Abstract

The ventilator incorporates an open housing with a baffle wall ceiling (5). Several driven rain protection covers (9) are located to the side of the ceiling. In open position, the covers form guide walls for the outflowing air. The journal pins (8) of the covers are located in a plane, which is slightly inclined relative to the baffle ceiling. The rain protection covers are double-armed and slightly curved.

Description

CH-A-637 754 und DE-U-1 849 839).The invention relates to a roof vent according to the preamble of claim 1 (see e.g. CH-A-637 754 and DE-U-1 849 839).

Companies with heat-intensive technology require particularly sophisticated ventilation technology that is adapted to the environmental climate. In such operations, large convection and radiant heat flows are emitted to the environment. Large air mass flows are required to dissipate this heat in order to ensure optimal microclimate conditions. Thereby, thermodynamic ventilation is used.

Especially with large roof openings, it is important, on the one hand, to guide the escaping exhaust air flows as laminarly as possible and, on the other hand, to ensure that the roof openings are adequately secured against raining in rainy weather.

In known roof surface ventilators, registers with rigid guide walls are generally provided in the roof surface ventilator housing for the air guidance and are set for a specific environmental condition. They are unable to adapt to the prevailing weather conditions. They are also difficult to access for necessary cleaning work. Furthermore rain cover elements are provided above these guide walls, with which raining into the roof surface ventilators should be prevented. Since these are usually rigid, they prevent airflow.

The present invention has for its object to improve a roof vent for wide roof openings so that it can be adapted to different weather conditions.

The solution to the problem is according to the invention in the characterizing features of claim 1. In this embodiment, the rain shutters take on the one hand the known task of a rain shutter organ and on the other hand that of weather-controlled guide walls for the exhaust air flow.

The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment shown schematically in the drawing.

The roof vent, shown in cross section in the drawing, for wide roof openings consists of an inlet duct 1, which is fastened by means of flanges 2 to a wide roof opening 3 and to which a much wider housing 4 connects.

This housing 4 is widened in a funnel shape, open at the top and has in its center, at a distance above the roof opening 3, a baffle wall ceiling 5 which is optionally shaped as a roof profile and which is equipped with lateral rain gutters 6.

Between the side edges of this baffle cover 5 and the upper edge 7 of the housing 4 are in a plane slightly inclined to the baffle cover 5 and Arranged coaxially to the longitudinal axis of the baffle cover 5, pins 8, on which a plurality of preferably double-armed rain shutters 9 connected to an adjustment drive, not shown, are arranged. These are dimensioned such that they overlap like shingles in the closed state in the direction of the assigned rain gutter 6. As a result of the arrangement of the pins 8 on an inclined plane, the closed rain shutters 9 form a slight slope.

The rain shutters 9 are advantageously slightly curved. Depending on the prevailing weather, they can assume a more or less inclined position in operation and are essentially vertical. They can be closed completely in rainy weather.
