    between the electromagnet (23) and the safety catch (25) is arranged a locking lever (24), the locking lever (24) is constructed as a two-armed rocking lever and is pivotably mounted axially parallel to the safety catch (25), one arm of the locking lever (24) is constructed as armature (26) of the electromagnet (23) magnet (23) and the other arm (27) is provided with a stop member (28) for engaging with the safety catch (25), and the effective contact surface between the safety catch (25) and the stop member (28) is constructed in such a way that also when uninterrupted pressure of safety catch (25) occurs on the stop member (28) at the time of a power supply interruption to the electromagnet (23), a wedge-like displacement action occurs on the stop member (28) through the safety catch (25).
  2. A locking/release mechanism according to claim 1,
    characterized in that
    the stop member (28) comprises a bush (30) mounted in rotary manner.
  3. A locking/release mechanism according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that
    the locking lever (24) is pretensioned by a first spring (34) towards the locked position.
  4. A locking/release mechanism according to claim 3, characterized in that
    a second spring (36) which is directed against the first spring (34) is provided and acts on the locking lever (24) in such a way that it is positioned in an intermediate position so that, as required, it can pivot towards the electromagnet (32) and the locked position or in the release direction.
  5. A locking/release mechanism according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the two arms of the locking lever (24) are oriented substantially perpendicular to one another and the bearing point of the locking lever is at the intersection of its two arms.
  6. A locking/release mechanism according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the arm (27) is subject to tension.
