened.

Eine dementsprechend flach gebaute Linse 2 schliesst das Anzeigeelement gegen die Deckplatte 1 ab.As a further exemplary embodiment, the display element according to the invention is shown in flat construction in FIG. 4.
