Description

The invention relates to a textile cleaning machine with a treatment drum receiving the goods to be cleaned, which is connected to a drying air circuit to which an air-flowed lint filter is connected, to which a cyclone separator in a bypass circuit via a lint suction nozzle and a suction line subordinate, which is connected to the drying air circuit again via a suction line equipped with a blower.

In a dry cleaning machine, drying of the goods in the treatment drum is carried out in succession via a blower of drying air in a closed circuit via a heater for heating the drying air, through the treatment drum and via a cooler for separating off the solvent. The drying air loaded with solvent is depleted on a cold register and returned to the heating system. Such machines typically also include a still. With regard to the general structure and the mode of operation of these machines, reference is made, for. B. on DE-OS 32 34 105. A device for clearing and cleaning stills of textile cleaning machines is described in DE-PS 33 38 332.

The generic state of the art described at the beginning results from an obvious prior use. The cyclone separator must be cleaned after a certain operating time. So far, it has been necessary to open the cyclone separator in order to remove the separated lint, dirt particles and the like. To maintain operation, an exchange of the cyclone separator enriched with separations can be provided for a cleaned separator.

The object of the invention is to make the machine described in the introduction more secure in its handling, taking into account environmental protection and the protection of the operators.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the cyclone separator has a valve-controlled flushing connection connected to a solvent pump in its upper housing area and a valve-controlled dirt drain on its housing base, which is connected to a machine still.

It is thereby achieved according to the invention that the cleaning or emptying of the cyclone separator can also be carried out in a completely closed system. Because, according to the invention, cleaning can now be carried out by time-controlled rinsing with solvent which rinses all deposits out of the cyclone separator and pumps them directly into the still.

Further advantages of the invention result from the description of an exemplary embodiment.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing.

Of a textile cleaning machine, a treatment drum 1, which holds the laundry to be cleaned, is shown only in the detail, which is connected to a drying air circuit 2, which is guided, inter alia, via an air cooler 3. In the flow path of the air, a lint filter 4 is connected, which in the exemplary embodiment is a rotary lint filter which is driven by a motor 5 and is made of metal gauze and which has a lint suction nozzle 6 at its upper end. A cyclone separator 9 is connected to the latter via a suction line 8 equipped with a shut-off valve 7 and its housing encloses a filter insert 10 lying in the axis of rotation of the housing. The suction line 8 coming from the lint filter 4 opens at the top into the housing of the cyclone separator 9, specifically into the annular space formed by the filter insert 10 and the housing. For the cleaned air, a suction line 11 is connected to the upper end of the filter insert 10 and is connected to the drying air circuit 2 via a blower 12 and a downstream shut-off valve 13 above the lint filter 4.

The housing of the cyclone separator 9 has in its upper region a flushing connection 14 opening into the aforementioned annular space, which is connected via a shut-off valve 15 to a solvent pump, not shown in the drawing.

The bottom of the housing of the cyclone separator 9 is designed as a funnel 16 which tapers downwards and is connected to a machine still, not shown, via an outlet 18 equipped with a shut-off valve 17.

Via the blower 12, fluff and dirt particles are sucked out of the drying air flowing through the fluff filter 4 via the fluff suction nozzle 6 and into the cyclone separator 9 fed where lint 19, dirt particles or the like settle in the annular space between the cyclone separator housing and the filter insert 10 and collect in the funnel 16 or bottom area. The blower 12 then sucks the air cleaned in this way through the filter insert 10 and presses it behind the shut-off valve 13 into the drying air circuit 2. At certain time intervals that are automatically controlled, after opening the shut-off valves 15, 17, solvent is introduced into the annular space of the cyclone separator 9 pumped. As a result, the inner wall of the cyclone separator 9 and the outer surface of the filter insert 10 are cleaned; but above all, fluff, dirt particles and the like are washed into the area of the outlet 18 and pumped from there into the machine still.

According to the invention, a lint filter which is self-cleaning in the closed system was thus created. The residues can then be pumped out of the still into a disposal barrel which no longer has to have any manual openings.
