Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an RJ connector for communications and data technology according to the preamble of claim 1.
This creates a capacitor effect between the contact tracks, which leads to a deterioration in some electrical characteristics of the connectors. The values of the crosstalk attenuation / crosstalk attenuation do not meet the requirements if their use is intended in high-speed networks (CDDI / FDDI arrangements: Cooper Distributed Data Interface / Fiber Distributed Data Interface). The inner contacts of the RJ connectors are also different in material thickness and material quality than the outer contacts of the insulation displacement technology. The connection between the inner and outer contacts is made in the known connectors by soldering or welding or via printed circuit boards / printed circuit boards. The resulting transition points also have a negative influence on some electrical characteristics of the connectors. The voice and data transmission via transmission paths with 100 Mbit / s or the use of RJ connectors in the frequency range from 20 to 100 MHz provides, among other things. very high demands on crosstalk attenuation, insertion loss and reflection loss, which are not met by the known RJ connectors.
The invention is therefore based on the object of developing an RJ connector of the generic type which is significantly improved in its electrical parameters and which corresponds to
The solution to this problem results from the characterizing features of claim 1.
By fanning out the individual contacts in the RJ connector, which are guided in parallel in the predetermined grid dimension, and extending them to contacts of the insulation displacement technique on two levels, an optimized arrangement of the RJ contacts and thus a substantial improvement in the electrical parameters of the RJ connector is achieved . The improvement of the electrical parameters, in particular the damping values, results from the elimination of any transition points in the contact guide path, since the contact springs are led directly into one of the double contacts of the insulation displacement technology for the cable connection (LSA contacts). There are no soldered or welded connections and material differences in the contact path. Furthermore, the contact guides are shorter and the distances between the contacts are maximized within the given frame. This minimizes the coupling capacities between the contact tracks. The use of exclusive insulation displacement technology (LSA PLUS) also enables wires with different diameters to be connected on the cable connection side of the connector. The measures according to the invention make the RJ connectors suitable for use in CDDI arrangements.
Further advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the subclaims.

Fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of a side view of the basic arrangement of the individual contacts of an RJ connector 1 combined with
This offset contact routing maximizes the distances between the
